The day of reckoning has come. Tane just wanted to be left alone. He wanted to live in peace on a remote planet somewhere on the outskirts of the galaxy. But his enemies wouldn't stop bothering him. Now he's kicking ass and taking names, hell-bent on completing a destiny he never asked for, and he doesn't care who stands in his way. He has his sights set on the dweller The day of reckoning has come. Tane just wanted to be left alone. He wanted to live in peace on a remote planet somewhere on the outskirts of the galaxy. He has his sights set on the dwellers next. He will conquer them at any price, even if it means giving up everything he ever stood for. If he survives, he'll face his biggest challenge yet. He will either save the universe, or destroy it. At this point, the latter seems the most probable.

As usual Isaac has continued the saga of Tane trying to save the universe. In this book he must destroy the Z'Antamaraan before they destroy the universe but he needs help from the dwellers. First he must rescue his parents then he can proceed to bigger things. He brings back his mentor Tibeius to help fight the Z'Amtamaraan. Still a lot of action and a reader will not be disaaapointed in reading this book. As usual Isaac has continued the saga of Tane trying to save the universe. Good series for a summer read. Enjoyed the entire series. Never was a gamer, did play with an original Atari though. Always enjoyed reading more. But I guess that this is a total immersion into a gamer universe. I found it interesting, but enjoyed reading it more. Liked the angst that was part of the protagonist. I would definitely recommend it to any gamers. Just a bit too much deus ex machina for me.

So sad to see Tane and the crew go... for now? Loved this whole series. Although it often felt rushed due to Mr Hooke’s desire to stay with 4 books in the series, the universe(s) he created are amazing and I would love to see another story or 20 in the life of Tane and others. Does he hold the peace and/or find his own? Does he continue to grow into a true leader of men (and aliens)? Please Issac give us more.

Read the four books I just completed reading the four books series in just over a week. The story line keeps you hooked and waiting to see what happens next. Don’t miss out on this series. Looking forward to more. This is the third or forth series I have read by Isaac and enjoyed all of them.

Excellent Series This book series is riveting non stop action . Very well written and thought out to the end. I would like to have seen the ending extended further, it left me feeling that there should be another book in the series to give closure on “all” the characters. All in all I would highly recommend this series for anyone that enjoys this genre.

I’ve read so many Isaac Hooke books that I’ve lost track, but everything that made you love his writing before is present in Doom Wielder (Star Warrior Book 4). Typical Isaac Hooke fare, more readable then the first books in the quadrilogy.

Needs work This would be great if it was a game manual. Leveling up does not make a good novel. Lacks character development and plot. I read it all and hoped but it left me flat.

The conclusion. Good series but I felt like books 1 and 2 were really thought out and well planned while 3 and 4 were rushed.

Fun series. I really enjoyed the series. It was a fun series. The addition of other universes and the essence was a nice new twist on space stories. Some parts were a little to easy and quick and could have spent more time. I think this could really be an eight book series of more time was spent at critical places but really that’s a wish for more and not a knock on the series. Overall nicely done.
