I read this before I went to sleep and I kept waking up in a cold sweat.  Hurry up and write another book, Johnny.  I think I'm becoming dependent. Now, this is a hard one for me to rate and review. There is so much good with Scarlotti’s poetry; well composed and flowing and filled with clever turns that often catches you off guard and shake you awake. My issue is with the often vile and graphic content and imagery. On purpose, I did not say ‘offensive’ on account of not easily taking offense. This, however, does not mean I enjoy over-the-top writing. The poems I did enjoy in this volume was often brilliant, the rest I was indifferent to. But that is surely a matter of taste only and you should make up your own mind.

if Johnny Scarlotti wiped his ass with a sheet of paper and gave it to me I'd give it five stars. he's that good. and I'm fucking loyal. if Johnny Scarlotti wiped his ass with a sheet of paper and gave it to me I'd give it five stars. he's that good. and I'm fucking loyal.

The best $2.99 I spent all week! ......What a sweet fella, that Johnny! I find him infinitely entertaining. As long as we are not living in the same state. Psychotic, imaginative, shameless, immature, hilarious, sickening, witty, disturbing as fuck. I definitely recommend it. It's life changing. If you have a weak stomach, this book is not for you because you are a loser. Though I do not recommend reading it on Ambien. As your mother would say 'Do as I say kids...not as I do!' Funny, original and disturbing poetry that's uniquely Scarlottian! 3.5 stars. Funny, original and disturbing poetry that's uniquely Scarlottian! 3.5 stars.

Johnny "The Great" Scarlotti's poetry is so easy to get into, most poets I like it takes a few pages to get into the rhythm, with Scarlotti within the first couple of lines I'll be laughing away. After I've been hooked there is never a dull poem. The topics are very similar but somehow do not feel repetitive. Favourite in the collection is "cooking class" this meets all my requirements for childish humour. Jessie gets a mention, nice to see him up to his old tricks. Not sure on the title though, no Johnny "The Great" Scarlotti's poetry is so easy to get into, most poets I like it takes a few pages to get into the rhythm, with Scarlotti within the first couple of lines I'll be laughing away. Not sure on the title though, no sign of Molly in the book, there is an Isabella the cutest tick you'll ever meet. Another top collection from Scarlotti, possible his second best book.
