This is the 3rd book in the new sexy series by Foster and I really did want to love it like I did the first two books but with this one i had some issues. This is Jackson and Erica's story. Erica's boyfriend of 9 months decides to purpose for her birthday and she decides she needs to think about and by thinking about it she goes to sleep with Jackson and goes camping with him. So here is the kicker that made this story difficult for me to even like. Erica's boyfriend knows all about Erica and Jackson having sex. Yup can we say awkward?!? I really wanted to like this book but I couldn't get into Erica and Jacksons relationship. We know they are close but they secretly love one another and it only changes because someone else purposes. I guess I was just expecting Jackson to be a little more like his brothers in the women department. This book is filled with naughty sex scenes so be prepared. The last book in this new series is Cooper and hopefully his book has a different plot then this one.

Each book can be read as a standalone, but the characters are interconnected as the series centers around the Wild brothers. I have been waiting to get Jackson's book, especially after the tease we got of him at the end of Heath. I knew that his story would be one I couldn't wait to read since it is about Jackson and his best friend Erica. While I absolutely loved Erica and Jackson together, I will admit that there were a few things here that kept this one from being as good as the previous two books for me personally. When Erica Lane's boyfriend of nine months proposes to her on her birthday, she immediately turns to her best friend Jackson. They are set to go on their annual camping trip for her birthday, and she needs him to help get her mind off the proposal. Jackson and Erica quickly jump into bed with one another as they have over the last thirteen years of friendship. Though Erica and Jackson have date others, their friends with benefits pact has remained in effect the entire time since their first hook-up. But with a marriage proposal on the table, everything changes and both Erica and Jackson are left wondering how they can possibly move forward without things being the same between them. Can they figure out a way to let one another go, or will they finally be able to find love in one another? As I said before, I loved Erica and Jackson together. The friendship and bond these two had was never in question. Neither was their chemistry. These two were seriously hot together, and they knew one another inside and out. There was so much history between Erica and Jackson, and I enjoyed each glimpse of their past and how they became as close as they were here. Both Erica and Jackson were afraid to commit to any one person, but it was clear that if they could it would have been each other. The fact that their feelings were so real and strong was where some of my issues came in, because it was clear just how much each of them meant to one another. I didn't quite understand why they had never made that transition from friends with benefits to full on relationship because they were basically there already. Though they were each with other people at times, neither of them was ever serious about anyone else. My other big problem with this whole situation was the fact that I found it to be pretty unbelievable. I didn't understand how Erica could be in a relationship with a guy for nine months that was willing to propose to her, all the while knowing that she was still sleeping with her friend at the same time as him. He didn't have a problem with her going on a camping trip alone with Jackson after he had just proposed, and he had to have known exactly what would happen. It just didn't seem to be realistic to me, and I don't know a single man that would allow that to happen if they felt like the relationship was a serious enough one to propose marriage. As much as I loved Jackson and Erica together and thought that they were perfect for one another, the problems I mentioned and the fact that this one ended so abruptly made this one my least favorite of the series so far. I wanted to love this one so much, but I just wasn't able to like I did with Logan and Heath. I do think that it is worth the read, especially if you have already started the series. There were some really great moments here and these two were hot! But I am hoping that Cooper's story will be more like Logan and Heath's than Jackson's. **ARC Provided by Tasty Book Tours**

