The world is broken, and I'm the one who broke it. To say that everyone is a little annoyed at me is an understatement. That's why I'm helping my father with his rebellion, trying to convince everyone - supernaturals and humans alike - that we can all live in this strange new world without the magic spell that kept us apart. Except I'm not so sure we can. Especially when my The world is broken, and I'm the one who broke it. To say that everyone is a little annoyed at me is an understatement. Now I've got a massive target on my dragon-sized head and nowhere to run. Old allies have turned into enemies, and I don't know who to trust. How am I going to convince everyone to put down their weapons and work together, while avoiding a bullet to the head? I don't know, but I have to figure it out... fast.

After the cliffhanger in the last book, I was so anxious to read this, and I absolutely loved it. In this installment, Mei has to deal with the consequences of bringing down the spell web, and wow there are some very intense moments; however, if you are like me, you will find yourself silently cheering Mei on throughout each difficult situation. Trudi has perfected Mei’s character to where I feel such an intense connection with her, causing me to have strong emotional reactions to all of the good and bad Mei experiences. Vincent’s evilness is at its ultimate high in this book, and I was constantly nervous while anticipating his actions throughout the story. We meet some new shady characters that I had fun questioning whether or not to trust alongside Mei. We also gain some new characters that I immediately found endearing (as with all of Trudi’s characters); Zane being one of them. What I love most about all of Trudi’s series is her ability to create such unique worlds that are fully independent of each other. The Magic Carnival Series takes the (unfortunately) now dated carnival circuit and transforms it into modern times with beautiful mystical components and an amazing cast of characters. The Firecaller Series is a suspenseful fantasy involving creepy creatures, an eerie forest, and some very eccentric characters. The Dragon Rising Series takes us all over the globe as we meet complex supernatural beings and focuses significantly on the unjust political system involving the relationships between their kind and humans. I highly recommend each of Trudi Jaye’s series if you have not read them yet! I am most excited to see that it appears this series is going to continue! We are not left with a cliffhanger in this installment, but I am still eager to find out what happens next. I received a copy of this book and volunteered to review it.

3 & 1/2 stars rounded up. While the book had good moments, there were some moments that I really didn't enjoy. I felt this book dragged in places and actually lost my attention a time or two and left me not really caring what happened. The romance was still on the light side, definitely not the focal point of the whole series, enough that I question it being considered a romance. I think the conflict seemed to resolve oddly at the end, almost rushed, just to get it done -sort of thing. Mei & Seth 3 & 1/2 stars rounded up. Mei & Seth just seem to have a relationship suddenly at the end and they really didn't get to a point that I thought they had a real relationship ever, and from the end of this book there's a blurb for a book 4, though this has an ending that feels like a completed end, not like another book is needed in the series. I won't be reading book 4, as I'm just not interested anymore, I didn't end up feeling good about the whole series in general, though I don't regret reading the 3 books.

Like Riding A Rollercoaster! If you loved melodrama's like the Perils Of Pauline, you will totally freak out at the twists and turns of this series. I prefer to see stories where the heroines and heroes make the best of bad situations and keep on winning against adversity. Otherwise all the reader gets is a bumpy ride with no real satisfaction. This series provides a thrill a minute, but so does a root canal. If you are into pain and suffering, Trudy can give it to you, real hard. I read three volu Like Riding A Rollercoaster! I read three volumes hoping for an uptick and am giving up while I am still able to admire her excellent writing skills.

A wanted dragon And no, not as a mate or a criminal. For some reason, Vincent from Earthbound has focused on capturing Mei even before she realized she was a dragon shifter. This time in his obsession with her will lead close to war between humans and supes. Great plot and characters, with fast paced action and twists. Loved it!

Ok not great, read first 3 books in series, didn't bother continuing, but I may go back in the future. Ok not great, read first 3 books in series, didn't bother continuing, but I may go back in the future.

Wow I love it. The ending was so satisfying. I was never sure what would happen. Super Heroes and Super Villains have super satisfying battles.
