    The series is simple. Sort of adult Nancy Drew. The people are lovely and I have a sense of loving Botswana, although I hardly knew it existed before reading this series. I like the audiobook better than the print. The Reader for the audio series adds so much to the story. Her lilting sound, hearing the beauty of how she pronounces the native words (containing sounds I couldn't make if I tried really really hard - they sound like a native speaker to me).     I return now to review a small selection of gems by this very, very prolific author. Each story is like one would do when picking apples: first picked are the mostly life-changing fruit which comprise the storyline. Then one would select fruit from the upper branches to add wit depth. And finally reaching for those 3 or 4 sun-shined beauties as the singer's that bring the story to a satisfying and sometimes raucous close!
