She had promised his memory she would become the warrior he was meant to be. She worked hard and fought harder till she was the head warrior of her tribe. Every brave in the tribe was intimidated by her and she liked it like that. One day her father, the Chief declared he had arranged a joining between her and the son of another tribe’s chief. What happens next will make you laugh, cry and want to be her as she meets the man she is to call husband. Wild Wolf: His father has just told him he is to enter into an arranged joining with the daughter of the Chief from the tribe to the east of them. No one will tell him anything about her only she is hard to handle. He knows what kind of wife he wants and from all that is said, he feels this is not her. He plans to find a second wife before he is even joined to the first. This creates a lot of problems for ‘him’. Can the two of them work it out to help save their people or will they give up and go different directions?

This could have been a nice story. Do these people have editors, or at least proof-readers? The spelling errors, lack of correct grammar and inconsistencies made reading the book very difficult. I found myself constantly having to go back and re-read sentences and even paragraphs because the errors changed the meaning of what was being presented. I am assuming that this was translated by a non-English speaking person as they couldn't get the tenses and punctuation correct. I was very disappointe This could have been a nice story. There were also many inconsistencies in Native American facts, such as a character saying that they "prayed to god", Natives believed in many spirits, but not one God. I think the author is American, so what happened here???

OH my! Clunky diction and flat characters, no descriptions or setting... Everything feels like a blank script. The idea and concept is lovely, but the execution is sorely lacking. You'd be better off reading "Beneath the Blackberry Moon" by April Gardner. If Gardner's is a full color 3D work of fiction, then Walkers is a plot line in black and white. OH my! Good Story, Poorly Written I try not to be too picky about grammatical errors but this writing got to me. It is a shame for creativity to be over-shadowed by so many errors. I stuck with the book but am undecided about reading more by Ms. Walker.

wild wolf's dream I like all these Native America stories. They were before the white European destroyed a beautiful way of life. Interesting This is a cute story. I liked the Native American touch, but I don't know that it has much historical value. It also needs some serious editing. That said I enjoyed it enough to get the next book. Interesting This is a cute story. I liked the Native American touch, but I don't know that it has much historical value.
