Long live Murland and his crew of misfits. Omg. It was awesome. I read the first one and was totally dumbfounded at the genius mind that brought forth the awesome page after page of characters and the adventures they were going through. I read book two and laughed all the way through it once again sharing the adventures of this zany crew. Then three came out while I was reading the Nameless Dwarf. I dropped it right in the middle and grabbed book three to reacquaint myself with all my old friends Long live Murland and his crew of misfits. Omg. It was awesome. As I drew near the end of book three I was wondering how it was going to end only to find book four is on the way. A thousand and more cheers to the absolutely twisted, and politically correct, and ever so politically incorrect mind of Michael James Ploof.

Can't wait for the next one!!!! Yes I know this book just came out but I am already hungry for the next book in the series :) I have thoroughly fallen in love with the characters, laughed hysterically at all of the "modern day" jokes, and have just really had a wonderful time exploring this world :) I recommend this book and this series to absolutely everybody regardless of what your favorite genre is :) I liken it a bit to "The Princess Bride"; it doesn't fit into any one genre, and that, my fri Can't wait for the next one!!!! I was a little bit disappointed in this 3rd book. I still love the characters, the puns, the humor and the action of the books, but this one was just a wrap up after the quest was done. Hard to explain without giving everything away... I thought the whole book would have been a good finish to the 2nd book without making it a separate 3rd book. I'm looking forward to the 4th book. I think a movie is possible (ala Princess Bride) Inconceivable! DSJ I was a little bit disappointed in this 3rd book. Excellent end to the initial story arc! Legend of Drak'Noir was a serious improvement over the 2nd book and not nearly as kitsch or cliche as the two previous installments. Although, I was bit concerned about the pending fourth novel -- I was quite pleased that there is some resolution. However, it is nicely set up for follow on stories. Funny cheesy and entertaining Normally I wouldn't like such a cheesy story but for some reason it works, these books have made me giggle in such a dark time in my life and for that I thank you. Word choices If you can write fuck, you can write penis. I'm so sick of fantasy authors saying shit like sex, member, man/womanhood, lower lips etc. JUST SAY PENIS OR VAGINA. These books aren't even serious fantasy. Good stuff, but if you make this one change it'll be perfect. Word choices If you can write fuck, you can write penis. A fun book to read. I enjoyed the simple humour of this series, nicely tempered with twists and turns along the way. I look forward to the next one.

My new favorite author Terrific imagination, lots of fun without being too trite or cutesy. I love a book that blends heroism, adventure, New challenges and a good ending.

Read 1&2 before you read 3. And if it has been a while, skim 2 again because I forgot all kinds of enemies and deals made. This continues and partially finishes the Champion of the Dragon fantasy satire. It was much longer than the others but packed full of action and adventure. Still I felt it was a bit too convoluted and long. The 5 champions, now knowing that they are meant to be fodder, still endure and want to fight the dragon for real. We get much more emotional insight into the characters Read 1&2 before you read 3. And if it has been a while, skim 2 again because I forgot all kinds of enemies and deals made. Still I felt it was a bit too convoluted and long. The 5 champions, now knowing that they are meant to be fodder, still endure and want to fight the dragon for real. We get much more emotional insight into the characters and the main humor now comes through Wendell and Kazimir and Baby Zuul. I liked the book, and the ending satisfies, but it did not hold my attention as much as Books 1&2. The twist of how they defeat the dragon was wonderful...and no that’s not a spoiler...all fantasy books defeat the dragon if it’s an evil one. The book leaves us hanging on Murland and Baby Zuul’s supposed showdown. As it turns out, there is a 4th book beyond the trilogy. Stay tuned! Or read my review of that one. By the way, the humorous nods to Star Wars, Harry Potter, and other pop culture are good! Slipped in or strongly played up, these parts I liked and enjoyed the best.

This book was awesome. I couldn't put it down and couldn't stop laughing. I would have read it in one day, but I'm an adult and have to do adult things and couldn't just sit around reading all day (though I wanted to). I'm loving this. This should be recommended reading for everyone, especially uptight bosses who think they know everything and are better than everyone else. This book was awesome.
