Tackled In Seattle was the second book in the Men of Tyee series by Jamie Davenport. Gage Harmon was a wounded quarterback. Davenport took us on a journey of two new adults paving their way in the world. It was a path of discovery, new beginnings and honesty. It was a quick and enjoyable read. Davenport also set up a new spinoff, The Scoring series, which highlights Easton in the first book, Shutout. It has promise to be a heartbreaker and I can’t wait!

The touching father/daughter talk was one of my favorite parts of the book.

I have read several of the authors books, and not in order. (just by happenstance) So even though this book is a part of a series that is a spin-off of another there is no need to have read the others. All information that is needed is given. Of course if you have read the books you know more about the secondary characters, but that is not necessary to enjoy the book. A cute sports romance with royalty thrown in. With lots of hot chemistry. The only thing that I didn't like was that from the blur I have read several of the authors books, and not in order. What happens when your life is completely turned upside down you either accept it or you don’t. That’s what happens to Alisa & Gage. Alisa is a young college student but when she finds out she truly is a Princess she accepts the challenge of living her life like royalty and moving away from the only life she knows, what she doesn’t expect is moving away from Gage would be harder than she thought. Gage is a man that has always wanted to make it into the NFL and become the son that would be there to help his family have a easier life and to make them proud of the man he becomes. What he never expects is that Alisa wasn’t just a causal hook-up but someone he has grown to care for or even to love. What happens is that they both need to either accept their fates or try and find a way to be together or just move on with their lives. You will watch this couple go through so many emotional ups and downs but what you hope is they can find a way to have a HEA that both truly deserve.

**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review** Tackled In Seattle, the second book in the Rookies Men of Tyee series was definitely a good one. While this is part of a series, you can definitely read it as a standalone and not have any issues at all. He's always been one that keeps things to himself, especially information about his personal life. Gage was the starting quarterback until a broken leg sidelined him and now his backup has taken his job. He's always been one that keeps things to himself, especially information about his personal life. No one asks, so he doesn't offer. He's always dreamed of making it to the NFL, but now that he's not playing, he's unsure if he'll be able to make that dream a reality and to compound problems, he's not going to graduate either, so he's got to figure out where his life is heading. Alisa has recently learned that she is a real life princess. It wasn't until her stepfather passed away that her Mom shared with her who her biological father was. To learn that she is the daughter of one of England's royal family members has been quite an adjustment and the real changes are forthcoming. Gage and Alisa had been together the previous school year and it was mostly a physical relationship. After Gage broke his leg, he pushed her away so he didn't have to reveal the truth about his upbringing and the fact he wasn't as affluent as everyone thought he was. When they see one another again at school, the chemistry between them has not diminished at all, but they feel they can't be together. Will they really be able to stay away from one another? And even when Alisa has to leave the country, is this really the end for them? This couple sees many highs and lows, but in the end all of the things they go through help to make them stronger. I really enjoyed how all of it played out and evolved over the course of the book. It was entertaining and one that I would recommend.

Hell’s teeth, they were both busy shagging their individual ways through college, but it was fun seeing them trying to sort out their friend’s relationship while keeping it casual for themselves. When each of them experiences a watershed moment in their lives, both are stunned at the level of hurt they suffer in missing the other. The only trouble is, while Gage has realised he wants it all, Alisa’s change is circumstance is so extreme that she daren’t risk anything! Ms. Davenport’s descriptions of the tenacious and romantic Gage versus the new almost nun-like Alisa are fun yet thought provoking, and beg the question, what would you give up to become part of the royal family. An unlikely but fascinating scenario nonetheless. The icing on the cake is the reappearance of past heroes and characters. I loved it. 4.5 Stars.

Gage has had a hard time recently. He was on the fast track to be recruited, when an accident left him with nerves that are not working toward his goal. His one good thing in life was Alisa, and she seems so distant. This story moves along at a rapid pace. There is so much going on. The heat between the two principles is very steamy and comes quickly off the page. I love that no matter what they are gravitating toward on another. I cannot wait to read the next installment in this new Men Of Tyee series. ***This ARC copy was provided in exchange for an honest review only.