This is the third book in the 'Wild Boys after Dark' series. The title gives an indication that this is Jackson's story. He is a photographer and co-owner of a prestigious photo studio. He is a photographer and co-owner of a prestigious photo studio. He is what would classify as a man whore. He enjoyed women and had a special appreciation for leggy blondes. He did not believe in being monogamous. It was, for this reason, he failed to acknowledge his true feelings for his best friend Erica Lane aka Laney. Laney and Jackson have been best friends for most of their lives. They had a friend with benefits arrangement which appeared to be going well. However, things began to unravel when Laney received a marriage proposal from her current boyfriend. Will Jackson finally acknowledge his feelings and fight for Laney or will he let her go?I was looking forward to reading Jackson's story. I enjoyed it, however, there were certain aspects of the story that I could not wrap my head around. First of all, I could not fathom how Laney's boyfriend was so accepting of her's and Jackson's relationship. His actions indicated that he did not care for Laney, as there is no well-thinking man, who would be accepting of the woman he loves and wants to spend the rest of his life with sleeping with another man. I found this aspect of the story unrealistic. It was evident that Jackson and Laney were more than friends. They behaved like two people involved in a relationship. It was more than sex between them as such I could not fathom why it was difficult for them to make it official. Their actions were frustrating to the point that I wanted to shake them both. It is for these reasons that I was unable to give this story a higher rating. The relationship between Laney and Jackson reeked of complications. Here we have two people who obviously love each other, but one did not wish to give his womanizing ways. Jackson is the epitome of the adage wanting his cake and eating it. He wanted to continue his arrangement with Laney but was not willing to commit to having a monogamous relationship. I considered his actions selfish. Why did it take a proposal from another man to make him see what was in front him all this while? Of all the books in the series, I found this one to be more sensual. The sex scenes were explicit and did not leave anything to the imagination. Their chemistry was off the charts. To conclude, this was an ok read. I have to admit that this is my least favourite of the series.

I love how seamless Foster's books are. The way they flow from one to the other, but the necessity to read them all or even in order isn't necessary. Until one day something changes...or so they thought. Laney is faced with a decision that could change the course of her life forever...and leave her best friend exactly that, just her friend. Jackson though...that man isn't one to give up so easy. And when the object of his affection is threatened to be taken from him, there's no telling what he'll do to keep her. I can't say I absolutely loved it, but I did really enjoy Jackson & Laney's story. While nothing quite compares to Logan (maybe that's just me and what I like in a hero), I can honestly say, Jackson was a close second. He's funny, and sexy, and he's fierce in his love for the people around him. I look forward to seeing what happens with the final Wild brother, Cooper. **4 Friends with Benefits, Stars**

Longtime friends Jackson Wild and Erica “Laney” Lane have had a friends with benefits relationship for years and it’s worked for them so far. Then Laney gets a marriage proposal from her boyfriend right before she leaves on her annual camping trip with Jackson but instead of jumping for joy, she jumps right into Jackson’s bed. The camping trip takes a different turn as Jackson and Laney start to realize that their friends with benefits relationship can’t continue indefinitely. I hate to do this because I usually love Foster’s work but I had to slam the brakes on this one. I get the edgier and sexier vibe that the author was going for with this series but I just couldn’t figure this one out. (view spoiler)[Jackson and Laney have a friends with benefits relationship that continues even when one or both of them are seeing other people. More befuddling to me is that Laney’s boyfriend knows about the relationship yet not only does he propose to Laney, he is totally okay with her going away with Jackson for their camping trip. Um, did I miss something? I could get it if this was labeled as a m/f/m romance but it’s not. As much as I tried, I couldn’t get on board with Jackson and Laney. (hide spoiler)] I thought they both came across as selfish and a little cold and when it came to Jackson, Laney was a pushover and let him get away with too much. Here’s the thing, Jackson and Laney definitely loved each other, they knew it, they owned it, but they don’t realize that they’re in love with each other in the “I’m all in and it’s going to be you for me and me for you for the rest of time” sense. I think that’s what this short story is about, their journey from just sex buddies and friendship to something more meaningful and permanent. The plot was a little unbelievable to me and I know that this is fiction but I do need to believe in the characters and the story being told and that didn’t happen here. I just couldn’t get past the way Jackson and Laney disregarded other people’s feelings because of their friends with benefits bit going on. Some people might take offense at what they would consider (view spoiler)[cheating but I saw it more as the two of them having an open relationship with each other that didn’t necessarily take into account the other people they would be seeing (hide spoiler)] . This is the first time I’ve heard Paul Woodson and while I may not have enjoyed the story I did enjoy the way he narrated the book. His voice is easy on the ears yet still has a way of getting a person’s attention with minimal effort. Click It or Skip It? I’m going to be honest, I didn’t care for Jackson very much but it’s one of those stories that really depends on the reader’s preference. I’m going to Skip It but if you’re okay with their kind of relationship then buy all means Click It and have fun.

