Drugs and gangs. Can't wait for the fourth book in this series. Prescription drugs, drugs and gangs killing other gang members. Task force trying end or chase them out of their city. Dirty and corrupt officials, bloody killings of task force members and police officers. Frank Harper dealing with his addiction, trying to keep his job in the police department. What he went through during the Katrina in Louisiana, hunts him. Hoping for a bright future for him in the next book. Drugs and gangs. Can't wait for the fourth book in this series. If I continue to read this author, I'll have to increase my blood pressure medicine. This is the third of the series that I have read, and yet they remain exciting and new. My opinion of the main character (Frank) changes with each book and during each book. He is a wounded hero. Just as I start to like him, he does something stupid, and in the series, he gets more and more stupid. But his heart is good, and somehow he always saves the day. The writing is good. To say they are action-packed is an understatement. Well worth the read.

Very good book. An alcoholic drug addict was finally given a chance to break from his addiction in unforeseen ways. Although he didn't realize it at the time, it was a game changer for this man. Lots of action involving illegal drugs, murders, criminal mischief and we'll put together. Author Greg Enslen gave me hours of time doing something I love to do. Reading. Now I'm starting his next in the series, Yellow Jacket. Let's see where we go from here. Very good book. Suspense and action galore! This was by far the best in the series. In the beginning, I wondered why Frank was suddenly being made into the bad guy. Very complicated events leads one to believe we can all have a downfall and bounce back after horrific events in life. I am disappointed to learn this is the last of the series , or maybe I will be surprised with another? I hope so!

This book should come with a huge trigger warning; drugs, gangs, rape, kidnapping and beatings. That being said, this is another knock out from Greg Enslen. I am always a skeptic, but this book being the third in a series is amazing. There were no shortages of twists and the characters are growing and evolving with each book. I am excited to finish this series and see what Enslen has to offer with the final book!

A good followup to Black Ice While I preferred the story in Black Ice, this adventure was certainly worth the read. I got a little bogged down in the large cast of cops and criminals, too many to keep track of without having to backtrack to previous chapters. This book had a satisfying conclusion, considering the story has to continue.

Crime sometimes does pay I liked the way the characters were developed. I found myself liking and not liking them at the same time. Story line was horrendously true to life, with the mole, the bad and good cops and even criminals with consciences. Not all was resolved, which will probably mean a sequel.

Trouble all round This tale paints a picture of greed that is always looking to exploit weaknesses. The hero has seen better days and dealing with serious addiction problems. The crime task force pride of the mayor has some issues. The violence before the book ends seems extreme and our hero manages to survive and reconcile with his daughter.

This book was very intense. Frank gets kidnapped by a very organized gang. The police are trying to shut down all the gangs, but it seems as though there is a mole somewhere. It is always interesting to see what happens to Frank next. The big question is: is Frank really missing?

    Ellen White

Starts off full of action, going in for a drug bust, hoping to run the gangs doing them out of town. A cop having to deal with the effects of Katrina is getting him thru with alcohol and drugs. A good action plot, and Frank, hope he gets help he needs.

Really good read I love the character development and the intertwining of those characters. This author makes you want to know them. The twisting plots are excellent. You have to read the series!

Outstanding The storyline continues with what appears to be a bleak outlook in the life of Frank Harper. The action begins to pick up and this book finally reaches the level of excitement found in the first 2 books. Waiting anxiously for book 4

Good character development and a deeply involving read, Frank is a troubled guy that you really hope will be able to turn his life around following a dreadful experience in the New Orleans Katrina hurricane. After all is said and done he is a great cop.

This was pretty fast read for me...the overall story of the book was interesting and a bit exciting for the most part. A couple down sides was the language in the first half of the book, but then I suppose gangbangers are going to have loose language...but the author could be a little more generic (ask Officer Peters!) Also turned out to be pretty violent and losing some main side characters. GLAD IT WAS FICTION! Poor Dayton, Ohio! Also Frank Harper books seem to always start out with him being This was pretty fast read for me...the overall story of the book was interesting and a bit exciting for the most part. Even with the negatives...I'm sure I will eventually read the next of the series.
