Quick read by the alter ego of Dustin Stevens. This is the beginning of a series, a continuing story, about a recently retired SEAL trying to discover why his wife was shot by a mugger. It reads like Stevens was writing a pilot for a "made for internet" series. Netflix, Hulu or such. Stevens has done much better work. Not too interested in finishing off the other four books in the series. Quick read by the alter ego of Dustin Stevens. I usually don't write reviews but these two books were such a mess that I felt that I had to send a review. Ok, so it was split into two books but it felt like the first book stopped Suddenly in the middle of a thought and the second book just stopped after the first page. So glad I didn't pay for it. Would have been a really good read... Until the old but goody "institutionalized racism" ....If I want to read CNN talking points, I'll buy Hillary's book. And if one wants to use an all encompassing word like "institutionalized" , well here's a fine example. " The institutionalized corruption of the Portland and Berkeley police who stood by, on orders from their liberal mayors , while ANTIFA burned property and assaulted bystanders"..... There ya go. #Encompassing EqualsAll Would have been a really good read... Until the old but goody "institutionalized racism" ....If I want to read CNN talking points, I'll buy Hillary's book. Losing Mira starts a dangerous domino effect. A worthy read that initially caught me off guard when the title character is ambushed and gunned down. Once the fallout begins to unfold Mira's husband who has just begun his military separation serving as a seal, is devastated thinking he was the target and his wife paid the price. The storyline includes backtracking through earlier times as Mira and her husband meet and their love began to grow. Needless to say there is hell to pay with gruesome res Losing Mira starts a dangerous domino effect. Ahhhhhhhhhhh OH NO!!! Hurry up and release the next book!! I don't think I can wait for the next book 😳 This book is awesome. I love dustin Stevens writing style and plan to read all of his books. I enjoy the way that he gradually gives details and fills in the story. And in this book I like the way it goes back to Kyle and Mira's relationship; it explains how much in love he is. So hurry up! What a conundrum, from soaring highs to abject lows...a very good read. I started early on thinking, "How is he going to get all of this story into the length of book he has given me?" T.R. has a great cast of characters with a good backstory. I'm excited to see where it takes me as a reader. Good job! What a conundrum, from soaring highs to abject lows...a very good read. Looking forward to book two Can't wait to continue this series. Dustin Stevens is already one of my favorites.so if he write this series as T.R.Kohler that's fine with me. Seal team I enjoyed the book, but I have a few complaints. Shifting between the 'past' and the 'present' at too brief intervals was annoying. It is a serial so the abrupt 'ending' should have been expected but wasn't. I will read the next in series, since almost nothing was resolved. Self involved and boring. This character was so self involved, judging everyone around him before h even knew and the story was so boring.I could only get thru a little more then half of this book. Which is too bad, because I have really enjoyed master's that take place in Columbus Ohio. Self involved and boring. Not a great fan of flashbacks. I should have read all the italics first. The sentences of dialogue were so brief and so separated that I ended up going to only the dialogue so the story would just get moving

Great read This was exceptionally easy to read. It didn't get into deep military jargon which often happens. It pulled at my heart strings. I felt the love as well as feeling the anger. Hunt For A Killer Life after discharge from the military doesn't go as expected because his wife is murdered. The hunt for the killer makes this novel a tense thriller. Riveting and imaginative reading. An adventure with a glimpse into what the mindset could be of certain characters with resultant actions under unfavorable conditions. Well written and fascinating.

Mira and Kyle seem to be the perfect couple until his last night as a Navy Seal when his entire world is shot to pieces when someone approaches them in Balboa Park asking for spare change. The book does end rather abruptly but left me wanting to know what was next.

On the exact date this Navy SEAL leaves the service, he and his wife go out with friends to celebrate. After 10 years of fighting and sleeping in god forsaken places, he’s ready to settle into the next chapter of his life with his wife. This evening ends in a way you won’t believe. A must READ !

Freedom Just beyond the tips of my fingers. Hope. Love. A future. Ripped away with one seemingly unconscionable act of random violence. But what is random, anyway? Loved this beginning. I am certainly looking forward to more episodes. Buy the book.

Not my cup of read. The words in a row were readable, but I just couldn't get into it. Not going to read the next one. And the dems stole the election! There will be consequences! Dustin Stevens is one of my favorite thriller writers. That being said, it is easy to understand why he wrote this book under a different name - it is awful. It is so bad in fact, that I find it hard to believe that it ws written by the same person who wrote the Reed and Billie series. Don't waste your time.
