A collection of pretty good stories with nothing bad. Richard McKenna - They Are Not Robbed - 4 stars - Time travel? Multiple dimensions? Dreamland? This is a good story but very nebulous. Fritz Leiber - The Turned-off Heads - 5 stars - A tongue-in-cheek story involving big muckey-mucks at a university, war paint, incense, and a computer that decides that it can do whatever it feels like doing. Fun! Robert Sheckley & Harlan Ellison - I See A Man Sitting On A Chair, and the Chair Is Biting His Leg - A collection of pretty good stories with nothing bad. Richard McKenna - They Are Not Robbed - 4 stars - Time travel? Multiple dimensions? Dreamland? This is a good story but very nebulous. Fun! Robert Sheckley & Harlan Ellison - I See A Man Sitting On A Chair, and the Chair Is Biting His Leg - 4 stars - When Robert Sheckley & Harlan Ellison get together you can expect something really different, odd, unexpected, weird. This story has bits and pieces of that scattered all over. But, it's very readable. Josephine Saxton - Light On Cader - 4 stars - A man climbs a mountain in Wales to fulfill a promise to his mother who died many years ago. He finds what he was looking for, but it doesn't end up quite like he expected. Arthur Sellings - Crack In the Shield - 4 stars - In the far future, society has fractured even more into the haves and have nots even with respect to safety. At least that's the way that the highest social level views it. One man finds out that things might not be quite like he thought. Another good story. Isaac Asimov - Science: The Seventh Metal - 4 stars - A nice history of how the element Mercury was probably discovered and how it was viewed throughout history. Sonya Dorman - Lunatic Assignment - 4 stars - A totally off-the-wall story about a group of men in what seems to be an insane asylum. What is really happening? Lloyd Biggle, Jr. - In His Own Image - 4 stars - The lone survivor of a disaster in space makes it to an emergency space station and finds one other person there as well as a lot of robots. There is a definite culture clash between the two people.
