Broken SEAL is the tenth book in the Sleeper SEALs series. Note, each book is a standalone written by a different author. The Sleeper SEALs series sounds really interesting, including books by some authors I really like, so I was expecting all the books to be quite interesting. Add in how fun the synopsis of Broken SEAL made this book seem, and I was doubly excited to dive in. Unfortunately, what I was given was not at all what I had been expecting. I wanted a storyline that would grip me, filled with action. Yet the story failed to pack the expected punches. There were plenty of times where the information was repeated, as if to reach a word count, and I grew bored of reading the same thing. Whenever things did start to happen, they seemed to be over and done with extremely quickly. There were a couple of decent events, but nothing that blew my mind. For part of the book, I considered giving three-stars, yet the ending let me down. There was so much build up, only for everything to be over far too quickly. Not to mention, I didn’t care for the characters. Considering the shared past, I did not feel any chemistry between them. They could have been two strangers for all I felt about the relationship. I didn’t much care for them as individuals, either. It seemed like references were made to details as an attempt to add more depth to the characters, but it felt awkward. There were snippets of information about the characters, as though I was to think a certain way about them instead of making my own choice, and never made a full image of them in my mind. All in all, I was disappointed by this one. For such a short read, it took me far too long to work through it as I wasn’t sucked in as I had hoped to be.

In Danger! Broken Seal: Suspenseful, nail biting and exciting. It had a lot of emotions throughout the story. Loved the characters and how well they worked together. Loved the heat between Haley and Garrett. It was a wonderful story.

This was the first book I have read by Geri Foster, but I love the Sleeper Seals so I gave it a whirl. The book itself was excellent and Garrett was a wonderful man/hero and for that I give this book 3 1/2 stars. I found her to be selfish and self centered when it came to her relationship with Garrett, even after the many times he saved her life. To me it sounded like she may have lived him, but she didn't like or understand him. I felt he could do much better than her. Also, if I had read any previous Falcon books, there would have been less confusion with all the different characters. Without those two handicaps, this would have rated 4 1/2 stars.

3 Stars Garrett was a great hero and a great sleeper seal. Unfortunately Hayey sounded liked an insecure, whiney child. She certainly didn't sound smart enough to be a doctor. 3 Stars Garrett was a great hero and a great sleeper seal. Unfortunately Hayey sounded liked an insecure, whiney child. Broken SEAL This is another exciting addition to the Sleeper SEALs series but with a bit of a twist. Commander Lambert met with Frank from the Falcon Security and asked their help to take out terrorist that had tried to bomb the airport in Baltimore but we're planning another attack somewhere. They had also kidnapped a doctor to treat the leader, El Hashem who was injured in the attack. It just so happened that the kidnapped doctor was a Falcon agent's ex wife Garrett Mann. Once Garrett found out it was Haley he was determined to rescue her even though he was still broken hearted how she ended their marriage so abruptly two years ago when they lived in Dallas. She moved to Baltimore to start a new life but she still loved him as well. The problem was she could not stand worrying whether he would come back home alive after finishing a dangerous mission. He was not about to give up a job that he loved for any reason so they were at an impasse. Their agency worked with FBI agents to try and find her before the terrorists were done with her services. They also needed to find the terrorists before they carried out their main plot. It was amazing how they rescued Haley working as a team without any bloodshed. Now Haley and Garrett were thrown together on the run because the terrorist wanted her back. With the help from these two FBI agents they evaded capture and figured out what the next target was going to be and by whom, Preston McCoy alias Amid Tuni the brother to El Hashem which planned the white house attack. In the midst of all this chaos Haley and Garrett reconnected sexually but could she get over her insecurities was the big question. With the help from an unexpected source Franklin security, the secret service and the FBI they stopped the terrorists plot but not without an additional threat that had to be dealt with by Garrett's amazing markmenship. This made for an exciting story and Haley and Garrett even got their happily ever after again. I highly recommend this book and this multi author Sleeper SEALs series and am looking forward to the next release.

