She has multiple series out there and a huge fan base. After reading Taken By Love, part of the Love in Bloom series/The Bradens, I can understand why. This book wraps its atmosphere of small-town around you from the very beginning. You can feel what our main character does as she is back to her roots due to her father's injury while working the family farm. Daisy Honey is now a doctor ready to start her own practice. She survived the torture of this small town... it wasn't easy being the girl with an early budding body, almost white-blond hair, and being accused of behavior unbecoming. Always having to go through the obstacle course of catty teenage girls and hormone stupid boys at high school was not easy... but Daisy made it through. She became strong. She left this gossip mill with only a couple of good memories to hit replay... her mentor, the Doc Waxman who encouraged her to pursue her dreams of medical school and Luke Braden... who was the only person who came to her rescue one night when she was accosted by some boys. Yes, she made it out of Trusty, CO, and is only going to stay for a few weeks to see to her dad's recovery and help her mom. She also will pass the time helping out at the urgent care clinic. At least she will be able to keep herself busy doing what she knows how to do, taking care of those who need it. Luke Braden runs into Daisy and although the situation is innocent enough both of them are antsy around each other. She, because she had a massive crush and it seems to have been dormant all these years. The two of them are like a slow burn which becomes an extremely hot flame... Luke is used to having women interested but he knows small-town perils and learned his lesson. He doesn't play with any of the women from town or even surrounding areas. He has been trying to just live without any hell-raising. He's kinda over all that. Had his fill with his brothers and now is thinking to settle down with that one person. The only problem is he has never connected with people the way he does with his horses. He has a beautiful ranch which is the focus of his life. Being a top breeder of gypsy horses has been the most fulfilling, most rewarding. He bonded with his "girls" and other horses to the point he is almost like a horse whisperer...but people, not so much. This makes him shocked when he and Daisy seem to have this thread of understanding between them. It pulls him to her, he wants to do things he has never done before like sit and talk or just kiss for kissing sake not to get laid. He is confused yet kinda excited... because the two of them are feeling their way with each other. There is another thing which binds these two... both have been victims of town gossip and accused of being something they are not and it is this understanding of being misjudged which causes them to be careful with each other in this friendship. The creation of Luke Braden was genius for this story. He is every fantasy Ranch/Cowboy guy...I couldn't believe how perfect Ms. Foster made him. He was hunky, sly, smart, and flirty... but what hit me most was his wanting and recognition of how much he felt for Daisy. This was a man who knew his limitations... he never felt for people or a woman... never had been in love. He had seen it through his brothers falling for their women but him...never felt it. He was so open to what he felt; he was fearless. He was willing to talk to Daisy about all of his confusion with these feelings. It was so straightforward and felt real for his character. He respected Daisy as being a doctor. She had offers for New York City and Chicago on the table with a given a specific time to decide. Daisy had a decision to make and her new relationship with Luke began to impact her plans... I would be remiss if I did share how hot, swoony, and sweet the sexy times were. There was a rawness in how strong this man felt for her. Once he realized he loved her, he was all in. This story explores small-town pluses and minuses; everybody knows everybody's business and how it can be vicious. Yet that same community can also lift up and help those who need it without a moment's thought. It illustrates the need for medical practices in these farms and ranching communities; many are an hour away from any medical facilities. Where working from sun up to sun down is the norm and the drive is just not acceptable. Overall this was something I enjoyed. There were moments that struck me deeply and if you are open to a story with sweetness at its core with plot and some very sexy times to boot... then this should be added to your TBR list. I really enjoyed this book. It is part of a series, but I read it as a standalone. This book reminded me of a Sunday drive through the country. It was slow, but the journey was beautiful. Daisy grew up being picked on in school. The rumors about her cut through her like a knife. All she ever wanted to do was move far away from her hometown. Daisy was blond, beautiful, and very smart. In school the girls were jealous of her, and would make up stuff that was not true. She left for college and became a doctor. After finishing college, she came back home for a little while. Her dad had a accident, and she wanted to be home to help her mom and dad out. This gave Daisy time to figure out where she wanted to work. She had two offers in big cities, that would allow her to learn cutting edge medicine. During her stay in Trusty she found out the people were not as bad as she remembered. the girls that were mean, had all grown up, and felt really bad for the way they treated her. Daisy and Luke feel in love. The romance felt slow, and not rushed at all. I could feel the connection between the two. Daisy worked at a urgent care while she was home. She was frustrated because everyone would use the urgent care for all medical. The town did not want to drive 45 minutes to see a doctor. The town's doctor retired, and all they had now was the urgent care. She saw a need for the town. Now she must decide if she wanted to be the towns doctor. This book was worth the read. Like I said the pace was slower than most of the books I read, but the journey was heartwarming. Some things should not be rushed. Great book!

