    Interesting ideas for food with a pressure cooker I've never used a pressure cooker before, but I am one who likes to cook and liked to cook healthy. I loved to cook all day and have food taste like they were cooked all day, but most of the time that is not possible. I think after reviewing this book, that I may add pressure cooker to my list of small appliances to buy and buy soon. I will definitely use this book to create some of the amazing recipes in the book. Cleaning section is one of my favorite as we use an electric pressure cooker with a seal inside. Has common problems and solutions section. Like the section on converting slow cooker recipes to the pressure cooker. My cooker actually has a slow cooker button. Next chapter is about breakfast items. Each recipe starts with a title, servings, time to make along with a paragraph about the dish. List of ingredients and how to make it. Nutritional information includes total calories, pretein, carbs, fat-NOT broken up into good and bad, fiber and no sodium levels are listed either. Should be able to substitute for healthier options for ingredients; low sodium, low fat. I always select manual and might try the rice/risotto button instead. Other chapters are beef, poultry, lamb, pork, seafood, soups and stews, pasta and rice, sides and snacks, Paleo dishes, vegan and holiday foods, stocks and sauces, and desserts. Other books by the author are highlighted at the end. chocolate chip cookies, 2 of them sound like a great idea.

    Power Pressure Cooker XL Cookbook is a thorough, interesting cookbook for this powerful tool, and does a great job to teach new owners of the appliance how to operate it. The recipes do not assume that you have used the pressure cooker before, and there is a great section in the front about how to operate your pressure cooker. This book has 200 recipes for things that I would have never have thought that I could make with a Power Pressure Cooker XL. There are several cheesecake recipes, as well a Power Pressure Cooker XL Cookbook is a thorough, interesting cookbook for this powerful tool, and does a great job to teach new owners of the appliance how to operate it. The recipes do not assume that you have used the pressure cooker before, and there is a great section in the front about how to operate your pressure cooker. This book has 200 recipes for things that I would have never have thought that I could make with a Power Pressure Cooker XL. There are several cheesecake recipes, as well as some breakfast recipes. Of course, its unlikely that someone would purchase this book without owning a pressure cooker, but I think that the table of contents in this book is enough encouragement to try one if it interests you. One of the most surprising parts to me was the books hefty Vegan section, and there are also vegetarian recipes throughout the rest of the book. I wouldn't have thought that this tool was a good fit for vegetarians and vegans, but it proved me wrong! This book is amazing if you have a Power Pressure Cooker XL, and I think it would be a great addition if you're giving the cooker to someone as a gift. If you have a Power Pressure Cooker XL and aren't sure where to start, or just use it to make the same recipes over and over again, you need this cookbook!

In addition to the two-hundred recipes in this well written and organized book, the knowledge she shares allows you to convert any recipe to work in your unit including the ones in the book if you have a different one. We have tried a few recipes already with excellent results and will be enjoying more in the weeks ahead. My family was so pleased with dinner that there were no leftovers! If you have a Power Pressure Cooker XL, this book is a must.

This is the first cookbook that I have bought in a few years, since the days of Pinterest I haven’t bought one. I have to say that is cookbook wasn’t great, yes it has a variety of recipes but it nothing you can’t find one the internet. This cookbook also has all the tip for learning about electric pressure cookers and how to convert traditional recipes. One recipe to try this the shrimp fried rice. I would give this cookbook 2 and ½ stars.

The author also includes a section on how power cookers were invented and the differences between pressure cookers with other forms of slow cookers and even between different types of pressure cookers. It not only gives recipes but very specific instructions on how to work the machine through the recipe which is extremely helpful. The author also includes a section on how power cookers were invented and the differences between pressure cookers with other forms of slow cookers and even between different types of pressure cookers. The recipes are very diverse yet most are very affordable and span a wide range of different types of cooking. The part I liked best about this book was how specific the instructions were with using the power cooker. I have to be honest, I thought this was for a slow cooker when I picked it up and once I saw it was a pressure cooker I was a little nervous but thought maybe I could just adjust the recipes for use in a slow cooker…which now is doubtful but I’m glad that kept me interested. Power cookers look overly complicated to me and I also live in fear of one blowing up. I feel a little safer about looking into purchasing one now. I was grateful for the troubleshooting and history sections in this book. I think I may have to purchase a pressure cooker now. The recipes were very diverse and covered everything from Indian to Mediterranean. The ingredients for the recipes were overall very affordable. There were some very simple recipes like hashbrown and bacon casserole and scalloped potatoes all the way to sweet potato peanut butter soup and lamb stew. There was a vegan section and a paleo section. Another helpful thing the author did was not only give calories for the meal but also gave a breakdown of protein, carbs, fat, and fiber. This will really help people who eat certain ways or who are dieting. There is just a good variety here and most of it looks delicious! The sections cover everything from different meats, vegetables, soups, sauces, and even desserts. The balance is amazing and makes this easily one of the best cook books I’ve picked up. I was a little disappointed that even the meat dishes came out with a high carb rate. I personally try to eat high protein meals and I was disappointed to see the carbs ratio to protein ratio for a lot of the meals. The Paleo section saved it for me and there were other substitutions by the author to increase the protein rate but I think I’d like to see a little more protein friendly dishes in future cookbooks. This is really my only complaint. Speaking of which, for signing up for the author’s newsletter, I got another four free cookbooks! I can’t wait to look through them and one looks specific for the Paleo diet. The author has a blog and many other cook books as well and if they are as good as this one, I’m a fan. If you are curious about pressure cookers and want to have a variety of dishes including the staples for use with one, this is the book for you.
