If fact, so far this year approximately 45% of the 240+ reviews I written have been for the book of this genre. I came to reading/reviewing this book due to a recommendation of a reader of one of the Christian reviews I’ve written. Of the multitude of topics non-fiction, Christian books deal with I’m especially enthralled by those books, of which this book is one, that deals with one of the biggest questions that both those newly arrived at the Christian faith and non-believers. And this question happens to be the one that this book, the first in the series of four books, covers within its information pages; is the question of who is the Lord, and what role does an individual play in regards to Him. The author, Ann Morgan Miesner, uses the knowledge she’s gained through life experiences with the Lord to educate her readers, especially women, as to who the Lord is, and who they are in the Lord’s eyes. With her easy to understand writing, Ms. Miesner succeeds in accomplishing this goal, by having them begin to see how the Gracious Lord works His wonders throughout their lives, and her readers do an introspective examination of themselves especially in regards to their hearts and minds. While this book is an excellent reading experience when reading it alone, the power that this has becomes far more evident when it is read in small, intimate bible study groups of women; this is not meant to exclude any men from the power this book can have on their lives. The reason I’m saying this, rest in the understanding women share the same sort of life experiences, which men can’t even begin to understand, such as carrying the seed of life for the next generation of Christians. Ms. Miesner’s series of four books start their introduction to the Lord in a most appropriate place, by getting to know and love Him by His Hebrew name[s] located in the Old Testament. It is for this reason, as a reviewer of Christian books, I’m grateful I’ve given Ms. Miesner, the 5 STARS she justly deserves.

This is the first of 4 books that cover different aspects of our relationship with God. In this book the author looks at twelve of the Hebrew names of God. As she indicates, our name is the most important part of us. Our identity is from our name, either good or bad. The Hebrew names for God identify how He related to His people, Father, One and Only, True God, Alpha and Omega. The author shows how knowing the Names of God provide "Experiential Knowledge of who He is." I have not read the additional books but I felt this one was very inspirational. I hope you will too. I gained some insight on the meaning of these names and how they apply to us individually. I felt the descriptions could have provided more information on how God is defined. I don't read books of this type in 1 or 2 days. I include them as part of my daily Bible Study, so the time depends on how many books I'm reading at the same time.
