When a bridesmaid goes missing at the wedding taking place in the hotel when Rachel works, she is asked to fill in as a replacement. Secretly, she plans to raise the 35k by taking photos of the bride and groom during the ceremony and send them off to an entertainment magazine. A risky move until one of the groomsmen Mickey starts to fall in love with Rachel. One wrong move and both of their lives will be in despair. This was a quick, fast-paced read for me, I love the idea of having a music playlist throughout with links to click on and be taken to the song. As someone who loves books and music, it was a great combination. I am still a new reader to NA books but I enjoyed this one. Just wished it could have been just that little bit longer. Everyone learns a little something and an HEA was guaranteed. With all the follies that take place the mishaps just pile up. I found this one to be a fun read that was certain to lift the mood of things.

Let me start off this review by saying I don't usually read romance - heck, it's a genre I rarely ever connect with. But Caught on Camera was such a blast, and I enjoyed every minute of it! Rachel needs a whole lot of money if she's ever going to get into her first choice film school in LA - a problem that's so wholly relatable to other New Adults like this reader right here. But Caught on Camera was such a blast, and I enjoyed every minute of it! Rachel needs a whole lot of money if she's ever going to get into her first choice film school in LA - a problem that's so wholly relatable to other New Adults like this reader right here. I remember looking up how much money I could make selling my kidney. Rachel's smarter though - she gets a job working the summer at a hotel in Muskoka, sneaking snaps of celebrities she hopes she can sell to reach her financial goal. But when a bridesmaid fails to turn up at the huge, star studded wedding that had rented out the hotel for the weekend, the bride needs Rachel to go from maid to bridesmaid in a flash. This gives Rachel a fantastic opportunity to sneak pictures of the event. What she didn't count on was love at first sight. When she meets Mickey, there's an instant attraction - but what if he learns her secret? Sure, there are a whole lot of clichés and tropes in this novel... but it's a Rom Com! And it will have you laughing out loud, let me tell you. You have a bridezilla with a temper; a tiny, very needy dog; a comedy of errors as Rachel's luck flip flops all over the place. And, of course, you have the couple you want to root for so much you could burst. I think what holds me back when I read romance is the suspension of disbelief. A lot of things happen by 'coincidence' which are a little too convoluted. And we have a lot of coincidences in this novel that made my eyes roll... until I started to really get into it and want Rachel and Mickey to end up together. After the climax of the novel, as we push for resolution, I found myself thinking of how perfect this ending was, how much I wanted every second. I realized that the author had fully managed to reel me in, despite my annoyances with Rom Coms! I closed the book thinking how brilliant of a movie this would be, with butterflies in my stomach and a craving for chocolate. So. Fantastically. Sweet! I think what sold me was Rachel. She's so relatable and fun! I love her ethical dilemma, I love the classic makeover scene, I love watching her fall for Mickey. She's a perfect stand in for the reader. Oh, and did I mention this novel comes with its own soundtrack? You listen to the playlist at key moments and are sucked right in! So unique! So while I'm not a big fan of the genre, I'm still a huge fan of this book. Perfect feel-good weekend read!

