4.5-5 stars Not going to lie, my memory of my first time reading this WEBTOON comic was wrong. My memory was that it was just okay and not super memorable, but it had been so long I couldn’t quite remember if this was correct or not. In order to be fair in my rating and review, I decided to read the comic again and try not to let my memory cloud my enjoyment of the comic. Not sure what comic I was thinking of because this comic was fantastic. Not sure what comic I was thinking of because this comic was fantastic. The dialogue was so honest and real, the characters were funny and engaging, the warm palette art style was unique, and the storyline definitely intrigued me. This fit the bill for me as I've been wanting to read books with a superhero or vigilante, a romance, and LGBTQIA+ book for a while but hadn't found ones that truly interested in or were readily available. Finding a comic that had all 3 topics in one amazing story just fills me with joy! I’m very glad to have given this comic another chance as I would have missed out on a wonderful read. Can definitely see myself reading this again in the future. #5 Read for Medievalathon: Earned the title of Princess and now have a fox companion since the cover has orange on it. Now my dog isn't so lonely anymore.

A really super cute webcomic. My first comic finished this year and it raised some standards. Power Ballad By Molly Brooks and lettered by Katharina Velez is a webcomic with 26 chapters about Meera, the power assistant to Superstar Carina. It's also about Carina, a famous superstar but who's also secretly The Skeleton, a vigilante! This is a really not stereotypical - it has diverse representation of queer women and power dynamics (work and relationship) and also one great representation of masculinity. Go Todd also poor Todd. Apart from Meera's and Carina's feelings, there is another plot involved in the story. A dead designer's creations are being stolen, even from people wearing them! That designer was actually related to Carina, so she takes and interest especially after meeting Diane Kane. Carina is pretty badass and she's trying to figure out who's behind the scheme. Art wise it's so very nice! It's all drawn in orange, purple and white and social media drawings are in blue mostly with some orange. There is a lot of cool action shots and since the chapters are one long scroll, some panels are pretty big. Another thing that I found interesting was the bird-view horizontal panels but that are drawn vertically. As mentioned, I loved Todd. He's Meera's 'bro' who calls everyone bro and fistbumps and brunches achievments. He dog walks and gets scared every time he hears 'Hypothetically speaking', yet he gives usually sound advice and may be a tiny bit overbearing like best friends tend to be. That's one healthy friendship! Meera and Carrie are super cute. Pretty equal power dynamic and both vulnerable and badass in their own way. Also both Meera and Carrie take jumps in order to kickstart the relationship. The music is pretty good too! There are some lyrics, not a lot especially compared with Band Vs Band Comix, Volume 1 but Prized Possesions was cool. Lettering was nice as well! Though some things I got about the mystery, the ending had a lot of plot twists. Pretty great how they managed to piece things together! Really great webcomic and recommended highly! Quick read but not that short.

A pop star is also a masked crime fighter with no powers. This follows her worried, but supportive PA who doesn’t know what to do with her crush. Truly a fantastic story! The crime she is investigating is handled really well. No information is kept from the audience, but you also don’t figure it out well before the characters. Wonderful queer and PoC representation. Also, I didn’t realize how much I needed this, but it was so refreshing to not have a single male character try to get into their f A pop star is also a masked crime fighter with no powers. My only complaint is I will forever be sad that I can’t actually watch the music videos

Amazing. If you have the time to look it up on Webtoons, do it. It's free. It's fun. It's funny. What more could you want? Amazing. If you have the time to look it up on Webtoons, do it. It's free. It's fun. It's funny. What more could you want?