Jami Davenport scores a touchdown with Tackled in Seattle (Men of Tyee #2). Alisa Brown discovers that she is a princess and second in line to the throne. I will admit that in the middle of this story I had some problems with the way Lis was handling her life decisions and how her journey unfolded. Both characters had a lot of growing up to do and I felt made poor choices at times. I actually wasn’t sure if I wanted them to find each other. Alisa and Gage...wow!! What started as a consistent booty call in college turned into so much more! I liked Alisa and Gage's story. I enjoyed the complexity of these characters. What would normally be a straightforward and simple romance is complicated by big changes for each of these characters. I felt for these two. Neither one was really in an enviable position. I enjoyed this second book in the Men of Tyee series. Alisa and Gage are really good characters because there is much more to them than what there seems to be. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Gage and Alisa. It was truly a "princess" story. Kind of far-fetched, but the story worked. Gage and Alisa are college students that hooked up regularly--until they didn't. Gage has a big secret that he's been keeping and after starting a new school year, Alisa has one of her own. It was very entertaining to see how these two complex characters made it work for them. I voluntarily read an ARC and submit my review. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Gage and Alisa. Gage and Alisa's story was a good and steamy read. This was my first time reading one of Jami Davenport's books but will not be my last. I will admit that I would have probably enjoyed it even more if I had read the previous book in this series even though it is a standalone, just because there were a few times I felt lost by not knowing these two's past. Tackled in Seattle was a good book and definitely worth picking up. Gage and Alisa's story was a good and steamy read. Oh what an adventure this book is! Go from college in Seattle to Buckingham Palace in England all within the covers! This story is awesome, I love Jami Davenport's words. The swing of emotions are all there, from happy to be a hook-up, to realizing that you are in love, only too late, or is it? I love Alisa and Gage, they are so fun! Oh what an adventure this book is! Davenport takes a different path this time around and delivers a deliciously, fascinating sports fantasy. Gage and Alisa are a house of cards. What happens when the trust had is toppled by the secrets kept? Tackled in Seattle is a tale of heartstopping romance, captivating storytelling and unbelievable twists. Shock and awe takes center stage in the most unlikely of settings.

Honestly this is a great romance of two people who are trying to be their best so they don't let their families down. All the while falling in love with each other. With a princess and football player it has lots of unexpected situations for them to navigate. I can't wait to meet the rest of the group in the next books. There was more than a nod to the quintessential fairytale with this the latest in the Men of Tyee series. Alisa Brown was your average kid, right up until the moment her mother tells her exactly who her father is, and she suddenly discovers that she is far from average, nope she is proper royalty ...her father being second in line to the throne in the UK. As if that little bombshell isn’t enough to have her running for the hills, the mayhem that ensues once her story is revealed is nothing short of chaos. Her quiet ordinary life…decimated. Gage totally won me over, he was the standard jock, the all-American hero, the star quarterback until a sporting injury left all the plans he had for his future in tatters. The best thing in his life other than his family is Alisa but when her royal heritage becomes common knowledge, he is faced with losing everything because how on earth does this average kid, with nothing special to offer keep the heart of a Princess? I say keep the heart because they genuinely have the most fabulous connection and I was rooting for them from very early on. Gage didn’t want to be the reason that she felt as if she had to stay in the US, after all, he had nothing to give her as an incentive, he was from a hardworking ordinary family, his success in the NFL would have been key to better things for his whole family and losing that was gut-wrenching, he so wanted to give his folks something that would make their lives easier. I loved his sense of honour and his determination to do the right thing, if anyone had what it would take to be with a Princess it could very well have been Gage …if only he could get his head around that when it came to Alisa the woman, not the Princess he was just what she needed and wanted, they just had to get over the hurdles that were put in their way. Could they? Well, that is for you to find out. A charming read that was just what I needed to while away a Sunday afternoon.

I'm a HUGE football fan, college & pros, as it's been my happy place for as long as I can remember. My secret addiction is keeping up with all things royal, so when the amazing Jami Davenport mixed the two, well I wanted to dance it out, but I couldn't put the story down either to do so. So, Alisa's mom has been keeping a huge secret from her, that she's really a Princess, as the father she never knew, is actually 2nd in line to the British Throne. Gage has lost his starting quarterback position after breaking his leg, and he's not taking it well at all, especially since he's had one goal in life, the NFL. He sees it as the only way that he can make his parents life easier, as they work too hard on the family farm. He also doesn't have enough hours to graduate college yet, and his friend with benefits, Alisa, has broken their arrangement off. Back to Alisa, who now has to keep her nose clean as scandals are not tolerated, plus, she can't tell anyone of her real station in life. She loves Gage, but is wanting to just ignore him so she can get on with her new life. However, life doesn't always go along with our plans, and she ends up sharing a house with him, & 4 other dudes. So, Gage is unhappy & difficult, while Alisa can't be caught up in any scandals, and can't keep things up with Gage. That about sums it up for this review. So, obviously there's a ton of questions, like will Gage make it to the NFL? And if he doesn't, can he move on with something else? Then, can Alisa actually act like a princess, and give up Gage forever? Those questions and many others are answered in Tackled in Seattle, so all you have to do is one click it! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Alisa and Gage spent a year as friends with benefits, even though they both felt more for the other. When he pushes her away after an injury during football, she is heartbroken and vows that she isn't going to let him back into her life. Gage realizes that he was a jerk, but believes they are done after she repeatedly tells him there is no future. Their chemistry was electric, but she was determined (due to some news she found out over the summer) to be on the straight and narrow and not have a Alisa and Gage spent a year as friends with benefits, even though they both felt more for the other. Their chemistry was electric, but she was determined (due to some news she found out over the summer) to be on the straight and narrow and not have a relationship with anyone. He wants her back, especially since the rest of his life seems to be going down the crapper. Even though I was rooting for them to figure things out, I did get frustrated while reading this book. I wish Gage would have been honest with her earlier on about his upbringing. If she reacted badly, that would have been on her, not him. I also wish she would have told him the truth about who she was earlier. No relationship, in my opinion, stands a chance when lies are involved. Hurtful words are said by both, but especially her. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it. I also can't wait to see what happens with other characters in upcoming books. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
