This is the second book in a row by JLA that by the end of it I was feeling enraged (but for very different reasons). As I said before the first 250 pages or so of this book were decent. I was intrigued by everything. But somewhere around 300 pages in I found myself thinking “Jesus this is long” and there was still 100 pages to go. Things that should have been resolved early on weren’t. Plot lines introduced were not followed up on. This book was a bit of a jumbled mess. I didn’t really care for either of the main characters, they weren’t developed well at all and spent most of the book insulting each other (and not in a hot sexy, I hate you I love you, way). I’m not exaggerating when I say I preorder the shit out of anything JLA puts out. I get so excited for her releases because her books have a genuinely special place in my heart. Hell I have 2-3 bookshelves that house all of her books. But something seems to have gone wrong and I am getting really worried that the JLA writer I know and love is gone… I think it’s safe to say the de Vincent series isn’t for me. I hope books from this author are better in the future. Considering I’ve loved 30+ books from JLA and only disliked a handful, I will always be giving this woman a chance on whatever she puts out. 4.5 stars. It’s an age since I’ve read a JLA, and I’ll admit I haven’t read the previous books in this series, but when I saw the blurb for Moonlight Scandals, I got a bit click-happy as it was just too tempting. And with her sharp mind and snarky nature she quickly proves herself a class act taking no crap from anyone, living or otherwise, particularly Devlin de Vincent. He was gorgeous and he was complicated and he was...a little broken.” I love a man with an air of the mysterious and Dev is at the top end of the scale; cold, guarded, straight to the point and suspicious of everything and everyone. And whilst many are deterred by the de Vincent name due to rumours and their somewhat morbid family history, Rosie isn’t at all daunted, and together she and Dev light up the pages as they bicker, disagree and clash, all adding to the delicious sexual tension gathering momentum with each page. You have me. You have all of me.” To pick up the final (?) book in an established series which has clearly had an ongoing storyline running through it, yet not once having that feeling of missing something isn’t something easily achieved, but Armentrout has done just that. Am I disappointed I haven’t read from the start? A little, but there’s no hardship in the fact I now get to rewind and properly acquaint myself with Lucien and Gabriel de Vincent and I certainly won’t leave it as long before I read JLA again. If you’re in the market for an addictive romantic read then this is without a doubt one to check out. Copy received courtesy of Avon via Edelweiss for an honest and unbiased opinion.

“The devil is coming.” With its gothic feel and enticing story-line, Moonlight Scandals was a stunning conclusion to the de Vincent series. This story was filled with characters I loved, some impressive twists and turns and it all made this book impossible to put down. This story was filled with characters I loved, some impressive twists and turns and it all made this book impossible to put down. If you're not familiar with this series, I recommend starting back at the beginning with Moonlight Sins. Each book weaves itself into the next and it's an intoxicating ride getting to know each of the de Vincent brothers. You don't want to miss a single minute of it! “Did you seriously just tell me I needed to get laid?” Rosie rolled her eyes. “Did you seriously just prove what I said?” A moment passed. “Are you volunteering?” Devlin de Vincent, aka the Devil, intrigued me back in that first book. And throughout this series he has remained the biggest mystery ever. He always came across as closed off and cold. But from the moment he interacted with Rosie, in that last book, he came to life. Rosie was best friend's with Devlin's brother's girlfriend. So they were bound to run into each other, and each and every time they did I couldn't hold back the laughter or the sighing. Devlin and Rosie were hilarious, swoon worthy and I was always begging for more. What had she called him? Ah, yes. A dickhead. His shoulders lifted in a silent chuckle as he reached for his glass of bourbon. If you love stories that are hate to love with fabulous banter, you're going to love this book. Devlin was definitely the king of assholes and Rosie had no problem putting him in his place. She would go toe to toe with him and even tell him when he was wrong. So of course Rosie quickly earned my respect. She was brave, fierce, loved her family, was a good friend and wasn't scared of the infamous Devlin de Vincent. Yet each time they were together you could feel how much they physically wanted the other. And when they finally did kiss or touch, it was like fireworks exploded. “You want to kiss me?”she repeated, feeling foolish for even asking that question