I was reading this book in every place that I could! I didn't have the time to finish the book in one sitting, but I was trying to read a couple of chapters every time I took a break. I loved Sky and Sawyer's story and I wanted them to keep me company wherever they could. To be honest, though, I didn't like some two parts of the story. The first thing is Sky's reaction to Sawyer's boxing and the kind of ultimatum she gave him felt irrational and a little too dram heavy for me. The first thing is Sky's reaction to Sawyer's boxing and the kind of ultimatum she gave him felt irrational and a little too dram heavy for me. Sawyer put himself in danger because he wanted to provide his father with the care he needed. That was noble and I have to admit a little dangerous, but I had faith in him. The second thing I didn't like was the whole P-Town poet. First of all, I couldn't believe that so many people wanted to get the words of an unknown person on their body. Sky made it seem like people were getting them all the time which made the whole situation unbelievable. Second, I didn't understand why Sky got mad at Sawyer for not saying that he is the P-Town poet when she invented that nickname and never explained to him the whole situation. Half of this book is Sky overacting and this is the reason I am giving this book a 4-star rating instead of my usual 5. The rest of the book was good, but the heroine had some bad moments that tainted the story. The Seaside gang is one of my favorites, so I enjoyed the book and I can't wait for the next one.

When fate places her in the path of a stranger with a gift for music that calls to her heart, she's close to fulfilling all her dreams. Or is she? What happens when your soulmate turns out to be all wrong in your head, but perfect for your heart? Nights at Seaside tackles many themes. Friendship, family, sobriety and the healing power of love. Informative, realistic and emotional. The calling card of any good romance. Audiobook Review: Nights at Seaside is a work of art. Addison Cole has created a beautiful watercolor that spans multiple canvases. Her delivery is like the sweetest melody. Not easily forgotten. Skye and Sawyer blend artistry and poetry to create an ever changing masterpiece. A metamorphosis of heartbreaking moments, life changing revelations and an enduring love. Melissa Moran takes this emotive coming of age journey and runs with it. Her's is a voice of hope that shines a light when times are at their most heart-aching. John Michael Montgomery said it best: "Life's a dance. We learn as we go!" It took a bit of practice, but Skye and Sawyer finally got it right.

Addison Cole’s Nights at Seaside is a deeply moving novel. Tattoo artist Sky Lacroux and poet Sawyer Bass are featured in this sexy, contemporary stand-alone read. The characters appealed to me and their journey touched my heart! The author’s expressive writing style shines in Nights at Seaside. I could feel the connection between Sawyer and the audience at the Governor Bradford Inn as he began to sing on open mic night. The author’s expressive writing style shines in Nights at Seaside. I could feel the connection between Sawyer and the audience at the Governor Bradford Inn as he began to sing on open mic night. I sensed that the intensity of Sawyer’s persona and the words in his ballad drew Sky to him like a moth to a flame. I enjoyed that the author focused on words throughout the novel. The importance of words and phrases are significant to Sky. As a tattoo artist she inks meaningful words and phrases on her customers. Sky collects scraps of paper with phrases from the mysterious P-Town poet and she is curious to discover the identity of the P-Town poet as she believes they are kindred souls. Sawyer is a complex character who cares deeply and passionately for those he loves. He is focused on helping his parents through a financial and medical situation. His writing, singing and the phrases that are tattooed on his back are an outlet for him to express himself creatively. Addison Cole’s words flow like poetry in this novel. Sky and Sawyer are the perfect description for the word soulmates. They understand each other and their love story is very romantic. The author doesn’t waiver in her portrayal of Sky and her feelings towards fighting – it goes against her beliefs. Sky’s struggle with fighting, bloodshed and Sawyer’s desire to provide for his family is the crux of the drama in the novel. Does Sky believe in Sawyer enough to trust in their love? Choices are important to each of the characters in this novel. Sky, Sawyer and Sawyer’s parents have difficult choices to make throughout the story. The conclusion to Nights at Seaside was perfectly written—both characters stayed true to their beliefs—have some Kleenex on hand. Loved the epilogue and I agree with Sawyer’s grandmother’s advice! This is my favorite book in Addison Cole’s sweet version of the Seaside series and I highly recommend it. The author’s words perfectly portray the unique, endearing characters and their hard-fought personal and professional struggles. Nights at Seaside is on my keeper shelf.

