⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱*Not all that bad*⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱ Surprisingly, it wasn't as bad as I first thought it would be. This was, after all, my first mpreg book... Alpha leader of Eden City William ‘Will’ (28) and Omega Jake Torres (22) met when Jake ask for permission to stay in Eden City and since Will want nothing to do with Omegas - been there, done that, never again - he just gives him the permission with a warning; you're on your own. However, when Jake gets taken, Will goes against everything he has decided on and rescues him. Offers him a place to stay and work until he's back on his feet. That changes however when a secret is revealed and and things becomes more complicated. There's also the growing attraction towards each other and growing danger... “You’re mine now,” he said, leaning in to lick the skin around Jake’s navel, watching Jake’s eyes slide closed at the sensation. “Every inch of you belongs to me, not just outside but inside as well.” Overall, I actually enjoyed it. Not all that much, but enough that I was pleasantly surprised and I would definitely consider continuing this series. If there will be more, of course. However, there was something that really bothered my - practically annoying the living hell out of me - and that was the fact that the unborn child wasn't appreciated enough. Sure, he/she was still in the stomach, but I had expected some more... love towards the unborn baby. I understand the awful situation of how the child was conceived, but Jake decided to keep it, and protect it, yet, I didn't feel his love. I'm sure it wasn't attended to be that way when Claire Cullen wrote it, but it was how I felt. Which was so sad, because the book lost a bit of its appeal and lost a full star from me. At least there wasn't any insta-love, which I was afraid of. “It’s more than I ever knew I could have. Everything has just kind of fallen into place.” “That’s because we fell together,” Will replied, “and into each other’s arms.” “Like we were meant for each other,” Quick basic facts: Genre: - (Adult) Paranormal Romance (M/M) Series: - Series (Standalone), Book One. Love triangle? - (view spoiler)[No. (hide spoiler)] Cheating? - (view spoiler)[No. (hide spoiler)] HEA? - (view spoiler)[Yes. (hide spoiler)] Favorite character? - Jake Torres, I think. Would I read more by this author/or of series? - Sure. Would I recommend this book/series? - Sure. Will I read this again in the future? - Unsure, though probably not. Rating - 2.5/3 stars.

I thought that this was a great new start to this series! It definitely sets things up nicely for future books by the end of this one. I adored Jake, I wanted to just give him a hug and protect him and make sure he had the happiest of HEA endings because he deserves it. This author is really great at writing the abused/hurt omega running from a crappy pack finds the alpha of his dreams trope, and man it just pulls at my heartstrings every time. Great writing, always lots of emotion, and engaging story as well. Eden City sounds rough, like it's not going to be a whole lot better for omegas, but I think with Will's family running the city more efficiently, and with Will and Jake's safe house for omegas being set up, that it will get better. I look forward to more stories and can't wait for what comes next. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I'm usually not one for mpreg shifter "MM" (gay) romance reading, I generally find them to be full of editing issues with sex galore to the detriment of any plot. That wasn't the case with this book. It's inexpensive - currently US$0.79 or AUS$1.04 - and I felt in the mood to give another one a shot. I hit this book at the right time for my reading mood and I was pleasantly surprised, really enjoying it. There is nothing particularly new about it but it's light and easy reading. There's not a lot of specific wolf shifter action or lore or world building. It was Alpha/Omega-centric and old-school romance novel-esque. It is a true standalone, compete with a happy ending. I'll read more in the series as it progresses and as my mood dictates. I'd like to see how Jake and Will are going. Longer review at -

2.5 stars I would have enjoyed this more if the characters (main and secondary) weren't so boring. I found their interaction with one another to be dispassionate, and their reaction to what was going on around them lackluster. It's a shame because the story is an interesting one but without the right characters it falls flat. 2.5 stars I would have enjoyed this more if the characters (main and secondary) weren't so boring. This is a good start to a new series. Our Omega Jake takes all kinds of abuse, and escapes to Eden City where unfortunately his luck does not turn. This is a quick, simple story about turning the City around and giving Omegas a safe haven to live and thrive.

3 stars. This was a lot sadder than what I’ve come to expect from Claire Cullen. The ending was fab of course but to get there was a bit of a journey.

