Cree is going a little crazy with recent changes in her life. She needs some of her family back together, and when a new family member shows up things get even more crazy for her. However, things are getting a little bit complicated with her trying to find a killer, and it may end up too late for her to save everyone. This book was okay. I felt like it was a little slow and kept going over the same thing, but other than that I enjoyed the humor and the drama. This book was a real page-tuner. Cree, West, and the gang are unraveling a mystery that involves Faraday's brother. In a previous novel. John Faraday's brother, Thomas, was thought to be dead and reappeared. In this novel, Thomas really is dead. Now, it's a matter of who did it and why. Cree is now a guardian of her cousin, Veronica. Cree didn't know she had a cousin until this sullen, insolent teenager shows up at her door. Veronica is a couple of months shy of turning 18 and had been living with another grandmother who died. Veronica is a pain in the backside, but Cree isn't to be deterred from doing what she knows has to be done with this girl. But the story really isn't about the relationship with Cree and Veronica. It was a side story and a way to introduce a few new characters. It worked. The end of the story was a mix of disappointment and a happily ever after. *No spoilers* It was written well and added intrigue all the way to the conclusion of the book. The reason I gave this four stars is because it needs to go back to the editor. Despite the wrong word usage in several instances and some confusing sentences, it was still a great read. I love Cree Blue and I love this series.

SPOILER ALERT! I love the wit and humor of the main character!! I've read this series thus far one right after another but thinking about breaking up. I may be calling it quits for good though I really thought I was in love! Haha. OK, I'm old and old fashioned. Most of my reading life there were no self published books, so books were edited professionally after the author sent the publisher a CLEAN copy of the story...not clean all bets are off for publishing. Nowadays I doubt that self publisher SPOILER ALERT! I love the wit and humor of the main character!! I've read this series thus far one right after another but thinking about breaking up. Most of my reading life there were no self published books, so books were edited professionally after the author sent the publisher a CLEAN copy of the story...not clean all bets are off for publishing. Nowadays I doubt that self publishers even proofread! In this series the author goes from 1st to 3rd person and back so fast its hard to envision the scene. Example: story going along narrated by main character, the sentence, "I put her hands on her hips." Impossible. The bad use of pronouns in this book had me rereading passages many times--trying to figure out who is doing what. I nearly quit reading the book a couple of times but then the author would come up with a quip so funny that MOST was forgiven! Now here comes the spoiler: help me out...am I missing something? At the end, the Leading Lady takes a pregnancy test. The stick is in her hand TEST COMPLETED when she has to have a shootout with the bad guy. She does not know the test result but the cops take the stick as evidence. Two women at the scene, both unconscious. One of them could be pregnant, great sub plot I think. But then, when the Dr saves both lives... nobody is pregnant! Nothing about a broken stick....and I read overit again to be sure the pg test was used and I quote, " After taking a shower I peed on the stick and got dressed." The pregnancy test stick would have shown negative or positive. If the cops took stick as evidence and said someone could be pregnant then the test read positive...or the author should have addressed a possible false reading. I'm all for lighthearted poetic license but this is cheating. Cartoons are more credible. I'm disappointed cuz gosh darnit I like this character! I am a reader paying attention to clues. Tell me how she could have not been pregnant it didn't fit at all and that should have been explained. Or... Tell me what I'm missing so I can go back to liking this series.

Great series Love this series. Different from her other series she has out. I love Cree and Archer together. This one wasn't quite as funny as the others, but still a great read. So many loose ends were wrapped up, it was almost like the series is ending. Glad to here there's another coming March. This mystery had serial killer cops, dead double agents and rogue CIA operatives. I can't wait for the family connection to the mob to be explored, that's gonna feel funny. Good This is book four of the series, and really needs to be read in order to make the most sense, since previous situations and characters from previous books are mentioned. When Cree’s godfather retired, he had one last case to solve. One that hit a little too close to home, and that resulted in Cree needing to solve another murder! I have been provided with a copy of Deadly Ties by the author for an impartial review. This is the fourth book in the Cree Blue Psychic Eye Mystery series and you would think that Cree couldn’t get herself into any more trouble well you be wrong if that’s what you thought. I received an ARC of Deadly Ties from the author Kate Allenton and have chosen to review it. Deadly Ties is the fourth book in the new series A Cree Blue Psychic Eye Mystery and the latest book in this series and once again Cree has found herself in trouble. I really enjoyed getting to read this and see what else Cree can get herself into with the help of West. I look forward to seeing what takes place next.

I love how this book is fast paced, but at the same time it has a laid back feel. From the first page I was dragged into the story and I couldn't put it down (I actually fell asleep in the middle because I was up reading so late). The ever growing relationship with West and the surprise people who pop up just make this story even better. I love reading everything about Cree and getting lost into her highly enticing world. Questions Answered! The latest installment in the Cree Blue series answers many questions that we have been waiting to have answered. Faraday’s brother Thomas, who was previously thought dead, really is dead now and his ghost leads Cree to find out who Killed him. The answer to the last case Cree’s father worked on with the police is also answered. There are a few surprise relatives who also come knocking. This is definitely the book you don’t want to miss!

Scared me! This book was still great but again had so many twists and turns I got whiplash. I feel like I can see it better as a movie or television to get me through the characters. Still great

Another quick, enjoyable installment in this series. Love the relationships between these characters. It’s what makes these book so fun. The mysteries this time weren’t as interesting as those in the previous books but the interplay between the characters made it worthwhile nonetheless.

Family secrets have come home to roost. Another great escapade for our psychic eye only now she has to cope with a teenage cousin she never knew existed. Take a serial killer, a dead undercover agent, the Mob and stir with great characters for a plot that will have you hooked until the end. Wonderful use of characters in this rich plot that will have you reeling with each new twist. Terrific
