During the pre–production party, arranged to welcome Arthur Chamberlain, who will play Othello, Arthur keels over dead. Was it a heart attack? Was it murder? Who might want him dead and why? Will Sheriff Darwin Scholl be able to unravel all the clues? Will Darwin appreciate it if Dani also investigates? Nancy McGovern spins a wonderful tale about people who could well be your neighbors, or members of your own family. All characters, not just the main ones have personalities, loves, hates, problems, friends, and enemies. This is a wonderful book that catches the reader and doesn’t want to release them. The chapters are short enough to keep you reading, sometimes long into the night. But like any good “who-done-it”, clues are dropped often and you have to pay attention to avoid missing them. Although the main mystery is solved, there are enough minor details left remaining at the end of the book to entice you to grab the next book in the series as quickly as possible. I received an advanced copy of this book from the author, but the review is entirely my own.

My brain is annoyed The film is cylindrical. Still on the roll. She tore a section of it off. But if it's developed, why is it on a roll? Even home developing removes it from the roll and normal is to cut it into sections and make contact sheet. He wouldn't have had "a roll of film" proving his innocence... I enjoyed this cozy mystery and might have to check out some other books by this author. It was fun and easy to read with a nice cast of characters. A small town is putting on a Shakespearean play only for the main actor to be murdered but with so many secrets and lies it is hard to tell who the guilty culprit is. The murder isn't the only mystery going on in the small town as there also seems to be a very dangerous thief who will stop at nothing to get what he or she wants. Enjoyable mystery. Dani Hedley is a fashion and travel photographer and she travels all over the world for her assignments. Once, she comes back to her home town for the promotion of an event there. That was when the actor playing a part in the play drops dead. The cosy mystery starts very well. I particularly enjoyed the characters and their conversation with each other. The plot is filled with humour and had enough twists and turns to keep me interested till the very end.

This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

A definite do not miss This engrossing new series by an established author is decidedly one I am very glad I took the time to check out. Well developed character definition stands out and I couldn't put either the first or second book down. Don't miss this series! One complaint...I can't wait for the next one so please write faster... Better, if not great Far fewer quality issues in this one than the first book, so that was an improvement. Story was alright, it felt more overly complicated than necessary. Better ways to build a mystery.

Dani returns once more to Innocence where mystery awaits her again. This time she has to untangle all of the past that spreads its tentacles into the current mystery. Who has a motive, and why are they stealing film and photographs? Enjoy, have you figured it out yet?

Shot & Framed book 2 Another great read by Nancy McGovern. Dani is busy in her hometown of Innocence with murder and secrets. Many interesting folks for her to worry about. She is getting closer to the sheriff too. Kept me guessing until the end.

Definitely a worthy read This is her second book in the series and I can't wait for the third, fourth fifth and soon. It takes a lot to create a series and keep it interesting, I have no doubt that Ms. McGovern will exceed our expectations! Past or present - what is the motive? An okay read! All the components where there but the thrill wasn't. Can an old mystery be the cause of new murder? The characters are good but again. Something is missing from the mix. A solid cozy but not exceptional. Past or present - what is the motive? An okay read! All the components where there but the thrill wasn't.