Her father has been injured in a farming accident and needs her help, and family helps family, no matter what, but Daisy would rather have a root canal then come back to the place that made her life miserable and lonely. Luke Braden has been known for two things, being a breeder of excellent horses and being trouble in his youth. He’s handsome, charming if he wants, but has never settled down with one woman. He’s also the only person to stand up for Daisy when she needed it most all those years ago. When Daisy and Luke cross paths again, they are now adults, both lonely, both with their life paths carved out for them, but will the electricity that sparks between them throw them off course and into each other’s arms? Daisy has no intention of staying in town, and Luke wants a woman who will stand by him, will their attraction be short-lived, only to be doused by distance, or will the heat of their passion solidify their growing bond? Taken by Love by Melissa Foster takes two people, tosses in conflict, romance, humor and the smoldering heat of passion to come up with the perfect romantic read for those who like the flavor of rugged cowboy in their heroes. Add to that the great dialogue and banter and I was hooked. Ms. Foster succeeds in bringing that small town/small minds feel to life, where everyone knows who is doing who and has a definite opinion to share. Her characters are well-developed, some a bit clichéd, but they add to the “essence” of small town charm, playing their part to the hilt. I swear I could smell the coffee, the hay and the sweat from farming in the heat of the Colorado sun. Each scene comes to life as these two dance the dance of denial as their affair can only be short-lived. Will their hearts overrule their heads? Ms. Foster has created a tale that can raise your heart rate, frustrate your romantic side, and keep you asking for more. I received an ARC edition in exchange for my honest review as part of the Braden Series Tour. For Dr. Daisy Honey, growing up in Trusty, Colorado was a time that she’s more than happy to put behind her. Because of her unique name and gorgeous looks, she became the target of vicious rumors. He has never been far from her mind and she has fond memories of the way he stood up for her when no one else would. But his checkered past and recent run in with the law has her seeing yellow! She knows that her time in Trusty is limited and getting too close to Luke may not be the best decision to make. Not to mention it will only fuel the rumors that she worked so hard to extinguish. But the longer she stays in town, the more she realizes how dire Trusty is in need of a town physician. When she discovers that many people are driving almost an hour away to see a doctor, and some patients are skipping appointments altogether, she’s torn between leaving town and staying to help the people who made her childhood a living hell. What I love about this book is that it wasn’t your typical romance novel. It had deeper elements about bullying and domestic abuse that was brilliantly incorporated into the story. It had you rooting for Daisy one minute and then swooning over Luke the next. This is one of those books that you won’t be able to put down and you will be thinking about long after you finish the last page.

The book features the characters of Daisy Honey and Luke Braden, they are both lovable and easy to relate too. The character of Luke is one that I was desperate to know more about, the author delved into the past of both the characters and let the reader become gripped on them. I normally don't get this addicted too a book but this one was different, it kept calling for me to go back and read more. You know that it is a good romance book when you wish that you had a Luke Braden in your life. He is a sweet, kind, gentle soul who matches perfectly with Daisy Honey who is very loving, tender and sweet. The love that grows between them can be easily felt by the readers, you urge them on, want the best for them. To me the best kind of romance novel is one in which the reader actually feels like they know the characters and their surroundings. Thanks to Melissa Foster's brilliant writing skills you get taken into the book, feel what the characters are feeling and feel like you do know them. I will definitely be reading all of the books written by this incredible author and I look forward to finding out more about all of the characters featured in this book, the two main ones and their families and friends. I adored this book!

Daisy and Luke have the sweetest hearts, but are bogged down by less than stellar reputations. In a town where gossip runs rampant, two acquaintances find that they never really knew each other at all. If Melissa Foster has a way with words, B.J. Harrison has a gift for breathing new life into the way a heart looks at the real word.

