He even takes a step back... Logan gives him time until he thinks it's enough. An expanded story with a lot going on. Many subjects are revealed ... their relationship, work, colleagues, traumatic experiences, family and the ice on the cake how they are as lovers-D/s Very well written, a captivating, thoughtful, sweet, hard, honest story. Well developed personalities and environments. Kindly received a copy from the author.

Then suddenly, the police captain decides to break up their successful SWAT team and bring in new people. Clay tries to adjust to the new guys but one in particular is homophobic and Clay doesn’t hold back on his opinion. The repercussions become more than Clay can handle but as always, he keeps it bottled up. Up until he can’t. The sensitive subject was depicted really well and touched on men often being taught to suppress their emotions, as well as Clay’s views on the unwritten codes of police brotherhood. His struggle was emotional and filled with tension, waiting to find out what happens to the team and with Logan. The D/s aspect was shown to perfection as Logan sensed that Clay was having trouble, still trying to do what was right as a Dom without stepping over the boundaries Clay had imposed. I really enjoyed the outcome, when Logan decided to take some matters into his own hands and Clay’s response. The rest of their friends on the team, as always, provide support and even Ryan steps up for Clay. There’s not an over abundance of sex scenes and the D/s play is mostly mild with one very hot, not extreme, flogging scene. The ending is everything I could want for these characters and they finally get a complete HEA. Christa Tomlinson has become a one-click author for me and I’d recommend this trilogy of stories, especially for anyone who wants to dip a toe into BDSM without going overboard. I’m really looking forward to Hector’s story next, with what looks to be an OFY/BiFY storyline. * An ARC was provided by the author or publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review for Hearts On Fire Reviews*

It was sick what was done to Clay. It was hard to watch Clay flounder and not reach out for the help he needed thinking he needed to take care of this on his own. Their journey back to each other was well written and realistic. They both had issues they had to work through. Sweet ending for these two.

Sigh.... Clay and Logan... I was hoping for more of these two... All is perfect in Clay and Logan world. Things at work are great, things at home are great and the guys are better than ever... so of course, Hayden would have to mess with that. He wouldn't just leave well enough alone. Shaking up their team was one thing but putting Clay in harms was was another. I was physically sick at what happened to him. Terrible. I didn't at all see that coming and was just... sick by the lengths these people Sigh.... Clay and Logan... I was hoping for more of these two... All is perfect in Clay and Logan world. I didn't at all see that coming and was just... sick by the lengths these people were willing to go. Of course, being Clay, he locked himself away inside his head to deal with it, which was the absolute wrong thing to do but I understood his need to do it. He needed Logan to bring him out of it, even if he didn't realize that's what he was doing. I was a little disappointed that the guys didn't their karmic justice that I felt like they deserved. I would've liked the guys to bleed a little, maybe suffer a little for what they done to Clay. It wasn't forgiveable and I hated that it kind of got swept aside like it wasn't the most awful thing you could do to a person... Why? Because it happened to a man? Had Clay been a woman, it would have been a whole lot worse and that wasn't fair.... but, whatever, at least they didn't get away with it. I loved the ending, I loved seeing the gang back together and everybody happy and healthy and in love. It couldn't have ended on a more perfect note... I hope we continue to get more and more from this family of brothers in blue. 5 stars from me!

Series finishes up with a flourish This is a nice rounding off for Logan and Clay as they have to fight to work out external pressures in their relationship. The BDSM throughout this series has been well done in my limited, based on reading only, experience and I've enjoyed finding out more about the scene through these books. Logan and Clay's relationship has been well developed and realistic and this book is no exception. Let me just start of with, if you haven't read any of the others in this series I suggest you start from the beginning. Logan and Clay had it rough from the start but their life together couldn't be more perfect right now. Then the unthinkable happens at work and Clay isn't sure how to deal with it all. New guys on the team are cold hearted homophobes. Which just pissed me off. I wanted to jump into the book and kick them in the balls. The crap they put Clay through was beyond terrible. These two are so perfect for each other. And the ending ahhh had tears running down my face. This author has a way of keeping you clued to the story and I loved every second of it.

