Single mom, Hope, writes a message to her knight in shining armor to come riding in on a white steed. She tosses the bottle in the ocean where a denim-clad rancher finds it while fishing with his dad. He brings the bottle home to reside in a barn with several noble steeds, including his, though not white. Hope has her hands full with 8-yr old Jayden lashing out with abandonment issues caused first by his no-good father, then by Hope's recent ex-boyfriend. She's afraid of getting close to anyone and what it would mean to Jayden when things inevitably fell apart. Chase is willing to do whatever it takes and he's not about to give up on them. I really enjoyed Chase, what a great guy! Hope, while I understood her protective nature, she sort of *was* using Jayden as an excuse to try to keep things at arm's length. The chemistry and compatibility was there. Matt and Marni made for excellent entertainment. Secondaries provided support without becoming too overwhelming. Cast dialogue and interactions were natural and believable. The plot contained enough content and flowed nicely; however, I felt that the conclusion was extremely abrupt and unfinished, leaving only the barest of implied HEAs. Predictability was low. Overall, I'd prefer it had a more solid and fleshed out ending, but it was not bad. The story, as a whole, was enjoyable & it was a pleasure to read. I'd recommend this one and it's entire series to fans of sweet and/or wholesome contemporary romance, light beach reads, or quick lunch hour romances. . Ailenn Fish is a new author to me. I enjoyed this story of Hope and Chase. Hope is very weary about love and relationships. She wants love but her husband left her and their son for another woman. Every relationship after that the man left and all this leaving has been very hard on Jaydan their son. He is acting out in school and becoming the school bully. Hope is the head librarian at the same elementary school her son attends. He is acting out in school and becoming the school bully. Hope is the head librarian at the same elementary school her son attends. When Hope went on a vacation with her online romance reading group they decided to all write letters to their ideal man they put them in bottles and through them on the ocean. Chase found hers on a fishing trip with his dad in the Gulf of Mexico. He read the letter but thought it was strange but he kept it anyway. Now it is a reminder of that trip as it was his last with his dad before he died. He finally decides to email her. Hope and Chase end up email at first in a fantasy take since she address her letter to Sir Galahad. They did this for a bit until he has to come to her state of Missouri to look at cattle he wants to buy. They meet. Then the continue with texts and emails and then phone calls. He has a cattle ranch in the mountains east of LA. It seems like it is going to be impossible relationship if it becomes one. Is it possible for them to really have a relationship of any kind? Can she let go of her worry about her son and any relationship that goes away when the man leaves? Can Jaydan get rid of his hostility? I really loved this story with great characters, wonderful relationships and a romance that is beautiful to read about. I was a little disappointed in the ending. I felt there should have been at least an epilogue so we know what happens beyond the ending. It left a lot hanging their what we can't really figure out. The only thing I can think of is maybe Aileen might have plans for another book with these characters, at least I hope so as I really want to know how it turns out. I thankfully accepted this ARC from the author and this is my honest review. I gave it five stars even though I was disappointed in the ending or lack of another chapter or epilogue because the rest of the story was one I couldn't put down. It is a good story

I've enjoyed each Beach Bride book that I have read so far! The one thing that I enjoy most is that each story is so different! Each author takes the basic premise (a book club member puts a message in a bottle during their retreat and throws the bottle in the ocean) and then the bottle is found by someone and that's the story! She's the school librarian so it's somewhat of an embarrassment to her because the principal is always calling her in to talk to her about it! I really felt for Hope. Her son first had a hard time with the divorce of his parents and then when his mom (Hope) dated again and broke up with her boyfriend, he had a hard time once again because he liked the boyfriend! Children are always suffer in these situations! Out of the blue, Hope receives an email from the man who found her "message in the bottle" from her book club retreat which was quite awhile ago at this point! She doesn't know what to do about it. She doesn't want to get involved with a man again and potentially hurt her son but then this man, Chase, sounds wonderful! They live far from each other and Chase is willing to "date long distancely"!!!! He wants things to go fast with them because he reallys falls for Hope fast! Hope is tentative, however! Like other reviewers, I really felt this book needed an epilogue! It ended too abruptly but it was still a good book!