Erica has being dating a guy for nine months who more then understanding abou her relationship with Jackson (red flag anyone ) and despite all that, out of the blue he proposes on her birthday. Panicking she turns to Jackson as she hopes that he will set her straight as he knows her like no one else . However Jackson has been thrown for a loop because he never thought Erin would be proposed too and as they set off on the annual camping trip for her birthday. All they want to do is get their mind of red herring in the room with sex… Yep they jump into the bed instead of dealing with that herring as this how they have cope (red flag!) as whilst they have date other people they still have maintained heir friends with benefits pact for the last thirteen years and no one has questioned it really. Um Serious Leaving wondering why only now, why hasn’t anything else shake things up considering that they have be through thick and thin. Will they be able to sort things out or will they wake up to what has been front of them the whole time. It was obvious from the little insight we saw in Heath that these two were meant to be together but I felt it more one sided with how things played out. Jackson is dealing with emotions and things he never thought about and felt his emotions and thoughts came out stronger . As it was Jackson who was questioning things more rather then Erin who wanted him to make a choice. He had the weight of everything on his shoulders, it made Erin feel slightly weak. I felt there should have been more from Erin she should have been questioning things herself instead of letting Jackson deciding for her As they both had the same issue, the issue of committing but it when comes them not thing would let them separate. It a bit ironic given the whole story and the reason for why they finally came together as everything was there . Chemistry, feeling so why play around with each other for 13 years… This wasn’t my favourite book in the series, I felt it didn’t have the same believable like the other stories. It more the storyline then anything with the whole boyfriend angle. How he was willing to let Erin do what she did and despite just proposing. I wanted to see more of him and questioning things instead how it ended. That why I give it 3.75 couples For more of my reviews, visit Confessions From Romaholics. And drop by the blog's Facebook page

