It's a very important book and does have good information but it is drab and highly legal in nature. Following the flow based on all the ordinances and articles is super hard. But I have definitely pulled out a few absolutely key pieces of law that I see the school system trying to break all the time. They just hope we're uninformed because it's expensive to provide the services the schools are legally bound to do. I don't feel one bit guilty about it; I pay my taxes and my daughter deserves as It's a very important book and does have good information but it is drab and highly legal in nature. Need to know the ABC's of IEP's? This is the book for you. Wrightslaw does a terrific job of explaining the federal laws that surround special education, while also breaking down practically any and all terminology that a parent or even a professional might encounter. I recommend this book to parents, teachers, and any professional involved with special education or the IEP process. Need to know the ABC's of IEP's? This is the book for you. I entered "amazing" because this is an amazing resource. It is user friendly and gives us the actual special education law, but it also has some case studies and information. Wright has a way of putting this legal jargon into understandable terms. I would not re-read this, but it a resource that I will always have on my bookshelf. The law, as written with footnotes to explain. It isn't a fun or light read, but a necessary read for parents or school teachers and administrators The law, as written with footnotes to explain. I will be reading and rereading this one. You will have to take notes. Get a highlighter, etc. I found it pretty easy to find the answers I needed.
