Mark One: Here we get to know who Mark is, not quite where he comes from but we do know he has incredible abilities (genetically engineered human) . We also get to know some of the other players such as May Ann, Schmidt, Senator Boothby, Reverend Barker and many more. Plenty of action and suspense. Mark Two: We get to know a lot more about Cerberus (Genetic Engineering (GE) company), about so many GE children and soldiers; we also don't know who are the good and the bad folks are between the FBI, Mark One: Here we get to know who Mark is, not quite where he comes from but we do know he has incredible abilities (genetically engineered human) . Mark Two: We get to know a lot more about Cerberus (Genetic Engineering (GE) company), about so many GE children and soldiers; we also don't know who are the good and the bad folks are between the FBI, CIA, NAS and so on. Yet more intrigue, action and suspense. An excellent thriller. Mark 3: Here we get to know a lot about Cerberus in UK and China - lots of action involving Russians, the CIA, the FBI, NAS SO15, the British police and on and onand on. Plenty of excitement, action and suspense. Mark 4: Wow! What a tangled web we have here - another kidnapping, involvement from the Saudis, Daesch, Chechen Jihadists; also lots more from the FBI, NAS, the Pentagon and more. Mark and his now growing "family" finally get together.

I just finished The Mark Midway Box Set books 1-4 last week and I completely enjoyed it. My favorite part of reading any John Hindmarsh Novel is that fact that his novels always make me think. The possibilities of what man is able to do with new technology is scary. In the wrong hands technology could be a nightmare, however there is always some good as well. Are there advantages to AI's? Should we be messing with Human genes to modify or enhance our capabilities ? Mark 1 was the book that hooked me and the following three stories advance the idea of Enhanced Humans. Do scientists go to far in playing God? What are our limits do we have any? Like I said the best part of these novels is the questions that you ask yourself for weeks after reading them.

A highly addictive series. Getting hooked was never more satisfying. I started off with the single purchase of Mark One, but purchased the box set even before I finished the first one. Good series I enjoyed the Mark Midway series. A different type of thriller mixed with military overtones. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was some inaccuracies in the weapons. Being a shooter that is important. For example in book 4 Mark gets a weapon described as a Glock. It is described as a .38 caliber with a 7 round magazine. Glock does no make a .38 caliber. Other than that I loved the series.

Interesting take on the whole concept of modifying human DNA. Great writing holds your interest, while shining a light on the concept of creating "improved" humans. Has a very entertaining plot line I enjoyed the whole series. Interesting take on the whole concept of modifying human DNA. Midway Box Set This was definitely the best way to enjoy the first four books in the series. Nonstop action and adventure from the start to the end. Now to find the fifth book.