and for the flutter that picked up in her stomach. That small grin appeared again. “I do.”He paused. “Very badly.” I've been so curious to know more about Devlin. Especially since he was the most secretive of the de Vincent's, even his brother's didn't know his deepest and darkest secrets. So when Devlin started to let Rosie see a tiny bit of who he was, oh he stole my heart even more. But there was bumps because Devlin didn't trust easily. He would act hot and cold towards Rosie, so that led to him making mistakes. But the man knew how to ask for forgiveness and it was not only heartwarming but sexy as hell. And when you add in how Devlin fiercely protected those he cared for, I was more than obsessed with him. She leaned in, kissing the center of his chest, through his shirt, and hell if that didn’t cause this weird pressure to clamp down on him. It was unexpected. Potent. Confusing as fuck. Moonlight Scandals had other moments in it that made me pause. It was said that the de Vicents were cursed and that their land was haunted. There were moments in the prior books that also made me pause, so I should have known better than read this book in the dark lol. Especially since Rosie was part of a paranormal exploration team and one of her good friends was a psychic medium. When you tie that in with the bumps in the night and the sights of something that couldn't possibly be there, well there was an eeriness in the air that you could feel. Just by that second chapter I had chills racing down my arms and I even screamed out loud. He dipped his head as his hand slipped down her stomach, resting just below her navel. “You make me want . . . so much, Rosie. You have no idea.” She lifted her head, brushing her lips against his. “Show me.” This book was so much fun! There was a ton of secrets and everything gets spilled. And while I guessed a few of the plots twists and was shouting out loud "I knew it!" there was one I didn't even see coming. Now I'm desperately begging, please let there be one more book. Please, please, please! But don't worry, there was an epilogue at the back of this book that was everything dreams were made of. Not only do we get a peek into Devlin and Rosie's future, but also a look into Julia, Lucien, Gabe and Nikki's futures and it was beautiful. So yes, I definitely recommend this book and series to everyone who loves romance. *I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book, provided by the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.* Other Quotes I Loved.... Rosie allowed herself to be dickmatized— you know, when you were either hypnotized by how attractive someone was or you were hypnotized by their dick, which therefore allowed you to look past unsavory traits about the person. That was what she was doing right then. A douchebag was a douchebag, even if there were moments of nondouchery. “You know ,” she said, letting her head rest against the seat as she watched him. “You’re allowed to laugh and smile.” His gaze shot to hers. “I know.” “Do you?” His mouth moved over hers, and she could taste his desire in his kiss, feel it when his tongue moved across her teeth and then her tongue, and in the way his hips rolled into her as the hand that had been at her jaw slid down. I really enjoyed the other two books in this series, but Moonlight Scandals by far is my favorite. This series has been so much fun, and these men are just crazy and awesome! Oh, and my favorite part to this one was that Rosie likes to do paranormal ghost hunting stuff. We learn about her backstory and it's a very sad one but she doesn't let it destroy her. There are some twist and turns that I didn't guess, and there was one where I was like how is that possible? And may have been a tad over the top, but that's okay. I also feel like I still need answers!! I'll say it again, I hate ab covers, but that didn't keep me away from this fun and addicting story! Seriously, I'll read anything Armentrout writes!

Such a fabulous story and a great way to end the series. 4.5 stars ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This book had to be the hardest to write for the author. Instead of the story being very intense in that aspect, it actually became very light with loads of interest. Not only did she not deal with his bullshit she was also a ghost hunter. Definitely a big twist and brought a lot of fun and uniqueness to the story. The author also delivers suspense, drama and loads of unexpected paths. Moonlight Scandals is a beautiful combination of humor, intense situations, and romance. The only thing missing for me is I would’ve love to see more heated and passionate scenes in this book. Why? Because I know Devlin is super hot and loaded with that underlying voracious heat that just begs for hot sex. But regardless, I absolutely loved his strong character and super protective qualities. A beautiful depiction of a guy we would love too! *copy received for review consideration full review - https://amidlifewife.com/moonlight-sc...

