Bit of an odd duck! I gave this book a try because of the description that appeared on the Amazon.com website. The description and book bear almost no resemblance. Yes, the main characters are named Stacey and Kiera. They do attend the same school. Kiera is a shy academic and talented athlete who develops a friendship with Stacey. This ends the points of intersection. There is no coming out story. Stacey isn't a transfer student who sweeps Kiera off of her feet. It takes place in college, not high Bit of an odd duck! Stacey isn't a transfer student who sweeps Kiera off of her feet. It takes place in college, not high school. The plotline includes exactly nothing about Kiera dating guys. She reacts negatively when she's duped into a charity auction event and a bisexual woman bids to share a few hours together. Aside from false advertising, the book isn't bad. The story, writing and characters are okay. It concerns women's sports at Faber University. Episodes are strung together. Only those stories concerning sports go somewhere and the rest don't. It builds as most sports stories do to a championship game. It is extremely unclear whether the ending is a cliffhanger or just plain confounding. I doubt that many folks will get a chance to read this odd duck of a book. The Rebound can no longer be found on Kindle.
