I only read the six short stories, so I can't rate the entire book / magazine. "The Country Store" - Ronald Anthony Cross: An Earth girl and her dog on another planet. "Lafayette Farewell" - Ray Bradbury: An elderly former WWI pilot and his friend. "The Star War" - Frederik Pohl: The satellites that power cable TV go out. "City Boy" - Charles L. Grant: An urban northerner visits his fiance's family down South. "While You're Up" - Avram Davidson: A three-pager. "Rat Run" - Wayne Wightman: A game sho I only read the six short stories, so I can't rate the entire book / magazine. "While You're Up" - Avram Davidson: A three-pager. "Rat Run" - Wayne Wightman: A game show with a twist. My favorite was "City Boy". "Lafayette Farewell" was disappointing, though that's probably because Bradbury is such a known name. He's the only one of the six authors I had heard of previously. I liked the idea behind "Rat Run" better than the finished product. There are two longer pieces, referred to as novelets: "How Spoilers Bleed" - Clive Barker "A Wooden Tiger" - Lucius Shepard There are also three articles / columns: "Books" - Algis Budrys "Books to Look For" - Orson Scott Card "Science: The Horse Under he Hood" - Isaac Asimov
