Good read! Enjoyed this book. Kept my interest through the last page. Characters are well fleshed out, enough so you care what happens to them. Looking forward to next book in the series!

Apocalypse enemies... The start of the apocalypse. A man-made flu has decimated 99% of the world. Will is a professor at a college in Maine. He can't believe things are as bad as reported. He rushes home to discover his family is fine. But Ben, their youngest son, will lead them to disaster. And who is the army which is not our army? Are we being invaded? This was a pretty good book. Action but not over the top. The characters were adequately described and the dialog was spot on. I would read anoth Apocalypse enemies... The start of the apocalypse. I won a copy of this book in a Goodreads giveaway. This is a very enjoyable book. It is fast paced with interesting, realistic characters and dialogue. An ominous, end-of-the-world story without vampires or werewolves. Really makes one think about what could happen with the world out of control. I will be looking for the next part of the story.

I liked this book! It is a good story that promises to become an interesting series. The story is of a family that are not prepared when the country and world is hit by a man-made virus. The main story is about the family getting separated from one of the sons, and what they go through trying to him again. It's YA novel with very little or no profanity. There are a couple of sentences that are incomprehensible, otherwise pretty well edited (in my understanding with hot having English as my 1st l I liked this book! Smart story. I enjoyed that the author didn't hit you over the head with the outbreak but allowed the reader to use their own imagination to draw out an image of what was happening. The main character, Will, was relatable. He was an everyman with no prepper experience trying to survive. Looking forward to book two. Smart story. Family-oriented Solid story about a family coping in a post-pandemic world. Clean, suitable for even younger teens. May be suitable for some children, but care should be taken to discuss the unlikelihood of such a lethal pandemic.

Mediocre writing. The plot was simple and direct, and could have been more effective with better characterization.

Great I loved this book, no zombies, it's great to read a apocalyptic book without them. I'm looking forward to the next one. Great I loved this book, no zombies, it's great to read a apocalyptic book without them. I'm looking forward to the next one.

The plot is simplistic and predictable, with lots of cliches. The writing is OK, though amateurish in places. However, this is an enjoyable read with endearing characters. WARNING: the Kindle version contains a high number of typos.