It’s the one we had a feeling would be the juicy cherry on the top and it truly was. It was compelling, enticing, passionate, cunning and revealing. We have been intrigued by the dark and wicked Devlin since the beginning and we’ve been desperate for his book. So much so. We needed beneath his enigmatic façade. He was the ultimate mystery and we had so many questions we needed answers to and believe us, we got those answers and more, and fell utterly and hopelessly in love with Devlin de Vincent. “People hound my family, Rosie. They have for years. People try to use us. People try to make money and their careers off our tragedies. I cannot be too careful. None of us can.” Jennifer L. Armentrout wrote a fabulous trilogy -which is now complete and should without question- be sitting on everyone’s bookshelves or e-readers, to be devoured. We highly recommend reading this trilogy in order so as to feel the intense emotions and behaviours that lead to this page turning twisty crescendo. ‘The man was stunning, yet there was something cold about him, almost detached and a bit cruel about how he was pieced together. To anyone else, that might’ve dampened his attractiveness, but to Rosie? That only made him all the more beautiful.’ Arrogance runs deep within the veins of Devlin de Vincent. Dark and emotionless he’s a powerful and imposing man with a wicked dry sense of humour. Always there, always watching but never participating. Who is this man and what does he know. The aura around him is frightening yet addictive. As the layers are unravelled and we begin to learn of everything that makes this man whole we fell into the black abyss. We fell at his feet. Not without wanting to pull him down a peg or two on the way though. He did make us laugh at his distaste for beaded curtains and ceiling stars. Ultimately he’s a man made up of secrets and lies, the ultimate deceiver of the truth which hides a broken man conditioned to protect his brothers at all costs. A man who is in dire need of love and understanding and to be relieved of the burdens from his past. A man who deserves to be saved from the dark and brought into the light. ‘Even his brothers were afraid of him. They had no reason to be, but he understood why. After all, he was willing to go there to protect his brothers, do the unthinkable. But they didn’t know what he knew, and it would stay that way. He was their shield and that would never change.’ Fate moves in mysterious ways and when Rosie Herpin is placed in his path, through strange circumstances, the light that has been hidden from his entire being begins to break through the layers of darkness. Rosie is a quirky ghost hunter with a fierce heart and a penchant for the paranormal. With three degrees under her belt and a part time job in her parents’ bakery she’s a whirlwind of intrigue and the exact opposite to anything Dev is used to. She’s his perfect match in every way and does not go gently into the darkness…she sets it alight! ‘There was an innate goodness inside of Devlin. It was just buried under a lot…a lot of darkness.’ The connection between Dev and Rosie is on fire as neither see eye to eye, yet cannot look away. The sparring is intense and at times highly amusing. We felt the passion and the push-pull was delicious and spot on. The heat is intense and the romance at times like smooth chocolate melting on your tongue. As for the suspense and the twists and turns in the story, well it’ll make you hear every bump in the night and the hairs stand up on your skin. ‘That part of him that had to…do things to ensure the safety of his family didn’t exist when he was with her, but strangely, he wanted her to see that part of him too.’ Moonlight Scandals had us riveted and glued to our Kindles, it had everything we love in our dark romance and was just the most perfect ending to an almost malevolent trilogy set in New Orleans. We loved the vibrancy of the eerie, the heated romance, and the ongoing mystery of a haunted house set in silence, with a family cursed and reviled for the death and deception surrounding them. “You make me want…so much, Rosie. You have no idea.” Available to purchase below Amazon US Amazon UK Come visit and follow us at: ✲ TotallyBookedBlog ✲ TBB on Facebook ✲ TBB on Instagram ✲ TBB on Twitter ✲ TBB on Pinterest

I admit that Dev didn't act right towards Rosie at the beginning of the book and I wanted to punch him very much, but knowing the danger and the enemies that he has, I forgave him. Just a little. Jennifer Armentrout delivers one hell of an amazing conclusion to this series, though I KOW that she MUST write one MORE book here!