Not what I expected I really tried to like this addition to the Sleeper SEALs series but somehow the heroine, Haley, fell flat and I couldn't even warm up to her. I have read some of the Falcon Security series and they weren't anything like this book. Haley Kingston is kidnapped after leaving her work by a terrorist who needs a surgeon after their attack in the Baltimore airport failed. But when she checks the patient she knows immediately that death is not far away. With the help of Garrett and his friends they are able to help her escape from the group but the terrorists won't give up searching for her and try several time to kill her while she and Garrett race towards Washington DC and the White House. Will Haley and Garrett rekindle their romance or will they walk away? Garrett Mann completed his commitment to the SEALs and joined Falcon Securities become one of their best agents. However while dating Haley two years ago she wanted him to give everything up and take a safe job. When he refused she left him but when she needs him to rescue her he doesn't hesitate to go out and find here with the help of his team mates. But when one of the terrorist decides to continue to plan an attack on the president and the US there will be a surprise person who hates the US and men of Falcon more than Nadir. Will Garrett and Falcon be able to stop the attack in time and take out the ISIS splinter group?

I have to say each and every book in this series has captivated me from the very first page. This one is no exception. Garrett is charged with finding and rescuing Dr. Haley Kingston, his ex. She’s been taken by terrorists to provide medical care to their severely wounded leader. Now there are many reasons why he shouldn’t take this on, but the important reason he should is because he’s the best one for the job. Now there are many reasons why he shouldn’t take this on, but the important reason he should is because he’s the best one for the job. We learn a lot in the first few chapters of this book, a botched bombing at the airport, the injured terrorist, the kidnapped doctor, a murdered witness and the clearly out of the loop FBI. The agents in charge of this case join forces with Garrett and with the help of his Falcon connections are able to find and secure Haley. Unfortunately they end up in a dangerous game of cat and mouse, as Garrett endeavors to keep her away from the terrorists. It seems every time they turn around the bad guys are there, Garrett needs to get her some where safe so he and the others can figure out what the terrorists true plan is. Plenty of twists and turns as they race to win this deadly game. Scary, realistic, frustrating and action packed. I have decided I need to read Geri’s Falcon series to get to know some of the players in this one better.

I actually had to stop reading this book. I have only been unable to finish two other books ever! First off, there are so many mistakes in the book. One of the main bad characters ends up with a different last name half way through. There are so many typos, missing, or extra words/letters, that it was distracting to say the least. PLEASE fix these! This story has the potential to be one of the best in the series. The sleeper seal character, Garrett, is written well and he is definitely an Alpha. The character of the woman he has to save, Dr. Kingston, is written horribly. She is suppose to be the best surgeon in their area, but she ends up being whiny and selfish. I stopped reading at the point when she kisses Garrett in the Oval Office. She then started a fight with him there. He is suppose to be focused on his mission and there is absolutely no way his character would act this way during an important time in the story and in the Oval Office. I'm really disappointed. The rest of the Sleeper Seal series has been great and made the Seals alpha males with extreme focus and live at the same time.

It also shed light on how truly vulnerable our country still is to terrorists. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

Talk about intense, this book will have you on the edge of your seat. Well written with complex and engaging characters. An emotional second chance romance that is fast paced. Heart warming and tear jerking. This book grabs you at the beginning and keeps you page turning. You will be drawn into the life of former Navy seal Garret and Doctor Haley Kingston. Lots of drama, a kidnapping, terrorist and so much more. A great read. I read an advance reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.

Nice read. Well written short story with a nice storyline and plot. I like that the characters and how they develop. A passionate and emotional read with twists. Enjoyable and recommendable. I like the dramatic the story has. But I would have liked it to have more depth because it has so much potential. The characters are likeable. I enjoyed the suspense and action. Again brotherhood helping each other out. 2 years left st though between Garrett and Haley because of fear and pride. People who love each other need to communicate.

Honestly I've liked this whole series, even loved several of the books UNTIL this one. I just didn't enjoy it. I can't stand selfish whining women which the main female character was. Ugh... The storyline was all over the place and extremely confusing. Just did not enjoy this book at all Honestly I've liked this whole series, even loved several of the books UNTIL this one.