He was so open and honest about what he was feeling. He knew that he wanted to be with Hope, and he fought to make that happen. I loved the way he interacted with Hope’s son. He will definitely make a great dad! I love this series! The whole concept still makes me smile. I’ve enjoyed each book and can’t wait to see how the other bottles are found! I received a copy of the book, which I voluntarily reviewed. I have given my honest opinion.

Will he turn out to be her Knight in Shining Armour. Unlike some of the others in the book club she has her 8 year old son Jayden to think of while she decides. This behavior started when Hope and her husband divorced then reappeared after her last man friend called it quits. Hope fears to love again. Not just for herself but for her son. Chase Bowman is running the family ranch in White Oak, California. He is caring for his Mother following the death of his Dad. The last memory Chase has of his, Father is a fishing trip. It was on this trip that they discovered a bottle with a message in it. It sits in the Tack Room at the ranch. Will Chase re-open the bottle to retrieve the note enclosed? Will he act on the note if he opens it? If he does contact the writer of the note, would a rancher riding upon a black stead be able to take Sir Galahad's place? How would two people carry on a long distance relationship? An innovatively written storyline with a variety of interesting details to hold the reader's attention. The main characters had an undeniable chemistry between them immediately. A entertaining, well developed cast of supporting characters add flavor to the story. This is book # 7 in the Beach Brides Series. There are twelve books written by twelve authors in this series. Each book can be read as a stand alone. I volunteered to read "Hope". Thanks to the author for the opportunity. My opinion is my own.

I think this was one of the more realistic stories in this series that I have read. Being a single mother who has been burned in the past, Hope is understandably hesitant when it comes to new relationships. She’s also fiercely protective of her young son. But even though she was hesitant, she threw herself into a brand new relationship, probably too quickly. And then she has doubts about that relationship, possibly ruining any chance of the relationship being successful. I really liked Chase and the way the author chose to portray him and even make him speak. A couple times, the author really made him stand out by carefully constructing his dialogue. For example, instead of saying, “You look beautiful”, he says, “You are beautiful”. And to a woman, that makes a big difference. It was little things like that that made this story unique. In other words, the characters seemed REAL. It was a quick read that I enjoyed, although, I personally would’ve liked a bit more closure at the end. However, I get what the author was doing and it definitely works. Overall, I’d say it’s another great addition to a fun series! I was gifted a digital copy of this book. However, I volunteered to write a review. All of the above opinions are entirely my own.

I know the novella length of a book forces the author to speed up the timeline but I have a big problem with a woman who puts herself first. Her actions left me questioning her parenting skills and her so-called devotion to her son. The author's writing is good but this particular storyline has too many holes in it and I never formed an emotional connection to either of these characters. I read a complimentary copy of this book and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.

Aileen Fish is a new author for this avid reader. I am surprised at the reviews for Hope's story. Even though I was not fond of the cliff hanging ending, there is HOPE that the long distance relationship will work. Even though I may not agree with Hope's parenting style, as a retired teacher I know that children react in different ways to tragedy. As a mother to three sons, mothers have special connects with our sons and maybe we don't exercise tough love. Hope was a page turner. The message in Aileen Fish is a new author for this avid reader. This is a book seven in the Beach Brides series with likeable characters and would be a perfect beach or poolside read. Hope: Deserved to be happy and so did Jayden. Chase was great for them and he cared a lot. Hope is a great mother but she also needs worry about herself and if a man is willing to travel 1600 miles to see her there must be something really strong between them. He believed that he would not give up very ead6 on them and that is what a real man is since he would be getting a ready family. It was a great story

A straightforward sweet romance novella. I really liked the "message in the bottle" concept that carries throughout the series of twelve books - some of the messages were funny, some heartfelt, but each one was unique and a great start to each individual story. With the exception of Ginny Baird, each author in the series is new to me. What initially caught my eye was the beautiful cover art. A straightforward sweet romance novella.
