After several years of Special Ops in the Navy and a FUBARed mission, Tobias was once again running. Running away from his past, from the doctors, and from his PTSD — put simply, Tobias was running from himself and was landing in deep shit. A chance meeting places Tobias in the cross-hairs and he knows immediately that his life as he knew it is over. The big question, would he be allowed to begin a new life with the Dásreach? Leo hadn’t run from his life, he had been pushed. For one hundred and fifty-seven years, he had been the black sheep of the family, forced to live alone or live a lie. The decision had been easy, that was until Malkum shows up on his doorstep dragging along a pain in the ass Enforcer that flips all of Leo’s switches. Now both men are forced to reevaluate everything they ever thought they knew, decide what they really want, and figure out how to convince the other. Will Tobias’ second life as a bear help the Dásreach acknowledge the ultimate truth — love is love — as well as, the magnitude of the changes occurring within their race?

Love is love! This is a book about redemption and love. Tobias seeks redemption for his past. The Dásreach has given him his opportunity. But first he needs to move past his past and accept himself and his Bear. Leonidas has lived 177 long years without a mate and without the acceptance of his parents. He finds companionship from time to time but he yearns for more. When Tobias is sprung on him to train, Leo feels stirrings in his own spirit animal. Longing. Can they be the balm for each other's souls? This is a well-written paranormal romance touching on a wide variety of subjects from PTSD to homophobia and acceptance. It is part of a series and is best if read in order. The lessons it teaches are universal. Love is love. It doesn't matter who is on the receiving end. Everyone deserves it. This story builds on an amazing tale and the journey the Dásreach follow to find their mates. I can't wait to read where their journey takes them all next! A definite 1-click!

I typically never go searching for m/m romance it's not my thing but, since this is a part of a series I have been following, I couldn't skip it. As with any romance book, I need a story to go with the steamy...this has a good story to ease you into the relationship so I wasn't uncomfortable at all with the romantic parts. The story line flowed well and kept me interested. There was just enough humor and action to keep the pages moving along. Leo and Tobais' story is a depiction of one of many stories out in the real world of who are afraid to be themselves and embrace their true selves. Their story is one of struggle, strength and love. Love comes in all shapes and at different times in our lives. The clear message is love is love. The mantra: Be true. Wonderfully written, their spirit animals will capture your heart! Highly recommend. 5 out of 5 stars. I really enjoyed this book, the characters are amazing and having read the first 3 it's nice to see a different side of the shaman, he's actually quite funny lol, Leo and Tobias are very damaged men but you can't help but love them both!!