Rosie has a great personality and the banter between she and Dev is beyond funny. After a long chase, I know now that my favorite De Vincent is Devlin. Even if it took me a while and even if I said previously that I have a crush on Gave, Devlin is the most complex character and discovering him is as exciting as reading this book and plot. Even if it took me a while and even if I said previously that I have a crush on Gave, Devlin is the most complex character and discovering him is as exciting as reading this book and plot. He is far from perfect, a little broken, but reading about what made him the man he is today tore me apart. It was very emotional and I loved his interaction with Rosie and everything they managed to build. Yes, he is a jerk, but I couldn't help falling for him and loving this other side of him, the sweet and tender one. Rosie was also awesome with her big mouth and personality, the perfect match for this De Vincent. The best book from this series, no doubt about it :)

“Something flickered across his face that looked an awful lot like respect–reluctant respect, but she didn’t give a flying chupacabra’s ass what Devlin de Vincent thought or felt.” “He kissed her as if her wouldn’t allow a single part of her to be left unexplored. The way he kissed her wrecked her.” “His stare was greedy and devouring and she wanted to be devoured. Consumed. Taken.” “Maybe it’s…fate. Some higher force at work here.” Man, oh, man! I can’t believe it’s over! What a crazy, thrilling and exciting ride. Finally, finally, finally we have Devlin’s book and let me tell you, his book was so worth the wait. Now, I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve had a million and one questions ever since I started the De Vincent Series. And just when I think I know what is going on; that I’ve figured out all the clues, my world gets turned upside down. This book had so much mystery, so many twists and turns. I didn’t know what was wrong or what was right. But, I do know I couldn’t put this book down. I was absolutely hooked and couldn’t wait to see just how this story was going to unravel itself. Finally, finally, we get to see inside Devlin’s head, to finally understand him, what makes him tick and his motives. It was everything that I was waiting for. There is so much more and I mean so much more to him than meets the eye. Each one of his actions is fueled by reason that only Devlin knows. Devlin is such a complex character. Only he could make me hate him & want to throw my kindle and yet in the very next breath want to swoon & understand him. And who better than to try to make sense of this complicated man, but Rosie. I absolutely LOVED Rosie! She was tough and completely unafraid of Devlin. She spoke her mind and gave Devlin a run for his money. Together these two were explosive. They had amazing tension and I loved their banter. I loved watching the two of them fight and bicker. I never knew what they were going to say next and they certainly kept me on my toes. But, I loved, loved, loved watching these two together and seeing them try to overcome all the obstacles life threw their way. Overall, I really enjoyed Moonlight Scandals. The scandals and twists were totally delicious and kept my eyes glued to the pages. I enjoyed catching up with the De Vincent family and finally getting to see what makes Devlin tick. For me, this book was a fun puzzle to solve and I enjoyed every moment. From outstanding characters to an exciting plot. To writing that sucks you in and keeps you on your toes. To the magic that only New Orleans can bring. To paranormal research and an unlikely paring. To an unexpected romance that knocks you off your feet and keeps you begging for more. Take all of that, add in some crazy and I mean crazy twists, and you got yourself one satisfying ending to a series that filled you with question after question….. *I was provided an ARC copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review*

”Remember what they say about dancing with the Devil, Rosie.” Her mouth dropped open as she stared at her friend. The devil. Rosie could only think of Devlin. “But what they don´t say is sometimes you need to get burned.” Remember me saying that the jury was still out on which de Vincent brother was my fave? Well, I can state now, with no doubt or fear, that Devlin de Vincent is most certainly my favourite brother. Not that I ever doubted Armentrout to deliver an outstanding wrap-up to a series, but ”Remember what they say about dancing with the Devil, Rosie.” Her mouth dropped open as she stared at her friend. Well, I can state now, with no doubt or fear, that Devlin de Vincent is most certainly my favourite brother. Not that I ever doubted Armentrout to deliver an outstanding wrap-up to a series, but damn, those twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat. The last and final instalment of the de Vincent series was everything one can ask from a suspenseful romance. A relatable, smart and strong heroine with a paranormal investigation obsession and will of iron. A hero with so many secrets and guards up that the only thing you will think of for hundreds of pages is how to take off him all those layers - metaphorical and literally because dang Dev was so hot it should carry a “handle with care” label - to finally unwrap the softest heart. The ghosts. The paranormal vibes. THE CURSE. New Orleans. An amazingly plotted story that has been building up from book one and that now offers all the answers, all the secrets you´ve waiting to be unveiled and the ones that will take you by surprise and leave your jaw hanging. Like seriously. I dropped my kindle at least twice. THE BEST BANTER. Sparks were flying off the pages. The chemistry between Rosie and Dev had the best parts of a from hate to lovers romance and the swoon worthiness characteristic of any Armentrout book. All in all, what else can I say? I am a sucker for anything this woman writes. That’s why she is one of my all time favourite authors. So, if you stand by me when it comes to Armentrout, well what the heck are you waiting for? And if by any chance you are not, and you want to give it a try to a romantic suspense with lots of fire, a haunted family, a dark manor and the perfect paranormal atmosphere… this is YOUR SERIES. *I received an eARC from the publisher via edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.

