When the husband is found murdered in the gardening shed, only one of the six of them could be the murderer. Clearing Sarah and his ex-wife, Karen becomes Will's quest for justice. With only two suspects who is it and why? These characters are really coming to life in this third entry. The pet shop and animals round out the background perfectly and the murder plots have plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing. Both mystery and animal lovers will enjoy this entertaining series.

This series is great if you need a quick read that isn't overly complicated. Sadly, Rowdy didn't have his usual starring role in this one, but it was still enjoyable. It is interesting to see Will and Karen try to figure out how to move on and act friendly. This series is great if you need a quick read that isn't overly complicated. Oh my are we in for a change This book was really good. I like the adding of dogs getting adopted. The murders are good also. This one was really entwined. But all is well that ends well.

Good This was a good, fast-paced read. Will and Sarah race against the clock to figure out who killed Jeff. With all the evidence pointing at Will's ex-wife Karen, can they figure out who the real murderer is? This is another great short story by Susie Gayle. Good This was a good, fast-paced read. Book 3 This series, like a lot of series, gets better as they go. I enjoy getting to know characters and reading about their lives that the authors write about. Still love Rowdy.

Pet shop owner will Sullivan is back, along with his faithful employee and beloved girlfriend Sarah and his unforgettable rescue dog Rowdy in another gripping adventure that is guaranteed to keep readers captivated and guessing until book's end. This time, the Pet Shop Stop plays host to an adoption event for rescue cats and dogs. In addition to Wil's troublesome ex-wife Karen showing up, intent on adopting the last rescue cat available, Will and Sarah also must contend with a very quarrelsome couple at odds – among other things – as to whether or not the adoption of a second dog into their household is right for them. Unable to reach a decision, the couple decide to let will bring the dog, named Cheese, out to their house to determine if he is compatible or not with their current dog, named Oliver but nicknamed Crackers. While at their home, accompanied by Sarah, will introduces Cheese to Crackers, and the two very differently sized dogs form an immediate playful bond. Over the course of the home visit, where will and Sarah are introduced to Stephen, a friend of the couple, as well as also finding wills ex-wife Karen present, as she also has ties to the couple – the very wealthy Jeff and Anna Abernathy. Over the course of their very strained time together at the Abernathy home, as several of the six people gathered there come and go, leaving and reentering the room in which they are all gathered, eventually a scream is heard from outdoors and the body of Jeff Abernathy is discovered in the shed outback. With only five possible murder suspects, will is determined not only to prove his innocence but also the innocence of his girlfriend Sarah… And debates the possible guilt or innocence of his ex-wife Karen, as well as Steven and Anna – the other two potential murder suspects. Can the real killer be discovered and caught before it's too late? Once again told in the voice of and from the perspective of Will, a very welcome male perspective in a cozy murder mystery, Three Barks For Murder proves that phenomenally talented author Susie Gail is here to stay… Much to readers' benefit. Again set in the picturesque small-town of Seaview Rock, Maine, this book once more warms readers' hearts with beloved series regular characters will, Sarah, and, of course, Rowdy, while unfolding a complicated murder mystery that will keep readers guessing literally until the very end of the book. With all five other people gathered at the Abernathy home equal potential suspects, it's anybody's guess who the real killer actually is. As this well-crafted story unfolds with perfect timing and pacing, plot twists and turns guaranteed to hold and sustain readers' interest throughout the entirety of the book, again, as with her previous two series titles before this one, Susie Gayle's very inviting and engrossing natural writing style makes it impossible for you to put this book down until you read the very last word. Perfect for lovers of cozy murder mysteries everywhere and of any age, as well as pet and animal lovers, this book is one you simply must buy, read, and thoroughly enjoy… You won't be able to stop reading once you start… I guarantee it… Definitely another well-deserved and well-earned five-star winner from Susie Gayle…

This is the third book in the Pet Shop Cozy Mysteries, told from the male's point of view, and the books keep getting better as the author builds on relationships. This is a story of six people in a house (Will, Sarah, Jeff, Anna, Will's ex-wife, Karen, and Steven, a man the Abernathys are trying to set up with Karen), one person dies, who, of the people left, is the murderer? The author brings this story along in such a way that you are convinced it could be almost anybody. I laughed a lot through this book and find myself waiting for the next wonderful book in the series!

Once again, I have to say how much I love this series. It really was a nice surprise because the main character, Will, is a man instead of a woman like most of the cozy mysteries I usually read. The characters are very good, well described and developed, and I have to say, the author does a great job having them interact in their relationships and dialog. This is a really cute series so this book is not different than the ones that came before it. The pet shop just adds so much to this and of course at this point, I couldn't imagine the books without Roddy. The setting of the book is wonderful and offers so many possibilities for stories. The slow pace of a seaside town in Maine is deceiving since Will and Sarah have now been involved in so many murders. Karen, Will's ex-wife adds a lot of awkwardness and it's refreshing to see that the characters can be really nice but have real life problems. This book is a lot of fun and I am really looking forward to more books (and maybe a little more romance for Will and Sarah).

Will and Sarah are preparing the store for their biggest adoption day ever. Little do they know that Will's ex-wife Karen is about to entangle them in yet another tragedy in Seaview Rock. When an unexpected death takes place during an adoption follow-up there is no shortage of suspects. What is unexpected is the camaraderie that appears to be developing between Sarah and Karen. Love this series This is such a fun series. That might sound odd to say about a murder mystery series but the books are filled with lots of pets, those already in their furever family and those awaiting for a home. Will owns a pet shop and his girlfriend Sara helps him run it. Will is also really good at solving murders, with Sara, his dog Rowdy, and the Police.

Cute to the max I chose 5 stars because I did not want to stop reading about this town and it's citizens. Love the pet store and especially Rowdy . Not sure if there were a 100 books in the series if I get tired of reading it. Light, easy read great escape. I don't know how Will and Sarah do it. They are just trying to do their jobs and they wind up finding more dead bodies. I love these characters and the unlikely friendship Sarah is making should make for some interesting times for Will. I don't know how Will and Sarah do it.