This is Book #3 in the Wild Boys at Night series built around the 4 Wild brothers, Heath, Logan, Jackson and Cooper falling in love. This book is brother Jackson’s story. This book is brother Jackson’s story. Honestly after reading the teaser at the end of the previous book Heath’s story I almost didn’t bother to download this one because the story seemed so ludicrous even by contemporary romance standards. But I was curious. I’ve read a whole lot of BFFs to Lovers stories. Every contemporary romance writer has at least one in her resume, many more than one. This trope has always driven me a little bit mad because I don’t know how you get to adulthood without knowing that friendship is as important if not more important than sexual attraction in maintaining a lifelong relationship? If sexual attraction is the spark that ignites a relationship, that keeps it exciting, then friendship is the glue that holds it together when times get hard. But this one had a different twist on it. Where as most BFF to Lover tropes are about two best friends who are in love with one another (neither aware of how deep the other’s feelings go) afraid to risk their all important friendship by taking it to the next level, becoming actual lovers. In this story the main characters have been lovers for going on 13 years. They started having sex together when they were 17 and now 30 they still do on occasion. How are readers supposed to accept the idea that these two who are even closer emotionally than most married couples and have such explosive sexual chemistry that even more than a decade later they still can’t keep their hands off of each other, haven’t become more than friends with benefits? The story opens with Laney rushing into Jackson’s apartment demanding he fuck her right now. She’s carrying a dozen red roses and a box of candy and it’s obvious to Jackson she’s been crying and is upset. Laney’s boyfriend of 9 months Bryce has proposed to her on the eve of her 30th birthday sending her into a tizzy. Bryce is apparently as screwed up as Jackson and Laney because why would a guy date a woman for nine months who refuses to even commit to a monogamous relationship and admits she occasionally sleeps with her BFF? It’s pretty obvious the reason Laney didn’t say yes to Bryce and is so upset is because she’s in love with Jackson. The guy who has a key tattooed on the palm of his hand that fits the key hole in the heart she has tattooed above her left breast. The guy she’s had a pact with since she was 17 that they’ll only ever go bareback or have anal with each other. If that isn’t obvious enough about their feelings for each other, we’re privy to both characters inner thoughts so we know they have deep feelings for one another that go beyond friendship. As it happens they always go camping on her birthday. Which means they’ll get plenty of alone time. Which again the guy who just proposed to Laney is okay with. Somethings not right here. In fact Foster makes the Bryce character as unbelievable and most of this story. He's good with his woman fucking another guy. Not unless he's into swinging. He only does missionary. Now what guy has a problem with, doesn't desire switching up positions? Especially if the woman he's with tells him what she wants short of whips and chains. Ridiculous. As it turns out Laney is aware of the fact that she’s in love with Jackson and he’s the guy she really wants to put a ring on it. She just doesn’t see it happening because Jackson doesn’t do relationships so she’s tried to find happiness in the arms of other men. It doesn’t dawn on either Laney nor Jackson that perhaps he hasn’t ever had a relationship for more than one night with another woman is because he’s in love with Laney. It hasn’t dawned on Laney that perhaps her anti-monogamous stance is why Jackson has never tried to be more than her best friend and occasional lover. How fair is that to the guys she’s dated that she’s in love with another man and sleeping with him while she’s sleeping with them? When she compares staying overnight and sex with Brice to staying overnight and sex with Jackson I was just so not feeling sympathetic to or supportive of her character. Unfortunately, Jackson like too many contemporary romance male leads has his head stuck so far up his ass he doesn’t know up from down. Jackson doesn’t want Laney to marry Bryce or anyone because he wants to be able to keep having the best sex of his life with his best friend. But he also doesn’t want to be in a committed relationship with her despite his feelings for her because he also wants to continue his manwhore ways of meaningless hooking ups with the models and actresses he and his brother photograph. Even as he contemplates losing what he has with Laney he’s convinced he can never be what she needs because he doesn’t believe he could ever be faithful, even to her. This also doesn’t make any sense because Jackson has never tried to be in a committed relationship so how does he know he’d fail at it? How am I supposed to be sympathetic or like him as the male lead? He is at least self-aware enough to realize this is a very selfish way to feel. IMHO Jackson really can’t see the forest for the trees. Will the threat of Laney accepting Bryce’s marriage proposal effectively ending his nookie time with her be enough to wake Jackson up and realize a life-long relationship with Laney is better than a thousand random hook-ups? I never thought I’d say this about a Melissa Foster book but I thought this book sucked. No wonder it was only $0.99. I had a lot of problems with this story. I’m not even certain why I read it to the end? I just could never get past the idea that these two spent the past dozen years sleeping with other people and each other at the same time. Not between relationships with other people but during them. I can’t call it cheating because Laney is always up front with the guys she’s dating about her sleeping with Jackson and Jackson only does one-night hook-ups. Whatever, I just couldn’t get past it and it left me not really liking either character. Which is completely out of character for me because I usually crush on the heroines. But as sexy as Laney is I can’t get past her sleeping with two guys at the same time. This story (not that I’m complaining) has more sex scenes than any contemporary romance I’ve ever read and that’s saying something. When Jackson isn’t contemplating losing the ability to fuck Laney and telling himself why he can’t be what she needs to hold on to her, he’s got his hands, mouth and cock in all of her orifices. When Laney isn’t busy trying to decide whether to accept a marriage proposal from a man she knows she doesn’t love and has never been faithful to she’s using her mouth, hands and every orifice on her body to fuck Jackson, the man she does love. That’s pretty much the whole story. Ultimately of course Laney figures out that she can’t marry Bryce just because Jackson won’t commit to her. And for some strange reason suddenly Jackson can’t get excited about sleeping with anyone but Laney so he realizes he can be faithful to her. What I don't understand is if he's always been in love with Laney why was he sleeping with other women to begin with? When you love someone you don't want anyone else. I love happy endings. It’s why I read contemporary romance. But even a happy ending can’t save this one. Sorry Melissa. Hoping Cooper’s book will be better.