I love reading the Seaside books. The characters always bring a smile to my face with their humor, wit, love, and loyalty. They are a giant family. You can never go wrong with reading a Seaside story. I enjoy Sky's character. She's very caring, creative, and down to earth. She's the type of person I'd love to hang out with. Her interactions with the Seaside Sisters are my favorite. Sawyer seems too good to be true. His poetic words and kind heart make him the perfect book boyfriend. I really enjoy the poetic lines from him throughout this book. I did want to shake some sense into him a few times when he thought being a boxer was who he only could be. With Sky and Sawyer's relationship, it seemed like Sky questions it more than I had expected her to. She seems unsure it was okay or normal for her to be having such strong feelings towards Sawyer so quickly. The strong feelings so quickly make perfect sense for how Sky's and Sawyer's personalities are. They are very alike and seem to share similar values and interest, minus the Sawyer's career in boxing and Sky's distaste for violence. I enjoyed reading them trying to work through their doubts and differences. Melissa Foster becoming Addison Cole and writing sweet books with just a touch of heat might have been the best business decision of the decade. I love Melissa's writing and am even more in love with Addison's. Not all my friends enjoy a book that is a bit more explicit so Addison's adaptations are just what I need to recommend to these people. While this is book six in a series - at least if I count correctly, it can be read as a standalone. I would, though, recommend you read them all. I look forward to each new book because I want to get back to my friends and see what they have been up to. I've been waiting for Sky's story. My first thought is they just keep getting better. But actually that sounds like each installment is better than the last. I haven't read them all. And, I have read them out of order but there isn't a real need to read in order. Each one I've read is just better it seems than the last. Perhaps because we get to 'know' a different one of the characters better. Nights at Seaside was a great read. The characters are real. Sky is sweet. Sky is awesome - she has a spirit about her that is free and giving. As a tattoo artist, I feel like she's probably judged by the cover, rather than what is more than skin deep. Another great book by Addison Cole. I just love Sky and Sawyer. These two fit well together and compliment each other nicely. This is a great love story that flows really well. I was sad when the book ended because I was still wanting more of Sky and Sawyer. There was the perfect mix of sweet and heat. The whole seaside series gives you laughter and tears and lots in between.

Sky and the girls take a night off and go to an open mic night at a local restaurant/bar. Then her wish comes true as she sees Sawyer Bass playing guitar that night who is also a professional boxer. They don't actually meet until he happens to walk into her tattoo shop the next day. They make plans for that night and their relationship sky rockets from there. Will Sky be able to handle him fighting in the ring just one more time? Or will Pete decide it's not worth it and find another way to make the money? I read and reviewed this book through Beck Valley Book Tours. I wasn't asked to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any way for this review.

If you know my reading style by now, you'll know this is one of my favorite genres to read. Nights at Seaside introduces a new guy in town named Sawyer Bass that may succeed in winning more than just boxing matches. He has the potential to win the heart of the eccentric, kind-hearted, and free-spirited Sky. The two have an interesting story and it's one you'll want to experience for yourself. This book isn't just about a summer romance, it's so much more. The lives of these individuals include truly difficult situations involving those that are closest to them. It's heartbreaking to watch people go through tough times but it's inspiring to see them work through things and manage to find the positive side of life. One of my favorite aspects of the novel was the focus on music, words, and poetry. As a blogger and avid reader this spoke directly to me and I loved the way Sky's customers inked beautiful words into their skin to savor and hold onto for the rest of their lives. Words have the capacity to sooth, inspire, and heal and this novel is a wonderful example of how words play a role in one's life.

Another sweet and emotional audiobook by one of my favourite authors. Their love is so beautifully portrayed, it makes you realise that true love can sometimes help you through some of the most difficult times in your life. Another brilliant audiobook by an amazing author.

