This review is for Blood Moon by Livia Quinn -- It’s almost Halloween and strange things are happening in Destiny. Tempe can’t seem to keep her emotions in check and you better bring your umbrella because that means storms are imminent. River is drinking away at the bar when in walks a gorgeous sword-wielding goddess looking for a dragonhunter. The gloom eating at River’s soul is lifted when Cinder’s around. Could she be the key to his redemption or has his master come calling for the last time? This review is for Blood Moon by Livia Quinn -- It’s almost Halloween and strange things are happening in Destiny. River is drinking away at the bar when in walks a gorgeous sword-wielding goddess looking for a dragonhunter. The gloom eating at River’s soul is lifted when Cinder’s around. Could she be the key to his redemption or has his master come calling for the last time? Cinder is Conor’s little sister and her calling as a dragonhunter’s assassin is put in jeopardy when she falters in killing the hooded man known as Styx. She consults Conor and after consulting the Fae King and Queen, Conor goes through the portal in search of an ancient dragon druid for answers. What he discovers will shake the foundation of all the Paramortals in Destiny and beyond. Enemies must join forces in order to defeat Styx or all will be lost, including Tempe and Sheriff Jack Lang. Will they defeat Styx or is this the end of Destiny and its inhabitants? There’s a lot going on in this book and while I wish I could share the juicy bits and jaw-dropping reveals, I won’t due to my strict NO SPOILERS policy. Let me just say that you’ve got to read this book, especially if you’re a fan of paranormal romance. Quinn does an excellent job filling in details, so it can be read as a standalone novel. This is Livia Quinn’s best book to date for one simple reason: her ability to balance action, suspense, romance and all things paranormal while revealing only enough to keep the reader glued to the story. Brilliant and exciting. A few twists and turns caused me to gasp a few times. The ending made me cry but in a good way. A must-read and highly-recommend! Favorite Character/Quote: Cinder. I loved her passion for life and a female dragon is so sexy. She’s a bundle of sultriness, loves fiercely and is not afraid to go toe-to-toe with her enemy. Brave doesn’t even begin to describe her and I loved reading her story. My Rating: 5+ stars This review first appeared: https://princessofthelight.wordpress.com

I'm reviewing Adaline Raine's Marked by Fate, book 1. Abby is curious about who she really is and all the things that seem so off about her. Chase is her boss, and also the man who saved her from danger. He tells her some things that seem too odd to be true, including the fact that there are vampires and she is marked by fate, and now that the vampires know that she is there, she is going to be in a lot of danger. Abby's mark makes her highly desirable. She can give the vampires more power and help them heal faster. The only way to save her is if another vampire marks her and covers her mark. I really enjoyed this story and found it an interesting view of vampires, something that can be hard to do. Adaline wrote an interesting story with good characters and good writing. All in all, I really enjoyed this story and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series as it comes out. I hope that I don't have to wait for too long. I received and ARC and this is my honest and voluntary review.

I would definately recommend this story along with the rest of the series. Well done Jane.

This anthology contains 24 stories. It's impossible to review so many at once so I'll be reviewing Saving Abby by Adaline Raine. Abby's had "abilities" all her life, abilities she can't explain. It's impossible to review so many at once so I'll be reviewing Saving Abby by Adaline Raine. Abby's had "abilities" all her life, abilities she can't explain. She needs to know who, what, she is. But who to go to? When a hasty decision takes her to the worst part of town for answers, she's attacked. But why? By whom? Raven Stillwater, an infamous vampire, that's who. As Abby struggles to free herself, her billionaire boss, Chase, comes roaring up on his motorcycle to rescue her. But Abby wants answers, not rescues. And Chase seems to know a LOT more than he's telling! Turns out, Abby's much more special than she knows. She has a "mark of fate," invisible to most but very visible to supernaturals. Just how does Chase know this? He's certainly not talking. And Abby's as frustrated as hell because Chase keeps making demands and giving no answers. As the attacks continue, Abby's life is clearly at stake. Chase knows of only one way to save Abby from certain death. But to do so will reveal his deepest, darkest secret, make him vulnerable in so very many ways. Can he even consider this? Despite their deep and immediate attraction, Abby's more than a handful, and she's certainly no pushover. If Chase confesses all he knows, Abby will bolt. He's sure of it. It looks like there's no choice. As events swirl out of control, the villains grow bolder, more numerous, and infinitely more dangerous. Just what is Abby? Why is she so important? Can Chase tell her? More importantly, can he tell her what he is? And if he does, will it make any difference? Will Abby live or die? Nothing is certain. In the end, do either Abby or Chase have a choice or a chance? Adaline Raine is a new author for me, and this story totally blew me away. Ms. Raine's imagination and creativity are obvious from the first word of the first page. I love the story's creativity, it's inventiveness, and that it's incredibly HOT! But beyond that, Ms. Raine's writing ability is outstanding. Her characters are incredibly charismatic and true-to-life. The plot is totally engaging, full of twists and turns, ups and downs, never predictable in any way. I was so totally enthralled by this story that it took nothing at all for me to believe that vampires, fated matches, and otherworldly beings exist. I fell in love with Abby, her feistiness, her struggles to take in everything, including all things supernatural, and the fact that she's certainly no damsel in distress. And Chase? He's absolutely not your stereotypical billionaire hero! Their relationship is the very heart of this story, but there's so much more to pull you in and hook you from the moment you start reading. And, as strange as it might sound, the story also demonstrates an innate understanding of human nature, that people often don't know themselves quite as well as they think they do. Adaline Raine has created a very rare and exceptional treat that shows her unique ability as an author, and I'm very happy to have discovered her! I was captivated from beginning to end. This story is enchanting, and I've found another favorite! I give Saving Abby and Moonlight Magic five stars and my highest recommendation. As I previously stated, this is just one of the 24 stories contained in Moonlight Magic. I've not yet had a chance to read all the the stories, but I can assure you the ones I have read are just as wonderful as Saving Abby. I urge you to grab this collection while you can. You won't be sorry! One final note. Please be an informed reader and consumer! This is an ADULT anthology. The books contain explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy this genre, think hard before buying any book you know you won't enjoy. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and all booksellers' websites. Use these resources. DON'T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK. It's not fair to the authors! They work extremely hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you'll object to the book's subject matter before you buy it, you're doing yourself and the authors an extreme disservice. Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!

