Warning: This is a LOT to digest....read slowly. Not EVERYTHING Lincoln wrote is in this one, but there is quite a lot. Stump speeches, the Lincoln- Douglas debates (Douglas was a @$!?), the Cooper Institute speech, etc. There are a few big letters missing, but there are two bios to compensate. Some apotheosis is inevitable in the bios, but you do get a sense for the man. Highly recommended.

I love biographies. This one gives a great view of each person. I would recommend it to anyone even if u are not a history fan.

Many different points of view, and a treasure trove of information. This is a wonderful book for reference when teaching high school essay writing.
