Wow. What an absolute mess of a book. Yes, there are a handful of decent writing suggestions in here. But expending whole paragraphs on why your novel should include (wait for it) ... characters? Referring to non-fiction books as "novels" and then actually using the phrase "fiction novels"? The overall writing style here is so bad that it distracts from the content. It's not just bad grammar (though there is plenty of that). It's that the entire book feels as though it's been translated verbatim Wow. It's that the entire book feels as though it's been translated verbatim from another language and then gone straight to press without any editing to render it into reasonable English. Also, some of the "advice" here is confusing, truncated, or just plain bad. (For the love of all things holy, do *not* write your book primarily for family and friends, no matter how many copies they promise to buy.) I don't enjoy giving a harsh review to any book. In my experience, even a "bad" book can have redeeming features -- but unless you find repeated usage errors and sloppy, convoluted style to be hilariously entertaining, I would suggest skipping this one. There certainly are far better writing guides out there.

Not a step-by-step how to for writing a novel. Not much original content. But some useful info, so two stars.