Nights at Seaside is the sixth book in The Sweet with Heat:Seaside Summers series by Addison Cole, the alter ego of the spicy NY Times bestselling author Melissa Foster. Although it is the sixth in the series, it is also a standalone book. You will meet characters from the other books, and will be able to see the relationships that have been fostered. I recommend reading them all, you won’t be sorry. Sky LaCroux is a free spirited, poetry loving, hippyish, free flowing artist. She is awaiting the grand opening of her dream of the moment, Inky Skies, a tattoo shop in the artsy community of Provincetown, Massachusetts. Sawyer(Songbird) Bass is a tortured, sexy, smoking hot, guitar playing boxer. During open mike night at a local pub as she reads her book of poems, by an obscure local poet C.J Moon, a sexy smoking hot guitar player steps up to the mike , sits atop the small barstool and “a moment later, a deep, impassioned voice filled the room”. Sky stops reading and looks up as he sits on the barstool with his eyes closed , strumming and singing with a seductive intensity that brings shivers throughout the room. Sky, who is a lover of all words poetic and lyrical, is mesmerized as the lyrics settle into her bones and draw her deeper with the ever softening ending of the song. The last note of the song ends and the meaning weighs heavy on Sawyers heart and mind. He opens his eyes to the appreciative long applause from the audience. His mind is on his current life problems, yet his eyes are drawn to the exotic olive skinned woman with the C.J. Moon book of poetry. Words being as important to him as boxing, he immediately thinks,”languid, peaceful, wounded .” The more he looks at her “enchanting”comes to the forefront. This evening he came to let his thoughts and feeling release and flow. And flow they did as words and thoughts of this beautiful , enchanting woman’s fictional story came to life on a stack of napkins at the bar. Sky and Sawyer finally meet when he wanders into her tattoo shop the next day looking to add words to the myriad of lyrics on his torso. Sky had been thinking all day abut the singer from last night and what story he was singing away on stage. She was also thinking of the basket of poetic words that her customers had been bringing in lately, scraps of paper with beautiful words and prose. She wondered about this mysterious person that she had named the P-townPoet, and why he kept leaving these passages all over. She finishes with a customer and thinks about the words, and about her grand opening of the shop in a few weeks. She hears,” Excuse me?” , and the man that haunted her dreams and thoughts is standing in her shop asking for a tattoo. The attraction to each other is instantaneous, and so begins the relationship. As you read you feel that this relationship progresses naturally and is not rushed. But the question is , can they get past his career choice and his need for one more bout? What will come of them/him if he proceeds with it? Addison tells this story with so much emotion and heart, you can see the scenes in your mind, and feel the emotions of both characters. Sky and Sawyer come together with so much angst and heart tugging emotions of what is going on in their lives with their fathers, and the angst of her calm sunshine and rainbows life versus his hitting people for a living lifestyle. The more you read the more you are convinced that these two belong together, and you are really pulling for their happy ever after.

Everything is going good for Sky Lacroux. She's just about ready to open her own tattoo shop in Provincetown, MA. While the renovations are being completed, she's living in Seaside with the rest of her friends. There's very little missing from Sky's life. Well, that is, except for love. All that's about to change when she hears Sawyer Bass sing at an open mic night. His words speak to her soul. When they actually meet when Sawyer shows up at Sky's shop for a tattoo, they hit it off immediately. Everything is going good for Sky Lacroux. Sawyer Bass has to remain focused on winning his next match in order to secure the funding required to care for his father ailing father. He doesn't have time for distractions. But when he meets Sky he knows that what they have is more than a distraction. That is, if he can get her to see past the violence of his job. As always, Melissa Moran does a wonderful job with the narration. Especially here where we've begin moving past the original main characters of the series and into a new string of characters all ready for their own stories. Readers (or listeners) of the series will know Sky as a secondary character in the last few books, and I think we've gotten a pretty good idea of her character already. That's why, for me, Sawyer really was the highlight. I loved the dual sides of Sawyer. The tough fighter, and the soulful singer. Although the way Melissa Foster presents each facet of himself, you see that they are one and the same. You can be both tough and sensitive at the same time. It's not an either or situation. The predicament that Sawyer finds himself in - that of fighting for his father's health, yet doing so causes Sawyer to overlook his own health - is another duality that Melissa Foster deftly deals with. As much as I enjoyed revisiting all the previous main characters and getting updates, I enjoy seeing the potential new characters whose stories we'll, hopefully, get in the future. I know Sky's brothers for sure are in the mix, as well as Sky's best guy friend Blue. No matter how big the cast grows I like that it's always grounded in Seaside (at least for now). I did feel like Sawyer and Sky's story moved readers a little past Seaside, but I feel like we're never too far away.

She is unlike any woman he has ever met. That moment is magical, and the two fall pretty quickly for each other. Something bigger than themselves has guided these two to each other. Sky is still mourning the loss of her mother, and Sawyer has begun to fill that void. She has an amazing group of family and friends, yet she is lonely. As they have found their soulmates, Sky has found herself wanting the same love they have found, and she thinks Sawyer could give her that. However, Sawyer is dealing with his father’s deteriorating health. He suffers from Parkinson’s Disease, and Sawyer needs income to pay for his continuing care. He is a boxer, and he does very well. But, he runs the risk of sacrificing his own health as he has had several concussions. He has been advised by his doctor to quit fighting, but he’s caught in a hard place. He is fighting for his family but risks losing them and now Sky. This is the first book I have read by Addison Cole, and I am hooked. They really are sweet with just the right amount of heat. I loved her writing style…it’s almost poetic…much like Sawyer’s words. Both characters were incredibly well-developed and realistic. Cole did a wonderful job of tapping into both Sky and Sawyer’s emotions. That became abundantly clear when she first introduced Sawyer singing at open mic night. “People walked by outside, oblivious to the storm brewing inside himself, like everyone else in this place.” That one passage gave me such insight to his character. Sky seems to be his calm in the storm. She’s loving, loyal, and supportive. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for something sweet but yet with a little heat. I am looking forward to reading more from Addison Cole. ***Read and Reviewed for Devilishly Delicious Book Reviews***

