Murder in Seattle is the third book I've read in Northwest Mystery series by Dianne Harmon. The series follows the life and adventures of Dee Dee Wilson. In this installment, Dee Dee's younger sister Roz Lawson is about to marry Clark Blackstock. After a beautiful wedding and reception, Vinny is discovered dead! Fingers point to Clark since he is Vinny's sole heir. Vinny's right hand man Al De Duco enlists the help of Dee Dee and Jack to solve the murder and keep Clark out of jail! Once again, Harman does a wonderful job providing possible suspects and their reasons for wanting the victim dead. I really enjoy reading this series and look forward to reading future installments to see what the main characters get up to next!

In my humble opinion this is one of the best novels yet by Dianne Harman in her cozy series! I have a feeling the Blue Coyote Motel will always be my absolute favorite-if you haven't read it you should!!). And yes--I have read most if not all her books and honestly loved them all. There are a lot of twists and turns in this one and you will be amazed at the strange bedfellows it takes to solve the murder of a member of the mob whose nephew is marrying DeeDee's little sister! I have read the majority of Dianne Harman's books. This is the third book in this series. This book starts out a little differently by revealing the murder first. Typical of Dianne Harman's books is you don't know who the murderer is. There are always a number of suspects then when questioned the subjects are eliminated as subjects. In this story, DeeDee's sister is getting married and the groom's uncle is murdered leaving the groom as the suspect. Dee Dee and Roz try to prove Clark is not a murderer. Dee Dee at Roz and Clark's wedding. Clark's uncle is paying for the whole wedding. Roz tells Dee Dee that Uncle Vinney was retired from the mob. Hours after the wedding Uncle Vinney is found floating in the lake at the wedding venue by his body guard Al. So who killed Uncle Vinney? The suspect list get longer and longer. Is this mob hit, a revenge or is it for another reason. Need to read to find out. As always the recipes are awesome. Murder in Seattle This is another of Dianne Nathan's books set in the Seattle and Bainbridge Island area. The author uses the same plot and characters time and time again in this series. She starts with an actual murder, then introduces each of the characters with possible motives and finally brings the story all together to solve the murder. Books are entertaining and quick reads but predictable. Murder in Seattle This is another of Dianne Nathan's books set in the Seattle and Bainbridge Island area. In this series most of the suspects are bitter, angry, resentful, some feel entitlement, nonw of them will take responsibility for their actions or their circumstances in life. But... as the story progresses some of these suspects actually start learning from their mistakes and overcoming their problems and wanting to change. I really like this series a whole lot!!! I think Ms Harman is a really terrific writer and I am so glad I found this series!!

This is the 3rd in the series. The main characters are DeeDee, Jake, her sister Roz and Al. Roz gets married to Clark and that same night her new hubby's uncle is murdered. Of course everyone thinks Clark did it because his uncle was very rich. Al sets off the find the killer and avenge his boss's life before the cops can figure out a way to pin it all on Clark. Loved It I love DeeDee, Jake and Balto. They're quite the crime solving trio. I must admit that I was sorry to see Al go off the grid because I liked him. Hopefully we'll see him again in a future book. Loved It I love DeeDee, Jake and Balto. They're quite the crime solving trio. A Jealous Heart An excellent and fast read. A real page Turner! Once I started reading I just had to finish. A fascinating cast of characters including an old time mob cohort who is rather admirable and with his own set of ethics.

Not compelling. Abrupt ending - I thought we were just getting started, then boom, it's over. No tension or even suspense really. Characters were not fleshed-out. Not compelling.
