Jeff Samuels –
Unbelievably the beautiful hand-drawn illustrations (and front cover) of this book were done by a young artist Rosie Swan who was, apparently, just 17 at the time - WOW Also love the fact that the superbly feisty main protagonist is a mixed race girl and there is lots and lots of humour as well as action. A winner.