The book was ok. For a romantic comedy, I didn't find anything to chuckle or smirk about throughout the whole book. It was predictable and lacked character development. The characters didn't have much depth either, they seemed to lack personality and took on stereotypical to roles. Rachel is sweet and mild mannered. Mickey is a hunky agent who found Rachel to be different and a breath of fresh air from the Hollywood scene. I thought Mopette, the adorable dog, is a nice touch to the story. The book was ok. This is a light romance: a modern Cinderella thinks she'll finally catch a break when she is recruited last-minute to sub for a bridesmaid at a celebrity wedding, but the man she's falling for hard might very well disappear at the end of the glamorous celebration. And she'll go back to cleaning out the guests' rooms at the luxurious Muskoka hotel. Meanwhile, he becomes convinced she's betrayed his best friend... Caught on Camera is a light-hearted comedy of errors type romance with a guaranteed HEA. Most of the action takes place over a weekend at the wedding of a model and a Hollywood actor, with a cast of Hollywood’s A-list. The heroine of a tale is a simple chambermaid Rachel who is working very hard to afford her fees for Toronto Film School. The GM of the Hotel had one rule the housekeeping staff have to be plain. So Rachel in her baggy clothes, mousey brown hair and black glasses fitted the bill. As Caught on Camera is a light-hearted comedy of errors type romance with a guaranteed HEA. As with all fairy tales when Rachel is in the Brides suite, It happens when Catherine “ Candy “ Kane , CEO of Candy Kane Cosmetics finds her Maid of honour had not been allowed in Canada because she had a conviction for Driving under the influence. Seeing Rachel she asked her to try on the dress. This is how Rachel becomes a guest as the bride’s cousin and a bridesmaid for the weekend festivities. This book is very entertaining in many ways. I read this on my kindle, and it was programmed with a song list. Every time we came to a particular part, you pressed the link to You Tube and a very good piece of relevant music played. The playlist was listed at the front of the book, and you could ignore it if you wished. So we have a makeover for Rachel, with blonde highlights and wonderful clothes. So she spends a weekend of romance with a friend of the poor groom. This is a great book for entertainment value, it’s funny, clichéd. As I said a comedy of errors, and Trent accuses Rachel of selling photos to the paparazzi. Rachel was planning to do that, but as she got to know the groom, and realised how he felt about privacy of the wedding ceremony. She couldn’t do that to him. When her phone is found the next day with photos on it. Some very private pictures appear the next day Social Media and television. It obvious they were taken by someone at the wedding. In Trent’s eyes Rachel is the main culprit, when confronted she acts guilty, because she feels guilty. I let you find out the rest when you buy the book. I recommend this book, if you are the mood for some light hearted entertainment. Sometimes it just what you want. I know it worked for me. I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

As a new reader to this author I had no idea what to expect but I loved the sound of the blurb and overall I enjoyed this book. Rachel and Mickey, who tell the story through dual points of views, have a great connection. Given that the majority of the book takes place during a wedding and it’s last few days preparations, the time frame means it is relatively short but the pace of the relationship development felt steady and the two characters grew closer. The sub-characters all play fairly large roles in this book in not only developing the two main characters but in also further and widening the plot. Caught on Camera is well written but a good flow. A couple of chapters are told from a sub-character’s point of view that adds more elements of drama and tension to the overall book plot. As I’ve said before, the majority of the book plays out at a fast pace over only a couple of days but towards the end of the book, there is a bit of a leap forward in terms of time frame, adding a bit extra to the book. This can be read as a standalone with a HEA. Overall, I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone looking for a shortish romantic comedy read or if you enjoy a secret maid romance. *I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.

The hero, I think he has a little problems with the trusting thing, he thinks she hurt him when she sold them, but I do not think so. Anyways, both characters seem to have found what they were not looking for, and it happens to be the best thing that would ever happen to them. There is just this little fact that lies where involved from the beginning, however, if it is true love, then everything would be forgotten or everyone would be forgiven. That is so beautiful :') Overall, I like it, even if I think it was kind of short because it is just a weekend in which the story happens, but if you see the whole perspective and idea of their story, everything has sense <3 I completely recommend it, because a cute, sexy and comic romance is never enough!

A cute romantic comedy that reminded me of Maid in Manhattan. This story of Rachel, a maid, who suddenly gets thrown into a world of high society during a wedding at the hotel where she works. This is a quick read that I really enjoyed reading. The dynamics between the characters was interesting to delve into, especially the interactions between Rachel and her fellow staff when she is pretending to be a rich bridesmaid at the wedding. I laughed myself silly. This book is exactly as advertised. A q A cute romantic comedy that reminded me of Maid in Manhattan. This is a fun, quick read. It is funny and sexy. It is also, a real and honest look at honesty and having morals when it comes to relationships with others and being true to yourself. The characters are fully developed and fresh. The story is interesting and refreshing. I loved that someone has actually written about being honest even if it may not benefit you in any way other than keeping true to yourself.
