This was a great little read!! It’s both laugh out loud funny and reading through your tears emotional. The main character (Delia) is a stressed out mother of three who has just a little too much on her plate to deal with as well as feeling like a failure and comparing herself to other people & their lives. She’s, also, still dealing with the grief of losing her own mother as a child. This is a quick read with just 192 pages that will make you laugh and cry at the same time!! I think that most mothers can understand how Delia feels and can relate to her. And, honestly... I completely related to several of her “confessions” myself but I won’t tell you which ones! 😂

A heartwarming story of a Mom's day to day life and how she deals with her Mother's death. Delia is given a stack of letters written to her from her Mother. The letters are given to her years after her Mother's death. These letters give Delia an insight into the life and death of her precious Mother. While reading this story, I laughed and I cried. What a special story! I highly recommend reading this story, just be sure to bring the tissues. A heartwarming story of a Mom's day to day life and how she deals with her Mother's death. Wow! I would react like to see this book turn into a movie. I don't know how it would , but I think it would definitely be interesting. I enjoyed the confessions of Delia's life. It was written so as a journal. I loved the emotions that it made me do. Laugh and cry 😢. The family and their neighbors and how you want your life to be what you think your neighbors have. #11 Bookhoarders Challenge - make it a movie 🎥. Wow! Fun and real... in some ways, it read more like a copy of my journal than a novel—but in a very good way. I could see myself in the main character and connect to her struggles. Her "confessions" rang true, the characters were complex and believable, and I enjoyed every minute of it. It's one of those rare novels that manages to teach you something about yourself... you will be glad you read it. Delia Gray and Dixie Boon are the best of friends. Delia Gray and Joanna Fripp are the best of frenemies. Except Delia and Joanna's kids are friends, well kind of. Delia has three kids, a full-time job, and not many organizational skills. She's southern and hysterical to read about.