3.8 stars! This is a pretty quick and Sweet Mates story! I enjoyed this! I liked that the romance between the MCs took some time to develop, so it wasn't (exactly) Insta-Love (though the attraction was there since day one), as it usually is in these kinds of books. I, mostly, liked how our MC, Jake, an Omega, was independent, brave and strong willed! I liked that, although he had the Hots for Will, an Alpha, he was still his own person and not overly dependent of Will. Also, Will and Jake have a b 3.8 stars! Will let's Jake have a voice in everything they do, and he actually listens to what Jake has to say; not caring for labels like Alpha or Omega (and prejudiced ideas or roles associated to these labels.) Overall, this is a enjoyable, quick read about the shifter world; Omegas and Alphas; and, of course, Mates.

I liked this story but I missed the "true mate" aspect of a lot of shifter books. I like shifters to be OTT in their attraction. In this shifter universe, they seemed to just choose someone. I didn't feel that overwhelming attraction between the 2 MC's. I liked this story but I missed the "true mate" aspect of a lot of shifter books. I like shifters to be OTT in their attraction. FABULOUS INTRODUCTION Omega Haven sounds like it's going to impact the shifter culture in ways we have yet to see. This was a fabulous introduction to the packs that surround Eden City. Will is the unsuspecting Alpha, who couldn't possibly care less. He's just putting in time until his family decide who they want the true Alpha to be. Jake is determined to make it on his own in Eden City. He knows all he has to do is get a job, work hard and stay out of trouble. Weeks later, when he can't get hired, he's out of money and out of luck, the first predator gets their hooks into him. The only one that can save him is Will. This is a fantastic story that is filled with interesting characters that seem to have endless stories to tell. I think this is going to be a great series with many different characters we're going to fall in love with. I can't wait to see what The Omega Haven Series has to offer. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!

👏FANTASTIC START TO A NEW SERIES!👏 👍 FALLING TOGETHER is a well-written book with a fully developed storyline that provides readers with a complete story in this first book in addition to setting the stage for future books in this series. So.....Yes, this book can be read as a standalone --- BUT (because of the quality of the writing and the author's skills at developing the overall storyline) most readers will likely want to read future books of this series. 📚 If you enjoy books in this genre, I 👏FANTASTIC START TO A NEW SERIES!👏 👍 FALLING TOGETHER is a well-written book with a fully developed storyline that provides readers with a complete story in this first book in addition to setting the stage for future books in this series. This is the first book in a new series, and I'm already really looking forward to the next one! The writing was good, and I love the setup: The main character from this book, an Omega who has suffered a lot of abuse, becomes the head of an Omega refuge which no doubt will figure prominently in the following books. In this book, I love how the crusty Alpha slowly melts for his Omega. What a beginner for a series. I liked the fact the series is angsty but full of a world where not everything is peach and roses. You have the Alphas and Omegas and even the Betas but mostly you have a secret world where Omegas have a life of misery and prostitution, where some look for it but others fall on lies. I loved Jake, he was hardworking and fair, and I loved Will. Will who didn't want to get into it but at the end did, and I loved the fact the baby wasn't Will but that didn't stop him f What a beginner for a series. Good start Claire Cullen hasn't worked for me for awhile so I'm mighty pleased that this was a good one. I would say this has a very busy plot. But that's not a bad thing. I just wish it would have some unique take on werewolves other than all the usual tropes. Looking forward to the next book in this series! This was different... Most shifter with Mpreg follow a certain pattern. Fated mates, mating bites, knotting, the omega self lubricating and heats. The only thing we got in this story was a mention of a heat that we didn’t get to see or experience. Most of those things are what I LOVE about shifter books. The story was still good but not what I expected.

Shifter MPREG m/m romance 3 stars This is a unique take on shifters in the city. In a lot of ways this book reminds me of omegaverse stories but these are wolf shifters living in a city. This book contains dark content including trafficking and sex slavery. This was a good book but not exceptional.

Well Done Here’s a different shifter world view, well defined with a bit of roughness still in place. Good character development though a bit more background history would have been nice. The story is a good start on a new series, this book ends on a promise for the future.
