This crossover tie in whatever was better than the one for Gold, a surprise to be certain, but still I wish marvel would just leave shit alone. Let the writer tell the story they want, don't go bogging them down with shitty crossovers. If I wanted to read Secret Empire; I'd pick it up. Ugh. I hate this event so much for what they are doing to the X-Men. What the heck??! I'm glad Blue team is fighting for good, but tell me some of these guys are brainwashed. So ridiculous. Ugh. It really was too much to hope for. I thought that by keeping away from all things Avengers I could hide from Spencer's mountain of failure. Now Secret Empire has spilled over into the X-Men line (lines? I stopped reading X-Men: Gold so idk if it's infected that series too). Even just the hint of Hydra had me sighing in disappointment. I already have issue #8. Let's see how bad this can get. It really was too much to hope for. I thought that by keeping away from all things Avengers I could hide from Spencer's mountain of failure. And now the X-Men are in California, fighting other mutants while Captain America leads Hydra who is in charge of the US. Huh. This is the only comic book series that I'm closely following right now so I'm a bit confused (though I do know about the Hydra thing and Captain America, one would have to live under a rock to not have heard about it). Still, I do like the story, especially Havok's appearance and the ending with Scott and Emma. Okay, so I am really confused. It feels like I'm missing a big chunk of information from the last issue to this one. Apparently it's a tie-in? One thing I really don't like about Marvel is that if you don't read all of the big events, you get confused. I really don't know if I'll continue reading, because I am confused AF and not really interested in this series enough to go back and fill in the gaps. Okay, so I am really confused.
