In the words of Edward Thorndike, “Colours fade, empires fall, temples crumble but wise words endure.” This is the perfect representation of the fact that words are powerful and immortal and will survive the test of time. In The Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Greg insists that what he maintains is not a diary but a journal. The chief difference between the two though they’re used interchangeably is that a diary is more personal whereas a journal is more permissive. In The Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Greg insists that what he maintains is not a diary but a journal. The chief difference between the two though they’re used interchangeably is that a diary is more personal whereas a journal is more permissive. The book elaborates on people’s reasons to write a journal such as to remember and be remembered, to combat stress and negative feelings, as a form of escape, to enhance one’s skills and as a form of therapy. It also provides helpful tips on how to write in the journal and the rules of proper journal writing which is highly flexible but includes rigorous practice to get away from the writer’s block once in a while. A few writing prompts are discussed for each and every month of the year taking it week wise. It is highly enlightening and resourceful. Everyone’s been through those days when one feels like not getting any work done but putting it off till the last moment only makes things worse around deadlines. Yes, we’re all guilty of procrastinating. The ultimate enemy of productivity is procrastination and this book is a great way to discover the reasons behind procrastination and how to overcome it. One really good and unique suggestion is to commit to a project publicly. While most people willingly provide social media updates about most happenings in their lives, a public declaration is a way to find constant engagement with the very thought of the work and the fact that one is bound to be questioned about it will only push a person to remain updated. Another idea is to create a Not-to-do list by jotting down things that are unnecessary and may either be left out or given less priority and hence, putting forth the important ones. Prioritising is an inherent part of planning and helps to maintain the momentum of the work. This adds value to the work and keeps away distractions. Yet, multi tasking remains a major challenge to most people which can be eased through the tried and tested method of time blocking. It is about allotting specific amount of time for specific tasks during the day for specific tasks. Having a blocked schedule gives an accurate overview of things and helps to strategize work performance ahead of time. The chapter on Ultradium Rhythm or Pomodoro timer is excellently educative. This step by step guide is a great way to start focusing enregies in the right direction with such a helpful handbook companion by one’s side. However, it may seem to be all too instructional and less of first hand accounts. The chapters are extremely short and the entire bundle can be read in a single sitting quite easily.

Review: JOURNALING 2 in 1 This useful dual bundle from Lean Stone Publishing promotes both the practice of journaling, and a series of easy to implement simple hacks to benefit productivity. I think most all of us can benefit. Journaling is a creative process, which need not be confined to only writing. Journaling can be doodling, painting, drawing in pen and ink, watercolors, charcoal; cartooning. It can be composing song lyrics or poems, or even creative writing in response to prompts. I think most all of us can benefit. Journaling is a creative process, which need not be confined to only writing. Journaling can be doodling, painting, drawing in pen and ink, watercolors, charcoal; cartooning. It can be composing song lyrics or poems, or even creative writing in response to prompts. Journaling can relieve or reduce stress, and clear the mind--leading to greater productivity-- Which can also be intensified using some simple procedures--or "hacks"--to train the mind toward the most productive channels. An example is "the to-do list" which we all know of, with a different spin: 1) Write the top 3 "to do" tasks. 2) Write a "not to do" list! Example, skip social media till after the work day, don't surf the internet until evening, no television till after homework or business, and so on. Try these ideas and see how much it helps
