Oh, and Kester is missing. He was supposedly figuring out why the dragons wanted her and had traveled to Avalon to get answers. So, Ursula and Bael follow. Ursula finds out some interesting tidbits about her past that distract her from the task, but she still walks away from Avalon with Excalibur (the only sword that can kill a dragon). (view spoiler)[ There's a big bit about her potential destiny and whatnot before she loses the sword to the Drake and is captured by Abrax in the scuffle. I wonder what he wants with her? (hide spoiler)] This installment seemed to be a little off track from what I expected but was still very entertaining. Ursula and Bael are getting to know each other and trust each other a little more, but are completely unwilling to admit any feelings they have so tension is building. I'm shipping them at this point and want to see things develop. Perhaps in book 4?

DNF I grew tired of the MC being ignorant on the topic of herself. I was 3 books in passed 50% & the populace in its entirety seemed to know more about the MC then she did. It surpassed a mystery straight into a tiresome mess. Will not continue the series simply bc i don’t have the patience to continue it.

Where the heck did they come from and why? There was an 'incident' with a dragon in book no 2 but coming back to a completely different reality? What? Also... what is going on with Avalon, Excalibur or Darkling? For two books all this is hidden and when we're 3/4 in a series we only find this out? I'm sorry but I don't understand. Nevertheless it is a great writing and even though I am left ekhem... surprised as hell with how this is going I did enjoy this. I just don't feel like this is a part of the same series. What else this series is going to bring us? For now I'll take a break but stay tuned....

What a thrilling story! It was really exciting, and I love Bael x Ursula! We get to learn more about both of their histories, and what Ursula really is. Bael is also just really sweet and supportive. I ship them so hard. Ursula continues to amaze with her abilities. Summary: Exciting story Kickass heroine Good romance development

Very mysterious Ursula seems to get into more trouble after every story. This time she is back on Earth but it isn't the same with dragons and demons all over. On top of all that she also has a bounty on her head because the dragons are looking for her. The mystery surrounding her is still frustratingly unanswered and as she learns something about herself, more questions arise. I think my favorite part was her time with Merlin in Avalon. That was pretty awesome. I love Arthurian tales. Can't wait Very mysterious Ursula seems to get into more trouble after every story. I continue to read this series in hopes that it would get better, it didn’t. It has all the right elements to make an epic story but falls short every time. The whole amnesia thing is really annoying since everyone else knows what’s going on. It’s not terrible, it’s not good either; just a meh story I’ll completely forget about and need to reread my own review to remember I did in fact read this once upon a time.

Ah, this book was so amazing I don't even know where to start! I'm going to try to describe all the wonderfulness of this book without spoilers. Since I absolutely hate it when you typically spend the first couple chapters of a new book in a series recapping the previous events, I love the way this is written even more because you don't waste pages going over stuff you already know. You jump right into the story and man is it a good one! The story flows with the perfect amount of mystery and revelations. I was anxious the entire book to find out more about Ursula's past and while some is revealed there is still enough left unsaid to be revealed later. Bael is so swoon worthy, but you can absolutely tell he's hiding some dark secrets too. It was perfect to see their relationship grow and change throughout the story. I have to say I didn't see some of the events that unfolded coming which was nice because I hate it when books are completely predictable. All in all this was a fantastic read! I seriously cannot wait for the next installment!! **I received and ARC in exchange for and honest review**

Luckily Bael is still on her side and without him, I'm not sure she would survive so well on her own, even though she is stronger than she looks and has a great fighter spirit! She also has the help from both Zee and Cera this time - I do love Cera's dress making/stylist designs! I do like Ursula; she is strong-willed and will do anything for her friends and to save the world, even if it means making snap decisions that could end her life. I think she is slowly beginning to show her true feeling for Bael as well, even though she really knows their engagement is just a ploy and that being on opposite sides of the war between Fire and Night they shouldn't be together. Doesn't mean they won't be, right?! On to Book 4 to finish the series!

Even lacking half his mojo the guy is fantastic! There is still much drawing me in that I need answers to, I'm hooked. This series is fast paced, has no dead zones and mysteries off the wazooo! A very enjoyable series so far!

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. I liked the book, but I’m incredibly frustrated at the pacing. Specific events seem not to be a big deal. This needs a bit better continuity. Plus if we are going to have Bael be interested in Ursula he could show it, answer her questions and such. The authors also like to be repetitive sometimes which I don’t like. I still don’t feel I know enough for this being book 3. By now she should either have a clue of who she is or something. I’m real irritated here. And each book ends with a cliff hanger that doesn’t exactly complete the story. Sure she found Kester but they are in quite the predicament. This is annoying. I will give it one more book, I need larger bread crumbs.

DNF The premise to the series was promising. The 1st book started slow but it was OK. The second book had a lot more action but the plot could have been better in so many ways. Bael was still the silent demon steamrolling our heroine and hiding pretty much everything. We know nothing about him. Ursula was worse; she just lets herself be steamrolled by everyone around her. It's like she's on a leash and everyone gets a turn to jerk her in one direction or the other. She doesn't even try to get control of any situation. Even Nimue, Merlin and the Lady of the Lake were disappointing. For such powerful creatures they were surely cowards.

No, no, no! It's over already? I need more Bael and Ursala!! I can't believe I'm already at the end of the book and I'm left with a bunch of questions and ideas, but I want more now. The dragons were a surprise and I look forward to seeing how that story arcs. I can't write anything bad about this except I want the next book now. I' No, no, no! It's over already? Ursula's Story Continues Not my favorite so far in the series... But it's still a good adventure. You can clearly tell that this book is a major set up for the finale, and I'm pretty excited for it. The mythology introduced in this book is probably the strongest aspect of the story. Dragon apocalypse, a hidden island, a certain sword in a certain stone. All great stuff. And it was great to see Ursula FINALLY getting to be (and to realize that she is) the badass that will rise to the top. This one Ursula's Story Continues Not my favorite so far in the series... Great Series! I have given five stars to every book in the series. I have enjoyed this series, because Ursula is not your typical bad-ass female in most books right now. She is strong and a bad-ass, but requires some assistance at times. Between the dragons, fae, shadow gods and the ultra sexey Bael. It isn't always easy to follow the right path. I love the world, but the character development was somewhat lacking in this installment. Bael was suddenly super helpful and gentle, which I'm not opposed to, but it didn't seem in keeping with his personality in the second book. There were grammar errors, and the book left a lot of unanswered questions, to the point where it was unclear what was going on. I will read the fourth book in the hopes that the author ties these plot lines together to make a congruent story. There are still too many unanswered questions about Ursula's past. Questions that I desperately wish were answered in Primeval Magic. Furthermore, the romance between Ursula and Bael is disappointing. It feels underdeveloped with all the secrets and unsolved problems from their pasts. And personally, the tension and uninvited physical attraction between the two is not good enough for me. I need to see connection and wholehearted desire before I'm going to ship Ursula and Bael. Talk about intense I can’t get enough of this series!! I’m almost hesitant in reading the last book, but with that ending?! So many layers revealed and I can’t wait to see what’s next with Ursula, Bael, Kester, Cera...and where did Zee go? I was at the edge of my seat the entire time. Definitely an exciting addition to this series. Highly recommend this series and high praise to both C and N!!
