It’s got a beautiful illustration, as well as a detail story on the growing process of a caterpillar into a butterfly. The illustration is quite detail and the colors is very bright and contrast. The process of when the caterpillar is changing into a cocoon is told in a friendly yet scientific way. How the caterpillar is feeling hungry and sleepy or when he feels that his skin is too tight and he need to shed it. The story is told in a way that children could easily understand or relate to it. As parents, we could also explain to them the way the growing process went and connect it with everyday life. This is a book I would love to tell my boy when he grows up. Recommend for those who love to read biology in a fun way with good and detailed illustration to explain things.

This story is told from the viewpoint of a caterpillar named Cutter. The story works its way through Cutter’s life cycle. We get to read about his life as a caterpillar and the changes he went through to become a butterfly. This story would work well with the science curriculum (life cycles). It was very informative and provided lots of details on the life cycle process. There was a lot of writing on each page which may make it difficult for younger kids to stay focussed. This is a great picture book that young children will enjoy. It's told from the view point of Cutter, the caterpillar. As the story unfolds you learn wonderful facts about caterpillars and the amazing transformation that they go through to become butterflies. My sister is due with her first child in May of 2018... I started collecting childrens books the day I found out that I was going to be an aunt! I enjoyed this book and have added it to that collection.
