Life in the mountains is never uneventful as the author gets to grips with phantom sheep, midnight snail hunts, Catalan lessons, ghosts, floods, and flighty hens. London also has its challenges, as she juggles eccentric, rich, and often neurotic clients between Mayfair and Manhattan and is hotly pursued by lucrative deals. This book teleported me all the way to Mallorca, conjuring up copious bouts of the giggles along the way.

I was recommended this series of books for its perspective on Mallorcan life, but I have to say I found it a bit disappointing (not yet read the first one in the series as waiting to get hold of it). The content is quite interesting but the author is not a good writer. Unfortunately it dwells more on the author's rather random storytelling than Mallorca itself. But maybe later books in the series are better. I thought I'd read this book in preparation to my move to Spain. it was a nice, light read that made Spain a more exciting prospect. I like the way the author introduced the mix of cultures and events.