The final book in the de Vincente series, all of the secrets are coming out, and whoa, this was a wild ride! The story of eldest de Vincente brother, Devlin, brings a lot of series answers as we get to know this fabulously enigmatic character, and I loved this one! Devlin has appeared in the previous books of the series, but he’s always been this serious, closed off, mysterious character. There’s been hints of something more about him, and I freaking loved getting to explore him as he is matched up with the most unlikely of heroines – boho ghost-hunter, Rosie. Rosie is the best friend of Nikki from the previous book, and she’s bubbly and bold, but she’s still grieving over a devastating loss from years ago and while she hasn’t shied away from men, she’s avoided relationships, preferring to concentrate on her passion for all things supernatural. And there’s nothing more haunted in New Orleans than the de Vincente estate, a property surrounded in mystery and an infamous, secretive family rumoured to be under a curse. When Devlin meets Rosie, they clash instantly, but OMG the banter and bickering is absolutely gold! They go at it over anything and everything, and every single encounter is so freaking entertaining! “Are you for real?” She let out a short laugh, looking away. Why did so many good-looking guys have to be such douche canoes? “Man, you are something else.” “That I am.” “That wasn’t a compliment.” “You sure about that?” “Uh, yeah. I am.” “Hmm.” He sounded utterly dismissive. She had to force her hands to unclench. “I think you’re the most uptight person I know.” “You know nothing about me.” “I know enough to know you need a hobby or a pastime. Maybe a different workout regimen to de-stress or you need to get laid. Something to loosen you up a bit.” His lips parted as he stared down at her. He looked affronted. Like if he had pearls, he’d be clutching them. “Did you seriously just tell me I needed to get laid?” Rosie rolled her eyes. “Did you seriously just prove what I said?” A moment passed. “Are you volunteering?” It’s SO much fun, and as Rosie is drawn time and time again into Devlin’s world, the two of them find themselves in each other’s spaces over and over again, and I loved the flirty teasing and arguing. There is intense dislike on both parts, but there’s a strong attraction there too, and there’s a real battle between their constant antagonism and their growing lust, and the sexual tension is absolutely sensational Devlin shifted just the slightest, and the next breath Rosie took lodged in her throat. She felt him against her stomach, thick and hard, and unless he had something weird in the front of his pants, he was totally turned on. So was she. And they were both apparently freaks, because she’d just tried to shove him and he had just threatened her, but here they were, utterly aroused, and there was a really good chance she needed to find a therapist stat. … “Are we going to pretend like you don’t feel me?” he asked, rather calmly. “Yes,” she snapped. “How’s that working out for you?” “Just great.” The moment those words came out of her mouth, she realized how ridiculous they sounded. Devlin’s lips twitched. It’s such a fantastic dynamic as the feisty pixie takes on the arrogant a-hole with brutal honesty, holding nothing back, and their connection becomes something beautifully heartfelt and emotional as they begin to open up to each other and we get to see the complexity of Devlin and come to know this secretive and misunderstood character like never before. Even his brothers were afraid of him. They had no reason to be, but he understood why. After all, he was willing to go there to protect his brothers, do the unthinkable. But they didn’t know what he knew, and it would stay that way. He was their shield and that would never change. It’s a wonderful unveiling of Devlin, and we start to see the softer side of him just as Rosie does, and it’s no wonder she falls for him! The love story is gorgeous! An emotional and heartfelt slow burn that is also seriously sexy. It’s just gorgeous! “You’re a lot of things.” She cupped the back of his head. “And I want you. All of you.” “You have me.” But there are secrets to be revealed, and some absolutely shocking twists and turns as we finally get the answers we’ve been seeking, and it’s suspenseful, exciting and fantastically unexpected. At one point I think I was actually reading with my mouth wide open in surprise as it all unfolded. And of course Lucien and Gabe and their girls are along for the ride and I loved catching up with them. JLA has finished off the series really well. All questions are answered, all loose ends are tied up, and we get a glimpse of each of the couples into the future, which I loved. This is a great read, really imaginative, and I loved it! 4 stars. I don’t even know where to start this review because a lot seems to happen in it. I just know that I had difficulties putting it down. I think my work might have suffered from it… oopsie. Okay, let’s start with Devlin then because he was the third and most mysterious brother of all three. I swear that I never really knew how to feel about this one because he seemed to have no emotions and everything seems to be business for him. Then, we finally get his book and I get to see that like more often than not, there is more than meets the eye. I really enjoyed getting more to his background because it explains a lot about his attitude. Rosie… Rosie… Rosie… God, she is probably one of my favourite characters of this series. I really love her personality and I love how she isn’t scared to tell Devlin what’s actually on her mind. She’s such an