Oh, my gosh. I love Melissa Moran as a narrator. She makes magic with her voice. I am able to feel the emotions, understand the feelings, and lose myself in her words. Melissa Foster is the perfect writer with the perfect narrator. This is the second time with Sawyer and Sky. I read the written version of the book first and then listened to it the second time. Sweet with Heat is the perfect description for the Addison Cole Seaside Summers series. Within each book is an adorable couple that have so much heat before them yet she manages to keep their private lives hot and clean. There are hints at their private moments but it is kept private. Minimal blushing happens while reading Addison Cole. In Nights at Seaside we get to know Sky and Sawyer. Sky is a character that has been seen in the other books in the series but she has always been a secondary character. This is her time to shine, her time to find love, and her time to tell her story. Sky and Sawyer see each other at a bar and the sparks fly immediately. There is an attraction that no one can deny yet they don’t talk that night. By chance Sawyer comes into Sky’s new tattoo parlor and fate cannot be denied. I love how quick they come together, how fast their relationship grows, and how evident their love for each is. Sometimes a relationship goes too fast but this relationship had to move fast. These two were so meant to be together that a slow relationship growth was out of the question. The Seaside Girls made their position on the relationship known. They accepted Sawyer into their family without question. There was no doubt that Sawyer would be part of their family after the first bonfire on the beach. The Seaside guys were just as welcoming. Right away Sawyer was taken into their confidence and brought into their lives. I love the scene by the pool with the guys and girls and their jinx’s towards Theresa. Everything in this story is wonderful. The characters, the setting, and the story is exactly what I look forward to when I pick up an Addison Cole book.

Sky is a free spirit open to whatever comes her way. While out one evening with her friends for open mic night at a nearby club, Sky is drawn to the soulful voice of a lone singer on stage. The soulful singer is Sawyer Bass, a man with words flowing from his heart and who wears them as emblems on his back in the form of tattoos. Sawyer is a professional boxer training for a big boxing match. It is in Sky's shop that they meet for the first time, when he comes in to have a tattoo inked onto his back. There is an immediate and undeniable connection between Sky and Sawyer. She sees that in Sawyer lies the heart of a romantic and that draws her undeniably closer to him. However, when it comes to Sawyer's profession as a boxer, Sky has trouble rectifying it in her mind. Therein lies the emotional angst that tugged at my heart. I hurt for both Sky and Sawyer as they tried to work through this major hurdle. Sawyer is facing the biggest boxing competition of his career, and he decided it will be his final one. However, he isn't fighting for the glory or the platitudes a win brings, but for the monetary prize that will help his family. By winning, Sawyer will be able to provide his father, who is ill with Parkinson's Disease, the in-home care he needs. However, what Sawyer is holding back from everyone is that by taking on this final boxing match he is putting his own well-being on the line. It is Sawyer's determination to provide for his dad and his love for him that keeps Sawyer training and preparing for the big fight. I truly loved Sky and Sawyer, their immediate connection was magical. Seeing them fall for one another was like watching the stars and the moon align. I truly felt that this is one of Addison's best! I received a complimentary copy for an honest review.

The only thing missing from her amazing life is love. Sawyer Bass is a professional boxer, who plays his guitar at the local bar for an escape from his painful reality of his father's deteriorating health, not to mention his own health warning. But things take a sudden turn for the better when he spots a beautiful woman, who becomes the focus of his next song. And when Sawyer walks into Sky's tattoo shop, they realize their chemistry is something special, but boxing goes against everything Sky believes in. As they get closer, will it be the thing that tears them apart? Each book in this series, I say it's my favorite, because it was, so guess what? Nights at Seaside is now my favorite in my series! Sky & Sawyer were awesome together, and I couldn't get enough of them! Their sparks lit up the sky when they were in the same room together, and I cheered them on from the very beginning. And, of course, the very colorful cast of secondaries were all present & accounted for to keep me laughing hard! This is the place I want to go on vacation to so badly because it would be so much fun! Of course with Sawyer's life playing havoc, the side of angst was emotional to keep my emotions on my sleeve as well. Addison Cole, alter ego of the brilliant Melissa Foster has done it again, and I love both sides, the sweet & sassy! I will NEVER EVER get enough of either side so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