I received an ARC of this book from Tasty Book Tours in exchange for an honest review and as part of the book's blog tour promotions. So, this review is quite difficult for me to write because I am torn between loving this book and just "liking" it. I know there shouldn't be any middle ground, but I can't help it. So, this review is quite difficult for me to write because I am torn between loving this book and just "liking" it. I know there shouldn't be any middle ground, but I can't help it. Let me start first with the fact that I love the friends-to-lovers trope. I could read as many books with the friends-to-lovers theme and still not get bored with all the variations that can happen to the stories. Aside from that, I also love Melissa Foster's books. Those two facts alone should guarantee that I love this book, right? Here's the part that makes me hesitant: I couldn't get a lock on the relationship between the heroine and her supposedly "boyfriend". I am sure that he is a nice, almost perfect guy and all, but I couldn't reconcile the fact that he'd let his woman, one he asked to marry, go on her annual camping trip with the hero, one he knows has a complicated relationship with her. Okay, maybe that was a good thing because it just showed that he and the heroine weren't right for each other and that the real conflict was between the main characters and their push and pull kind of relationship. That's the only thing I wasn't completely down with in this book. However, everything else was great, as always. I think Jackson is probably the wildest out of the Wild brothers. Then again, I still have a fourth book to read. Well, I think that aside from the weird relationship that the heroine had with the men in her life, this book was hot, a little kinky, and still a lot sweet. Therefore, I guess I should say that I am happy, and I loved it. I am excited for the fourth book, and I'm already wishing there are more installments. Maybe a novella that would feature all Wild boys with the HEAs or something. Oh well, one can only hope.

Logan's story was filled with tension and suspense; Heath's with a whole lot of emotion. Now here in Jackson's story, we get pure, raw, animalistic passion--the kind that will have you breaking into a sweat along with the characters and wondering (along with Jackson's brothers) how Laney and Jackson have never realized just what they really mean to each other. In addition to this being a passionate, sexually charged story, it is also a friends-to-more tale which is one of my favorites. In addition to this being a passionate, sexually charged story, it is also a friends-to-more tale which is one of my favorites. Jackson and Laney have always been close as best friends since they were young, and have a unique relationship of friends with benefits-even when they are dating other people. This was a bit odd for me at first, but since they are totally open about this with others, I got used to the idea quickly (to each his own, right?). Though how Laney's current boyfriend (and pending fiancé) is okay with the arrangement is beyond me. It is so very obvious every moment they are together that they complement each other and belong with each other...it's just getting both of them to that realization that provides the tension and drama in their story. Add in to this that Laney and Jackson can't seem to keep their hands off each other, and the fact that when that happens, it's explosive, edgy and downright naughty...well, you've got yourself one hell of a hot read that you won't want to put down. This was a one-sitting read for me, I just couldn't stop reading. 5 absolutely scorching stars for Jackson, definitely meant for 18+ only for adult language and explicitly erotic sexual content.

I am a huge fan of Melissa's books and I love them all but Jackson and Laney's story spoke to me in a special way. There was something about their connection that had me rooting for them even more than normal. Jackson and Erica 'Laney' Lane have been friends since they were children. They have been sleeping together for around 13 years and they are both too stupid to realise how deeply in love they are with each other. After Bryce proposes to Erica both Jackson and Laney's worlds are sent into a spin. It was very interesting to see how they both reacted to the proposal and how they dealt with their feelings. Everything about these two is intense and passionate. I feel their passion for each other radiating off the page. I am looking forward to reading the final book in the Wild Boys series.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review. I am loving this series and the only thing about this one that I didn't love is the length, it was half as long as the firs two. But it was still good, sexy and has another Wild brother in it. But when her current boyfriend proposes, both Laney and Jackson freak out. Will she accept the proposal? Will she get Jackson to realize his feeling for her? Because she knows that she loves him more than just as a friend. This is a great story but as I said it is short and I would have liked more. Still, if you are looking for a sexy, take me away for a little while series, then check out this one, you will enjoy the Wild Boys After Dark.

