Really good first issue to the Batman Eternal arc. Really looking forward to this one and seeing where it takes the Batfamily.

I think all Robins should be renamed petulant child. The amount of tantrums in this book is escalating and I’m starting to fear we may have another CW in the making.

Oh my gosh. Tim angst. If I were reading these stories at the start of my tumble into Batman fandom, I'd probably be throwing down all the stars and rolling around on top of the issue until the pages broke loose of the staples and I had every panel memorised. This was great. I think now I'd judge it a bit harder so the angst gets lots of points and the drama is wonderful, but the art and the pacing and a bit of the stretching to make the plot fit (which is less neat and makes the realism a tad h Oh my gosh. I know that some readers might scoff at an issue of Detective Comics with no real action scene. Everything in this issue is character-building or conflict. Don't let that fool you. The rare instances of in-panel action is nothing compared to the heart-wrenching scene with Cassandra. Dear lord, that was a gut-punch. Other developments were just as necessary. We need to be reminded of where everyone's mind is set right now. I think it's going to be a key to the next big arc. But that Cassandra scene. A great start to the current arc. It is a comic with action, heart, and intrigue. Very well done!

This issue is very very good and it's very good start for the new story. This issue is very very good and it's very good start for the new story.
Marisa Carpico –
Not the most elegant start to this arc and the art is a huge step down, but I like that the events of the previous issue are having a huge impact. Excited to see where this all goes.