I really enjoyed this book, and I can't wait to read more from this series. After her father gets injured, Daisy Honey heads back to her small hometown of Trusty, Colorado. She was treated horribly in high school and was given a bad but completely untrue reputation, and has avoided going home since. The only person that ever stood up for her was the sexy Luke Braden. Daisy has plans to accept a position in either New York or Chicago as a doctor, but she hopes that while she is in town she will have a chance to see Luke again. When she runs into Luke, they start talking again and end up going out together. As the two of them get closer though, they both realize that they are running out of time before she leaves town again. Being back in Trusty, Daisy realizes how badly they need a doctor and how much things have changed. With Luke and Daisy's growing feelings, can Daisy sacrifice a big city career for a chance at love with Luke? I really loved Luke. He was sweet and caring, sexy and strong. He was so easy to like, and he was so much more tender and gentle than you would ever expect. He loved animals and loved being on his ranch and working hard. He was down to earth, and he was quick to help those in need. Daisy was strong and smart, and she had worked hard to become successful after everything that she had been through. She was quick to help others just like Luke, and she even went out of her way for those that had bullied her years before. I thought that Luke and Daisy were really great together, and they just fit well. They understood the other perfectly and you could tell that they had a great connection. They also had really amazing chemistry and were super hot together. Overall, I thought that this was another really great addition to this series. Each installment is filled with wonderful and likable characters that are easy to relate to and that you want to root for. Taken By Love was no exception, and I was so interested in seeing where things went for Luke and Daisy that I blazed right through this one. I think that this series is definitely one that contemporary romance fans should check out, and that most readers will really enjoy. Daisy and Luke are two of my new favorite characters, and I really enjoyed reading their story and seeing them fall in love with each other. I highly recommend this one, and it is definitely one of my favorites of the ones I have read in this series. **ARC Provided by Tasty Book Tours**

Yep. I'm just going to come out and say it...again. Melissa Foster creates some of my favorite fictional characters. They are full of life, love of family, and passion. Daisy works as a temporary doctor at the Trusty Urgent Care Clinic. She is not very happy about it. She would prefer to work in any other place. But her family needs her. Taken by Love might be my new favorite book by this author! When Daisy Honey returns to her hometown it is with an end date. The writing was terrible though. The mysteries that were there held no suspense. It was all very predictable and there was zero room for imagination. After hearing it 15 times it was clear that Daisy was leaving and that they were connecting. If you like romance novels pure for the swoony romance it is a good story. If you are looking for a good book: skip it.

It's sappy, predictable and utterly fluffy - basically, the perfect summer romance novel. It's sappy, predictable and utterly fluffy - basically, the perfect summer romance novel.

It does not seem like I am finished with reading the fifteenth book in the Love in Bloom Series. Melissa Foster does not make anything drag or become boring and so enjoy every moment of reading her novels. You just can't sit still and wait for the next one to come out. I have read every single book in the series and you can find all the reviews on my accounts. You could easily read some of them as stand alones because they take on their own meaning, but the more you read in the series the more you will know about all of the characters, the background and where they came from and act like they do. All of the characters stories are entangled together throughout all the novels and I really enjoyed this book just as I have all of the others in the series so far. I am so happy that there is more to come. Melissa Foster has really hit it with this series. Daisy's father gets hurt and so she makes her way back home to Trusty, Colorado. For one, adorable names and settings for this novel. It sets the mood for the character of Daisy. She has not had a great experience throughout her life especially in high school so she was not relishing in the fact that she would be going home. She has actually avoided going home ever since she was able to leave. The only one that ever stood behind her was Luke Braden. Okay, swoon moment while I just think about his character. Gush! Moment over. Daisy had big plans to go to New York or Chicago but now she is wondering while she is back in town if she would see Luke. And alas, they run into each other and head out together. They get closer and closer but then know that time is running short to when Daisy would have to leave town. This was a sad moment, but Daisy is a smart girl and she weighs her options of just staying in town to be their doctor. She is torn between big city dreams and the chance to be together with Luke. If I were her the choice would be easy! Luke was a character that had all the sweetness and charm that you have come to expect from the Bradens. There was so much to like about him and you loved that he worked hard but was a deep and caring soul. Okay, another swoon moment. Luke and Daisy had great chemistry and connection together. Reading their moments that they had together was almost blissful. This was a great new story to be added to the series and with each book I am getting sucked in more deeply. When the series finally ends, I think I may just cry. Can Melissa Foster just right this series until I am old and can't read anymore? Heaven forbid but still.... Romance fans rejoice at another great installment to the Love In Bloom Series by Melissa Foster. If I could rate higher than five stars, I would! Disclosure: I received a copy of this book in exchange for my open and honest opinion. All thoughts are my own.

The Love in Bloom series has a special place in my heart. Melissa is always writing these fantastic characters that you can't help but love. I was extremely upset when I finished the Braden series so as soon as I heard there was some more of them lurking out there I couldn't wait to get stuck in. This is the first book about the Braden Cousins. Daddy Hal has a sister Catherine and she also has 6 children. Daisy Honey had a difficult childhood. When she was at school the girls used to bully her. They spread rumours about her because she was pretty. It was childish and deep down they were just jealous. That didn't mean that it hurt Daisy any less. She struggled through school and even when she left to go to university, med school and her residency she always had those rumours in the back of her mind. It didn't matter that it wasn't true it still affected her life. I think that Daisy is incredibly strong. Especially to return back to a place where she was so miserable. What Daisy never expected when she returned to Trusty was to bump in to the man of her dreams. Quite literally. When she was younger Luke Braden had stuck up for her and she never forgot it. Luke has all of the Braden traits. He's loyal, sweet, kind, caring and of course drop dead gorgeous. Luke is the youngest of his siblings and his father left before he was even born. He's been restless for most of his life but he's recently bought a ranch and feels like he's starting to settle. When he meet's Daisy again  he realises it's her he's been waiting for. Luke think's he's been messed up because he never knew his dad but as you will read it's made him a better man. I really loved the last chapter of this book. It was just so incredibly sweet. I cannot wait to read more of the Braden Cousins' stories.

