Book 2 in The Amelia Atherton Regency Romance Series BUY The Music of Love (The Amelia Atherton 4-in-1 Collection) What happens when the Queen of the Season loses her crown? Lady Amelia Atherton was the toast of the London Season, she thought she had plenty of time to find love, but now with her father dead and the Dukedom in the hands of her odious Uncle Declan, Lady Amelia is obliged to find a husband, posthaste. Still in mourning, sequestered away at the country estate and striped of all funds this will be quite a feat, but she will persevere. She is still Lady Amelia Atherton, tough as a diamond. The London gossips whisper that her father was involved in some scandal which caused his untimely death. Lady Amelia itches to resolve the mystery, but as an unmarried woman she has little recourse. It seems the only person who might be able to help her is the Royal Navy Commander Samuel Beresford; the brash, sometimes rude, younger son, of the Earl of Blackburn. Amelia is certain she cannot trust the impetuous Commander, but she also cannot stop thinking about him. A tragic accident, a secret cipher, a clandestine engagement and strange twist of Fate draw the unlikely pair together. Amelia will show him a woman is more than a bauble for a man to possess. But perhaps Samuel will do what none of the Peerage could manage and find Lady Amelia’s heart. Neither could imagine falling in love now it seems they cannot imagine it with anyone else. The Music of Love: Hidden Pages is a Regency Romance set in 1811-1820 and is marked by witty banter, balls, and country house parties, much like Jane Austen's famous Pride and Prejudice. It is the second of the four part The Amelia Atherton Regency Romance Series. This serial novella can be read alone, but is best enjoyed as book two in the proper sequence.

Miss prime and proper Lady Amelia got exactly what was coming to her. She is so catch up in the rules that she doesn't realize something dire is amidst. What I like about Amelia is that, come what may, there is more to her then finding the husband of her choice, she is very independent and smart as a whip. Samuel is a daredevil and not looking for a wife because his ship is the love of his life. I also like that regardless of their status in society, they respect one another & actually make a gr Miss prime and proper Lady Amelia got exactly what was coming to her. She is strong-willed but a sailor that can handle his ship can surely handle a lady, loved their story!