interesting character and so funny. When she is first introduced in the second novel, I already liked her friendship with Nikki and I wanted her with Devlin especially after their first meeting; there was something there. The sexual tension between Devlin and Rosie is off the chart. I don’t know if we can call this a slow burn, but I will say that it kept us begging for them to do something about it for a while. They have such different personalities but at the same time, they are connected because of these differences. And along this, a lot of events unfold and you don’t even know where to look; Jennifer made sure to write this book to keep us on our toes. A lot I wasn’t expecting and I loved this book for it because I love when I finish a book and I’m like… Okay, they had me there. This book has everything to keep you hooked from the beginning to the end. Even though it has an end, I wouldn’t mind if more books were added to this series. A lot of things could still be written about this world. Overall, this was another awesome book in the De Vincent series and if you haven’t started it, please do it now because you won’t be disappointed. I was giving an advanced copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

I could see that there was a baggage there and every page I wanted to unravel the mystery that Devlin Vicent was for me. So this was my least favorite of the series and I'm kind of sad about that because I had hoped that Devlin de Vincent would surprise the hell out of me. But alas, he did not. Mostly because I just did not like how he handled his feelings with Rosie. And speaking of Rosie. She kind of drove me nuts. Yes, she was feisty and spirited. But I found her to be hypocritical and judgmental. I felt for her in regards to her past but I never fully connected with her so it made it hard to really become invested in either of these two. I also noticed that Armentrout just went straight for the romance story on this one and only threw in the family mystery as background which made me sad because in the first two I felt these were intertwined seamlessly. But here, the romance felt forced and was off. They were asses to each other and treated each other like crap but all of that ended up being okay because they were both damaged from the past? That only goes so far. Once again I lived for the moments with the brothers. Everything finally came to light here and it was insane. I had figured out the big reveal by the end of the last book but I was sad with how Sabrina was dealt with. (view spoiler)[The fact that she was just killed off camera so to speak and we never got any answers from her. I really wanted the confrontation. (hide spoiler)] Now I just want to know if this is just a trilogy because with that reveal at the end this could continue on and I would totally be here for it.

Filled with plot twists galore and jaw-dropping revelations, Moonlight Scandals is a mic drop ending to the series. Enigmatic Devlin had been a big question mark for me since the start of the trilogy. Aloof, cold, enigmatic… it was impossible to get a read on the guy and I wasn’t even sure he was a good egg. This installment shines a light on the oldest de Vincent brother and we learn what goes on behind those blue-green eyes. Needless to say, there’s a lot more to Devlin de Vincent than meets the eye. Rosie has long been fascinated by talk of the de Vincent curse and when an attack on her friend has her brushing elbows with Devlin, she’s eager to learn all she can. But Devlin stonewalls her at every turn even as their attraction to one another grows. Their relationship runs hot and cold – trading insults one minute and trading steamy hot kisses the next – and the more Rosie is drawn to Devlin, the more she questions the truth behind the secrets and scandals surrounding the de Vincent’s. File this under the heading “it’s not you, it’s me”, but I’ve gotta say I wasn’t the biggest fan of the relationship between Devlin and Rosie. Individually they were great, and goodness knows their chemistry was off the charts, but I’ve never been a big fan of the hate-to-love trope and it’s in full effect here. Rosie and Dev spar and bicker and trade insults. There’s something there but both are wary of the other and trust is a big issue. Fans of the enemies-to-love/hate-to-love trope will probably squeal in delight over their back and forth barbs, but it left me feeling like they just didn’t belong together. But like I mentioned, this was totally a me thing. Plot-wise Armentrout hit this one out of the park. I did guess one significant reveal midway through the second book (Moonlight Seduction) but that didn’t detract in the least because there were plenty more where that came from. Secrets were shared, backgrounds came to light, and the OMG moments just kept on coming. All the skeletons in the closet came tumbling out and left me reeling. I bow to Armentrout’s genius at delivering plot twists that blew my mind and had me yelling, “No way!” more than once. Well played, Jennifer, well played. If you’ve already jumped into the world of the de Vincent’s, you’re going to love this explosive finale. And if you haven’t, what are you waiting for? Note: I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher. This does not impact my opinion of the book or the content of this review. Amazing! We finally get to see behind Devlin's impassive demeanor. And it was a hot bed of repressed emotions that Rosie was able to set free. I love a quirky heroine, and Rosie owned her weirdness. I did have an inkling of one of the twists, but another one came out of left field! Superb ending to the trilogy. Amazing!
