This book is decent but not great. It does a credible job of compressing the vast amount of information that comprises medical Physiology - to a point. Often it misses out CRITICAL points that a student needs to know concerning specific topics. As such you can use this for REVIEW but not for STUDY. It is impossible to use this text alone and get top marks because of the gaps and holes. It has good scope, but not enough depth. Use this to review but combine with a meatier text for study - such as This book is decent but not great. lol - yes it does have gaps, but saved MY butt in A&P! A good compliment to any standard physiology text.

This book, as it's title suggests, give you a good idea about recent established updates in physiology. I would not recommend it as a starting book. This book, as it's title suggests, give you a good idea about recent established updates in physiology. I would not recommend it as a starting book.
