Zombie Chaos Book 1 Wow!! This was awesome. I loved this book and I can't wait to start the second book in this series. Great story with amazing writing. My heart was beating out of my chest throughout the whole book. I love Joe and can't wait until he gets to Claire. I'm still sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to see what's going to happen. Well written And a lot of fun. Honestly I think the MC should have died a couple of times, but I like him and kept rooting for him. I didn't find any errors in this book. My only complaint would be the how of the zombies coming about needs to be explained better. I recommend this book. Well written And a lot of fun. When a zombie book is set in New Orleans, I try to pick it up. I've visited several times over the years, and I figure it would be a colorful kind of apocalypse. I'm also more interested in unusual settings than in a generic place. I wasn't let down by the descriptions. The author is from there, so I enjoyed the feel of the book having local flavor. There's tons of zombie action, starting from the first page. Some unusual attack scenes, lots of running, some bits of history. One thing I really got a kick out of was the cat. The main character runs around the city with his cat in a carrier, fighting zombies. It was amusing (but grim because it is an apocalypse) but I can imagine a lot of people refusing to leave their animals behind. My problem with the book was the main character. I didn't entirely like him. His attitude occasionally rubbed me the wrong way. And the author set up a couple of scenes to support the guy's crappy attitude. He also made some really stupid decisions. It was frustrating because he would do something smart, then turn around and do something idiotic. Still, enjoyed the cat, the location, the guy's wife - even though she doesn't show up in this book. He just thinks about her a lot, and tries to escape N.O. so he can pick her up in Baton Rouge. Might pick up the next book.

Mardi gras and the walking dead! I would definitely recommend this book for the zombie lover! I like the strong tone of reality in every page, every decision characters make... Just a really non stop action and gore packed story to enjoy!

More about Nola than zombies Ok, it might have ended up being better but I stopped about 60% they the book. It’s hard to invest in the character when the content constantly beers off course into describing New Orleans. If you want a great description of the city and what to visit or do then read this book. I just couldn’t get into it because of the constant distraction of The Travel Channel.

If you like the post-apocalyptic zombie genre, this is certainly worth reading. It has the fun setting of Halloween in New Orleans. Slower paced than I would like. The story takes a long time to do not much. The gimmick that the hero knows a little bit ahead of time of what's going to happen doesn't really work for me. Perhaps in subsequent books of the series it will make more sense. I didn't hate it but it certainly wasn't the worst I've read in this genre. I highly recommend this book! I could not put it down. I loved the characters so much, especially azazel! Great story and i like the twist on how the zombie Apocalypse happens. Very descriptive and loved the snark. It starts out in New Orleans and I just visited the marvelous city so for me it was awesome being able to recognize the description in the book. It is nice and fast paced with gore thrown in between. Can not wait to read the next one.

Started but didn't finish. The book is well written it's just that I've read so many in this genre there needs to be something new to keep my attention. New readers to this genre would enjoy this I am sure. Started but didn't finish. Just a run of the mill Zombie book. Very disappointed, I was hopping for a good old fashion, blood dripping story! It was the first of a series but I won't be buying the next one. It's slow to get going, and the beginning feels like we missed a big chunk of what was going on. The horror movie quotes at the beginning of each chapter don't add anything - they aren't even particularly applicable to the chapters. Zombies I liked how the author talked about the architect of New Orleans. The fun thing that did everyday. He express his sadness , fear and terror of the zombies.