I received An Officer’s Submission from the Goodreads Don’t Buy My Love program. It’s the third book in the ‘Cuffs, Collars and Love’ series. I was told this could be read as a stand-alone but I’d miss out on how the MCs met. I’ll have to disagree and say this isn’t a stand-alone. It felt like I was dropped into the middle of an ongoing story and was confused at the beginning and really didn’t feel drawn to the couple. It could’ve been because there’s a lot of telling going on, especially at the beginning. I had to restrain myself from skimming because all the telling was boring. It wasn’t as prevalent in the story after the attack, which is when the action picked up, because of more dialogue. But when it shifted back to monologue, the author reverted to telling again. As I mentioned, there’s a lot of telling and because of that, I wasn’t drawn into the story or the characters as much as I wanted. Part of the issue for me, was that Clay came across more like a woman. I don’t mean feminine, but like a female character and I’m not sure why. It started from the very beginning of the story as soon as he started to think/speak. My mind immediately pictured a woman and I had difficulty imagining Clay as a male for the rest of the story. I’ve read stories where men are submissives or abused or effeminate, and they didn’t come across like a woman, so I don’t know why Clay did. I didn’t get that impression with Logan. Anyway, Clay coming across as a woman also blunted my enjoyment of this story since I read MM for a reason. My interest in this story didn’t pick up until the attack on Clay happened and ended at its resolution. I understand the additional chapters at the end tied up the loose ends, but they dragged along. There is also one chapter where the font size was huge, about three times the size of the rest of the book. I think it was chapter twenty-two or thereabouts. The BDSM in this story is on the mild side, infrequent and also included a lot of telling. The topics the author spoke about in this story were important topics, but because of the telling instead of showing and Clay who sounded like a woman, made it difficult for me to identify with the characters or pull me into the story. The ending chapters dragged. I want to give An Officer’s Submission, 2.5 Stars, but since Goodreads doesn’t allow half stars I will give it 3 Stars. (hide spoiler)]

I truly love this seris. I have read every book so far and they just keep getting better and better. So when I seen there was going to be this book added to the series I was so excited. I could not wait to read it. I am so glad that I did because this book, much like the other book in this series, was beyond incredible. These men and woman on the Houston Swat do not know what is coming their way in this book but it will change the course of all of their lives. When Logan is called into the Captain I truly love this seris. When Logan is called into the Captain's office only to be told that th captain was planning on splitting their team up, Logan was blown away. He could not believe that the team he has worked so hard with was being ton apart and heir was nothing he could do except accept it. It was not easy having to tell not only his team but his fellow teammate, lover, and submissive that not only was Logan being reassigned to Narcotics but that other team members was being reassigned to different units also. Logan did his best to reassure the team, which is now his family, that they can and will follow the changes that has been thrust upon them and do their best to deal with the changes that are about to take affect. Logan's lover, sub, and teammate Clay feels that it is his fault for this. Clay is one of those people that takes on whatever happens as his own doing. He is the type of person that over thinks things and believes that if he had done something differently then they would have never happened immediately in the first place. Logan has tried to make Clay realize that things happen and they are not always necessarily directed towards what someone has done. But Clay has a hard time accepting that. So I think that is why when something bad happens to Clay, he shuts down and he tries to avoid the issue at hand and in turn ends up avoiding and closing Logan out at the same time. Clay has to figure out a way to deal with what happened and Logan has to figure out the best way to go about helping Clay through it whether Clay likes it or not. It is not an easy road and there is definitely a lot of bumps along the way. But the way they end up handling it all will determine whether they make it to the other side either together or both on opposite sides of the street. As I said this is a beyond incredible read. Like the other books there is situations that the team finds themselves in and they have to have each other's backs to come out on too. Logan and Clays relationship is truly an amazing relationship that makes you smile when you think of the two of them together. I truly look forward to the next book if there is going to be one because I love these people in this series. Was given this galley copy for free for an open and honest review