3.5 stars. If you love PNR and supernatural romance, this is a set of stories you have to get! Add in some diverse writers and it gets even better. Some of the stories contain violence and sex, so definitely 18+. So far I have only read Under A Darkened Moon by Jane Hinchey. A wonderful written erotic romance novella for adults only that I highly recommend.

I absolutely enjoyed reading "Under A Darkened Moon" by Jane Hinchey. It was a thrill ride to see Rhys get his HEA after having been the side kick in Georgia's and Zak's stories. With this story it was like a brick upside the head for Rhys, especially when he woke to find that Kasie had disappeared a bit a bit early of their agreement for 3 nights of fun and games. Oh what a story!! Beautiful Kasie on the run, will she be caught by her old Alpha or will she manage to escape him for good, I must admit I was in tears at the end of this book. Oh and then there is Rhys, man now that’s what an Alpha should be. Can he help Kasie, oh boy I tell ya, you can’t put this book down until the end. When you start reading make sure you have time to read the whole book in one sitting. You won’t be able to focus on other stuff while reading this book.

*voluntarily read and reviewed the ARC I received from the author* I read Jane Hinchey's Under A Darkended Moon and it was like a 3.5 for me. I really liked Rhys in the Awakening series and to see him on his own territory with his own life was pretty cool. The set-up was great, and I liked his meeting with Kasie, but it was really short. Personally, a few more moments for a lot of their time together would've gone a long way with me.

So far I have read Under a Darkened Moon and I loved it! Kasie was a great character who was likeable and was on the run. Rhys was also a likeable alpha male and the two of them had great chemistry. The story was great and had fun secondary characters as well as great descriptions of the people and places. I love the boxsets as it allows me to find new authors.

I have only read Jane Hinchey's "Under A Darkened Moon." It is a spin-off from her Awakening series, but it is not necessary that you have read that series as even though some of the characters from it are in the story, they are not major players. Kasie is on the run from her former pack, the reasons will remain a mystery until near the end of the story. She cannot afford to stay in one place for long, and she sure does not want to endanger others if she is found. She especially would not want to bring danger to Rhys, she has no idea he is an Alpha or she would have avoided him completely. Three months later when she totals her transportation near the town where Rhys lives she is not entirely unhappy to see him again, until she learns who he really is. Enjoy the story. He played a part in Georgia's story but I wished he appeared more often in the books so I was looking forward to reading a book about him. I was not disappointed at all by this tale of an endearing Alpha and the woman who captivates him at first sight. Kasie comes with a past that means she can't, and isn't able, to trust anybody, not even the man who is her destined mate. Rhys just wants to take care of her. Jane weaves an enchanting tale that I couldn't put down till I'd finished it. Now I need a series about Rhys and his pack! I recommend you read the Awakening series first if possible, not just because you will recognise a few characters from that in this, but because it is fascinating, different and enjoyable. However, Under A Darkened Moon works perfectly well as a standalone and is equally enjoyable. I received an ARC of this story from Jane Hinchey but have voluntarily decided to review it and the opinions are my own.
