Ms. Checkett's sure knows how to suck me into her books! This was another fun one and I'm really enjoying the Texas Titans! I definitely need to go back and read the first books. I liked both Hailey and Brady they have an instant attraction and chemistry. Hailey has a sad past she's trying to get over and has some pretty big walls Brady needs to get around. I did think they were saying "I love you" a little too quickly, but I'm totally a slow mover in that department! ha ha Overall, this was a fun escape and good addition to the series. Brady and Hailey rescue each other by pretty unusual circumstances....and it was so fun watching their relationship develop. I adored their characters and loved cheering them on. Checkett's writing really pulled me in and I could NOT put the book down. The only reason I gave it 4.5 stars instead of 5 is because I felt like the ending was a bit rushed and became extremely predictable...BUT I still thoroughly enjoyed reading every page. I don't like to give a lot of details in my reviews because I'm one who hates to have the story given away or surprises ruined...but their California trip is ADORABLE and magical. Fun read. I would definitely consider this an "adult" read because of a traumatic experience the heroine had before this story begins. It is discussed several times throughout the story and has a pretty big part in the storyline. There's also a greasy creep she deals with that is suggestive etc....and her cause of being rescued by Brady. Also includes several kissing scenes Clean, No language.

4 Stars!! This was a fun and quick romance to read. I didn’t love the cover so put off reading it at first but the story quickly drew me in. I liked the premise- a marriage of convenience between a hunky football player and the football team owner’s spunky daughter. Wow there were definitely some great swoon-worthy moments, yet the romance continued to stay clean (yes!). I really enjoyed the two main characters, Brady and Hailey. Their romance was sweet and gentle as there was much to overcome. A 4 Stars!! This was a fun and quick romance to read. Touch down A fun, modern marriage of convenience. Bad guys and big burly guys look the same when you’ve been hurt before. Learning to trust will take time... but well worth it.

I love books like this! This one features a sweet romance between two likable characters. It's a quick and easy to read book that I read in an afternoon. I liked Hailey, she's a sweet girl who just wants to be happy. But she's also terrified of getting to close to any males, because she's been hurt before. She also has a man that seems unwilling to stop terrorizing her. So, she does the only thing she can think of to get him to leave her alone. It's hard to tell if it worked or not, but that one action leads to a crazy ride for Hailey. I love that you get to see things from Brady's perspective. He's a great guy. I love how willing he is to help Hailey out and protect her from everything, including his falling in love with her. This is just a fun romance. It's also clean, something that I really loved about it! I loved escaping into it for a little while the other day!

I love the whole marriage of convenience trope. It's one of my favorites. I have also been loving these Texas Titan Romances so mixing the two together worked well for me. The Trustworthy Groom: Cami’s Texas Titan Romances Book 2 is by Cami Checketts. This is one of the most interesting of the books in the Texas Titan Romances so far. Hailey Knight was one of the trainers for the Texas Titans. She was also the owner’s daughter so had worked doubly hard to prove herself. She gave no slack to the players and even refused to date a football player. She loved her job except for one major dope, William Fonnesbeci. Unfortunately, he was the Vice- president of Rules and Administration from the state and could cause the Titans so much trouble with fines and suspensions. Yet, she was definitely finished with his advances and his innuendos of sex. She couldn’t tell her Father or he would most likely get in more trouble with the commissioner. While talking to William, she knew she couldn’t make him stop without a really good reason, so she told him she was engaged. Of course, he wanted to know who the lucky person was. She had no idea and then Brady Giles, a new team member walked up. He quickly grasped the situation and when introduced as her fiancée, he went along with it. Later that day, Hailey was called to her Father’s office. The team lawyer and Brady were there. Her Father had just learned of the harassment Hailey was getting from William. Between the four of them, they decided the best way to go was to have Brady and Hailey get married. Not only should that stop William but would help Brady out with his stalker. Was this the best answer to painful situations?

Getting married in order to get a man to leave her alone as well as to get a stalker to go away, seemed pretty drastic. But Hailey and Brady were willing to try anything to get their lives back, so they got married. Even though they didn't know each other. Hailey had had a bad incident with a football player in the past so she didn't date them now. So why did she marry one then? I liked that Hailey was a strong woman who didn't give in to her fear of big men - football players in particular - and realized that Brady wasn't like the one she was scared of, but was a kind, considerate man. I loved them both. I wasn't sure how a relationship would work between a woman who'd grown up in a wealthy family and a man who'd grown up with very little. But it did! Thank goodness I didn't need to know anything about football to enjoy this book. I loved it! Fans of clean read suspense, defined without explicit sexual content and bad language, will enjoy the romantic chemistry, the suspense and the conclusion.

After they kissed because she begged him, she told him why she's crazy: she was abused by her first sexual partner - a football player like him. Traumatized. But that still doesn't excuse her horrible character.

This is my favorite book in the series, at least of the books Cami contributed to the series (I haven't read most of the other authors' contributions). Such a sigh-worthy groom. Who can resist a man who is so protective and patient? Not to mention completely attractive. I enjoyed the marriage of convenience storyline. Great read, Texas Titans Football I have read several of these books in this group and love them. They are so heart warming and make you smile. They may have tears and issues to take care of such as stalkers and people blackmailing them but they still have that ending we all want. I m glad that Brady could show Hailey what true love was and wait and prove to her it does have to be the way she was treated.

Hmmm While I liked the twists and turns and the added suspense, it was way too drawn out. The stalker and creeper situations were good to add a little something but Hailey's back and forth with Brady just got exhausting and annoying after a while. And while the explanation and reasoning for it was good and valid, it just became tedious to read about her hot and cold constantly. It was a fine book. Not great, not bad. Gave up at 50%. It was a ridiculous situation and the characters kept repeating the reasons why they were justifying it to themselves. The heroine was as contrary with her reaction as a see saw. There was hardly any consistency in her personality. One moment she was frightened for her safety and then lusting the next, then perhaps back to being scared, who knows. So the plot was thrown out there and the bones of it were barely covered.

I loved this story overall. the premise was fresh, yet reminiscent of the billionaire marriage broker books (which I really enjoyed). The chemistry and trustworthiness were believable. I loved this contemporary marriage of convenience story! That can be such a fun trope, and this one was done so well. I loved Brady! He has a heart of gold. Trustworthy? - Absolutely!! I loved the gentleness and understanding he showed Hailey. She had so much spunk and sass, but deep hurts, as well. I loved them as a couple! And the epilogue was perfect!
