I did not agree with various things the author said in this book and am glad I read it when I did: after developing some of my own opinions on basic writing preferences. I would recommend reading with discernment. However, it was easy to read, humorous at times, and encouraging to new writers. The author brought up a lot of important topics and helped to simplify them. I also appreciated his focus on nonfiction.

Useful, in between rambles There is a lot of useful information on this book although the author loves talking about himself. I feel I practically know the guy and his life story after working my way through his book. Still I have highlighted and saved the bits that matter. Now to finish the first draft of the book!

Lovely and inspirational book with a nice and easy writing style. Would recommend it to any non-fiction writer in the making, but not as the sole reference. While the author touches upon every step of the process, he remains superficial most of the way. Great starting point with actionable steps though :)
