Detective Ethan Quinn has questions. The Arlington Slasher case is closed, the UNSUB no longer a threat—but Quinn can’t quiet the suspicion he harbors toward his partner and the young, attractive ME. Not only does he loathe his uncertainty, he’s torn between doing his job and protecting his team. Burying himself in cases no longer works. He’s restless. On edge. And tired Detective Ethan Quinn has questions. Not only does he loathe his uncertainty, he’s torn between doing his job and protecting his team. Burying himself in cases no longer works. He’s restless. On edge. And tired of fighting his compulsions. Quinn has always viewed the law in black and white. Only now his world is swirling with a murky gray that threatens to devour him. When lead medical examiner Avery Johnson careens toward a dangerous path, she pulls the unwitting detective into a dark web of deception and lust, triggered by a spree of recent killings. Is this new player linked to the Bathory murders, or is it another copycat? Time almost took Avery from him once before. As the clock ticks, Quinn will stop at nothing to protect her, refusing to let Avery become a victim again. Against his uncompromising logic, Quinn can’t deny his feelings. Avery forces him to acknowledge his darker desires, tempting his control—which weakens with every second he spends with the feisty ME as they hunt down the perpetrator threatening to tear them apart.

With Ties That Bind #1: 5 stars I'm so glad these characters (Avery & Quinn) are continuing this series. I'm loving the suspense so far! Can't wait to see what happens next! With Ties That Bind #2: 5 stars Wow, can you imagine if the drug Trisha Wolfe created in this book was real?! It's seriously messed up on how realistic it could be. I'm loving how this story is unfolding. I can't wait till the conclusion. With Ties That Bind #3: 4 stars I really did like this 2nd trilogy, maybe I liked the first 3 m With Ties That Bind #1: 5 stars I'm so glad these characters (Avery & Quinn) are continuing this series. Loved from beginning to end. This series is an extremely addictive read. The plot is very well written and flows from book to book without a lot of overlap. The characters are well developed and I found myself connecting with them on a personal level very early on. I have already read the Born, Darkly duet and found it to be very engaging. It too sucked me in and held me captive from beginning to end. Trisha Wolfe has, without a doubt, earned her spot on the list of my favorite authors! Do yourse Loved from beginning to end. Terrific dark serial killers romance What an outstanding read! I was captured from the beginning of the story. You must read the with visions of red series first. Avery, who is prominent in the first series is recovering from an ordeal and makes a choice with Sadie that puts her life on a very dangerous trajectory. Ethan Quinn, Sadie's partner, feels guilty he couldn't keep Avery safe. This brings them together, and feelings emerge. But everyone is in danger when women are killed and the gang has Terrific dark serial killers romance What an outstanding read! I was captured from the beginning of the story.