Bryce is stable, a good choice, someone she should settle down with, but Jackson excites everything in her. Can she walk away from that? Jackson is by far my favorite Wild brother. I'd take a walk on the Wild Side with Jackson, that's for sure!! I loved the rougher, sexier side to this one. I liked the other brother's books but there is always something sexy about the unattainable bad boy.

When your best friend is of the opposite sex things can get messy. Jackson and Erica are all friends with benefits and are all good with that until that is put on the line. It was tough to watch him struggle and see their friendship struggle and almost fall apart. I was praying for a happy ending for these two. If you are familiar with Melissa Foster you have an idea what to expect. Beware that this series is a little hotter and a little sexier. Things are more graphic and the men steamier. I have said that I am in lust with the men in this series.

We have to trust that the author will see us right, even if the journey is not exactly as we would expect. Ms Foster however does not disappoint - and she also writes uber hot scenes, which keep the temperature well above seasonal norms ... phew, and phwaor!

Hmmmm so I have been really enjoying the Wild Boys After Dark series. But I will be really honest here I had a hard time with Jackson's book. I have to say I love best friends growing up, become friends with benefits story lines. But at least to me Jackson and Laney's story just didn't click with me and was kinda of hard to believe. This book is my favorite in this series so far. I really like that the main characters already have a history and connection in the beginning of the book. I enjoyed learning about their past and the progression of their relationship throughout the years. This book really tugged on my heart strings. I felt their love, pain, and confusion. I enjoyed the love that they have for one another even though they are afraid to admit how deep that love actually is. Their casual no commitments plan come crashing down when Laney is proposed to by Bryce, her currant date guy. A nice guy, who will make someone a nice catch someday, but will it be Erica? Erica like excitement, she likes challenge and she likes a little bit of kink in the bedroom. Jackson fulfills all of those needs in her. Bryce, not so much, he's very missionary vanilla, but he's so steady that you can set your watch by him and his predictability. Is Bryce what Erica really wants? Jackson has always been there for Laney. He has helped her when she has had a bad day, a bad date, a break up, especially when her parents divorced. He has provided a strong shoulder and loving arms to cuddle and comfort her and most importantly, mind blowing sex when she wants or needs it. Anytime she wants or needs it , no commitment attached. When Laney shows up completely crushed by Bryce's proposal, all of a sudden things get real and Jackson realizes that he may lose the best thing he's ever had. This book is intense, it is a page turner, and you may feel the need for a smoke and shower after finishing it. I would recommend this book and all of the books in the Wild Boys After Dark series to anyone that likes that bit of dark excitement that will have you wiggling in your seat and wanting your partner to read it as well.

I listened to this book. The narration was good. I was surprised at the length of the audiobook. It seemed to be over fairly quickly. It was an OK read. I did like the premise. I'm glad that there was not a ton of angst, and they moved through the difficult parts pretty quickly. I do wish that Laney's conversation with Brandon had been written in to the book. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall for that one. I also wish there had been more written about Brandon and Laney's aging interaction. You only got to have a vague idea about Brandon from Laney's perspective, not any actual engagement of them as a couple It was an OK listen. A little over 3 hours. The first two books seemed to be longer with more detail.

It was a bit of a strange relationship but that was their relationship I guess. L Looking forward to Cooper's story next!

I love all of Melissa's books. I have this book in my to read list but I decided to listen to it first. I Loved the story between Jackson and Laney (Erica). I did have a hard time with the audio.