I found the story and characters captivating. The characters were well developed and thought out. Sergeant Logan Pierce and Police Officer Clay Foster are the MC’s of this book. There was humor, police station, team issues, a bigoted bully and his friends, loyal friends, an assault, D/s practices, betrayal, teamwork, training and so much more in this book. *Spoiler and trigger warning there is talk about assault and rape there is no actual rape. This spot is easily skipped if you want. And you will still get the basic idea. Here is a quote from the book, “We’ve got new body cams we’re testing. I know you guys are going on a training run tonight, and I want to give them a trial run. You mind wearing one for me?” “No problem, man. I’ll be down in a minute.” … ”These are much smaller than the ones we’ve used before. That should help to keep from getting in the way. I know that was one of the complaints you guys had.” Yeah. That big box on my chest was a nuisance.” He took the little camera that White handed him.”. There is more but you will need to read the book which I can highly recommend. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

It's hard writing reviews for books you love with everything you are because no one likes spoilers and Al I want to do is gush about everything....But...I will refrain. Needs a trigger warning Fair warning for semi-spoilers in vague terms. Let me start off by saying I loved this book. This story was much better presented then the first Ryan/Logan book. The plot was great and very well executed. A bit too well. I have read books by other authors who have depicted assult scenes before and have never had an issue with it. This one however had my hands shaking through half the novel and wondering if I was going to throw up. The scene hit me hard and unexpectedly. Add a trigger warning at the start of the book. People can choose not to look but I think the choice should have been there. Overall though I have to say I did really enjoy this book and encourage people to read it. (Updated) Also to Christa if you are reading this, there is a format change in the file at chapter 22. For me this meant the text font showed up much smaller then the previous chapter which could be fixed.

Around the department “shake up”, I got a little more interested in the storyline, even felt bad for the characters going through some extreme emotional upheaval (but no tears from me, because I didn't "feel" their pain - see below). I totally got the seriousness of the overall themes here: bullying, attempted rape, compartmentalizing, stress, depression. Super strong themes, that I wanted to really sink my teeth into. However, I didn't get the emotional attachment I needed to really enjoy this story. Had I gotten it… The best part...the ending. It was funny, sweet, and caring. Wish I'd gotten that the whole way through.

I had not read "The Sergeant" before starting this book, but it did not influence my reading of An Officer's Submission. Be aware that some readers may feel pretty uncomfortable with the trigger event faced by Clay, but I think situations like that do happen and the author has described well Clay's downfall and the consequences on an emotional level for both MC's and their friends. The story was therefore very intense and I liked that Logan was able to push aside the D/s aspects of their relationship in order to allow Clay to recover and return to be himself before playing again. Overall I really enjoyed this story about real men and real problems, and I will certainly pick-up all the other instalments of this series.

Loved it. Reading about Logan and Clay again was amazing, I missed that couple quite a bit, as well as the supporting characters. The whole series is great and everyone should read them. I like where the author went with the storyline, it was unexpected but she did a great job of writing it from a guy's point of view. Now there was a small hint that came across to me that one of the supporting characters might get his own story and I would like that very much. I'll keep my fingers crossed. I'm not opposed to begging. So go get this awesome read, you won't be sorry. You should read the others in the series to get the full experience, you won't regret it.

I liked this one much better than The Sergeant, which is funny because I disliked both characters so intensely! I still can't call myself a fan of Clay, although I definitely had a lot of sympathy for the situation in which he found himself in this book. (Which I will not describe, because spoilers, and triggers.) I haven't been in the identical situation, but I've been in a similar enough situation that I could definitely relate to a lot of what he was feeling. I disliked Logan less in this boo I liked this one much better than The Sergeant, which is funny because I disliked both characters so intensely! I still don't like him much, but I didn't so much have that "drop him off a cliff" urge I had in The Sergeant. It was good to see how his relationship with Clay had developed, and how the entire unit was evolving. I'm thoroughly enjoying Tomlinson's work. It's incredible how she can take two characters I dislike so much and still write something I don't want to put down.

I felt all the emotions in the story's ups and downs. I will look forward to anymore she might write although I do wonder if that was the end of the series.

