DNF @ 72% I know when I read an ARC to expect, the odd spelling, grammatical or repeated word error, but when you get to a pivotal part between the H/h of what is already a short story, to be provided with the following - (Love scene, 1000 words) Rather than the actual event, and then straight onto the next chapter is a little bit light on detail even for me. Seeing as this book released back in September, I hope the author managed to write, and include the missing 1000 word 'love scene' for readers who have actually bought the book. For me, this story needed the sex, so to have it whipped away before it even started killed my interest in finishing it. ARC (or part thereof anyway) provided via Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review.

This book premise sounded good, but the execution of it was short and rushed. Maybe if it was a cll book instead of a novella is would have worked better. It seemed very rushed to me!

Received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I would have liked to give it more, but unfortunately I couldn't, had the book been longer maybe the character and story could have been told a little been better and we would have gotten more to it, and enjoyed it.. Although I like the premise of Playing Doctor, I don't feel as if it was executed very well. For one, it's too short for me to have gotten a good handle on either character. The relationship between Trey and Felicia isn't well-developed or fleshed out enough because of the short length of Playing Doctor. I felt like it was getting there, then bam, the ending happened and I was left unsatisfied. There was also something strange about my review copy that I hope wasn't left in the final release vers Although I like the premise of Playing Doctor, I don't feel as if it was executed very well. There was a point when a love scene should have happened, but in its place were just the words "Love scene, 1000 words" If there is a love scene in the final version, it would help this story a lot. As my copy is though, it's not included, and it definitely did not help this already under-developed story. I wanted a lot more from Playing Doctor - more well rounded characters, more passion, more attraction, more relationship and character development, just more, lots more, and I'm sad I didn't get it because there was definitely potential here. This was a quick, entertaining read. Suspend your disbelief that a high-powered doctor would leave his career to go be the doctor for a resort in Hawaii. If you can accept that and can accept that a corporation would have a week-long retreat in Hawaii and a boss would pressure employees to do thing like walk across burning coals. If you can accept the set up, it’s a rather cute story of busy, stressed-out corporate woman meets a hunky guy on her vacation and falls for him just as he’s falling fo This was a quick, entertaining read. Short quick and easy read. Likeable characters that are well described. Promissing storyline and plot. Would have like more action and depth to the story. A first it felt very confusing but that got better. Not much hotness and chemistry. Too rushed overall. Would have like a longer story to give it more of everything. Enjoyable read.

I️ was really enjoying this story.. a feisty workaholic heroine and a chilled laid back doctor. What’s not to like? Unfortunately it was just starting to get steamy and the author just wrote 1000 sex scene!! Not included. Oh dear, ruined the whole premise for me.