An Officer's Submission by Christa Tomlinson is the fourth part of the Cuffs, Collars and Love series. Possible to read as a stand alone but best enjoyed after reading the previous. Clay , who is Logan's submissive, are both police officers. we get to revisit characters we've met before, which I always enjoy. Personally, Clay and Logan's relationship seems to be strong and happy. Then their team gets restructured, separating the boys from each other. Instead of trusting Logan, Clay withdraws and the isolation makes the situation worse. I enjoyed seeing the couple eventually get to their very sweet happy ending but it was rough to watch Clay go through that pain on his own. Great read!

First thing I have to say about this is how much Ms. Tomlinson’s writing has improved, while I loved Logan and Clay’s first book her writing gets better with every book in this series. I was thinking I might have to purchase a new Kindle while reading this one, talk about frustrating characters and situations. lol! I mean first it was Hayden’s stunt that lead to the issue that Clay had to go through, then not only was I frustrated for Clay but at him a little bit too. I loved how Logan was there for him and tried his best to help Clay in any way he could even giving him space when he asked for it. I also loved how Clay and Ryan built a real friendship after all of the other issues they had with each other. But most of all I loved that Clay and Logan’s relationship was perfectly solid in this one and that ending was great. Even though that ending was great I can’t say that I wouldn’t love to get updates on these two and maybe even more books in this series.

It might be difficult for a strong man to admit he's submissive. Clay was fortunate - his Dom/sub relationship with Logan progressed naturally, though in everyday life he's a tough member of a badass SWAT team. But when they come out as a couple to their colleagues, it brings them both lots of problems. Their team is split now, but that's not the worst thing Clay will have to face. What to expect: lots and lots of angst and a fair amount of D/s interaction.

I'm a huge fan of the Cuffs, Collars and Love series and was eager to read this new addition. At first I wondered how the author could add to the wonderful story of Logan and Clay, as they were fully explored in the first book. He feels he is less of a man and finds it difficult to connect between the part of him that is the hard SWAT officer and the part of him that wants to be submissive to Logan. The back story of the SWAT team and the great characters is great and fully supports the main story. Logan and Clay develop more as characters as they explore areas of themselves and their relationship. Another page turner from Christa Tomlinson, who is fast becoming one of my favourite authors in this genre. A well deserved five stars. I hope there is more to come in this series!

Loved seeing Logan and Clay again in this wonderful story. Emotional and sensitive storyline that is spectacularly written and would not let me put this book down. So much happened to Clay and he tried to keep it all to himself until he had to let it out in order to save Logan from being suspended from the force. It's an emotional roller coaster but with their love and understanding always shining through. I don't want to give any spoilers, this is a story that is a MUST READ!! On top of a scramble up of the team, Clay gets assaulted and it shatters his mind in a way that affects his D/s relationship with Logan. We see a real breach of trust for Clay and a level of insecurity that we didn't see in the last three. Although it's just the one incident, Logan and Clay become "more" in their BDSM relationship. I gave this a 4, because it really was good. I liked the pacing, and the drama. Granted nothing in it was a super wow factor, it was simple and good. I like BDSM titles, so this was a good one to read. I wish there was more of it in a 24/7 dynamic, because that along with the two of them being police officers, it would have challenged their relationship like nothing else. I hope this isn't the last we see of them.

I recieved a free copy of this book from the author for an unbiased review. I like Logan and Clay as a couple even if Clay´s constant need to proof his manhood and what a badass he is was a bit grating on my nerves. Logans reaction to Harmons "pranks" was a bit over the top for me. All in all it was a good book for me to read and I love the new plans the MC´s have in mind for their future and I loved the wedding. Hope there will be more of this series. Clay and Logan are back again in An Officer's Submission. They seem to be stronger then ever. Clay is at peace with his choice to be Logan's submissive. Not only is he at peace, but he loves to serve his master. As a reader you can feel the devotion between both men. Logan's protective instincts are pushed to the limit in this story. I love how the author writes Logan. He is the perfect alpha hero. I look forward to the next installment. Is Hector's story next? I can only hope so. This was absolutely hot. Hot and spicy and tender. I love these guys. I’ve read the other books in the series, and this high standard has been maintained. The emotions you feel while reading are real and not forced! The plot is tight. Seeing these two together again warmed my heart. Good job, Ms. Tomlinson! Cheers! 4.5/5 *I received a free copy for an honest review.*