What a fresh breath of romantic literature this story is! Melissa Foster has written a tale without the typical 'romance format', all of us, who read romantic novels are familiar with. There was no hiding, or fighting against it. I loved that they were actually dating in the beginning, That they wanted to get to know each other on a deeper level, not just to explore the physical appeal and interest they had. The passion runs high between them, the heat level is up, the love they feel for each other is deep, genuine, and palpable. The story is set in a small town Trusty, Colorado. Melissa Foster paints an idyllic picture of the charming small town living, where gossip runs like a wild fire, where people step up, supporting and helping each other, when the need arises. But not all is good and lovely in Trusty, Colorado. The story is a reminder how bulling can, and will, affect on people, for a long time coming. Amongst the other issues Melissa Foster touches with Taken by Love, is domestic abuse, and how often we just look away, wishing someone else would step in and do something about it. In like manner, we see closely Luke's struggle with the abandonment issues, after his father had walked away on the family, before Luke was born. But through all the issues, problems, and struggles the characters has to work through, the family stays strong and supportive, having each others back. Taken by Love is not just a sweet, heart melting, and swoon worthy love story. It made me think, take a notice, and evaluate myself on many levels. I couldn't just inhale the story on one sitting, I had to stop and think about the deeper issues, that were brought up. Certainly worth the five stars I gave it, since this is a story that will stay with me.

Daisy Honey left Trusty Colorado to go to college and never planned on returning other than seeing her parents. However, her father got hurt so Daisy returned for what she hoped was temporary to help take care of her father’s farm. Daisy is a gorgeous woman and was gorgeous as a child as well. She fielded rumors left and right, and the local girls always taking cheap shots at her. Daisy has no true reason to stay well that is until she meets Luke Branden. Luke Branden is a hot and sexy man. Luke is a local horse breeder and one of the best. He is the youngest out of all his brothers as well. While Luck wants to settle down he has not found anyone worth his time, well that is until Daisy walked into his life. Daisy has Luck looking back at his childhood and wanting answers to question that have always plagued him. Therefore, Luke goes looking for the answers he seeks. The chemistry between Luke and Daisy is blistering. It was apparent from the first sight that they had a connection. I enjoyed seeing how both Luke and Daisy tried to fight the attraction and failed. I enjoyed seeing that Luke was not going to force Daisy to stay but let her make the decision that is best for her. I found this book well written. The main and secondary characters are interesting and engaging. I loved seeing past characters of the other books make an appearance. Overall, this was a wonderful book. Each book I read by Ms. Foster gets better and better. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

At school jealous girls did their worst spreading vicious rumours about Daisy's morals. She couldn't wait to get away from Trusty and the harsh community. Eleven years have gone by, Daisy is a qualified Doctor with high profile job offers, but she is forced to return home when her father takes a fall from his tractor and injures his back. Daisy has taken a temporary job at the Trusty care clinic, a clinic supposedly set up for emergencies as it is a forty-five minute drive away for locals to go to see a personal doctor. However Daisy soon finds that the locals are in need of a doctor for the community. Luke Braden is a rancher with a bad reputation, yet he was the one person who stood up for Daisy all those years ago. Daisy has never forgotten him, so running in to him in Trusty fulfills her dreams. Luke's not sure what to make of his attraction to Daisy, he's never wanted more than a one night stand with any woman, but Daisy takes his breath away. Can he lay his demons to rest? And more importantly will Daisy ever stay in Trusty? Another good read from Melissa's stable of hot romances filled with handsome, strong, often vulnerable men and intelligent, intriguing sexy women. Can be read as a stand alone or as part of the series.

Fabulous! Taken by Love by Melissa Foster begins in Colorado with a gal called Daisy Honey who has completed her medical residency. Well, Melissa, you really outdone yourself… it wasn't long for me to try catching my breath. At the diner, Daisy is right in front of Luke Braden, the man who stood by her some time ago. He had come in the diner because he had hurt himself and needed some first-aid. So who is Emily? She is an architect but enough said on that. Wes Braden walks in the diner. There was some gossip going around that I never thought men engaged in with all the frivolous talk making the story very engaging. A small town with real people makes the book the perfect avenue for daydreaming. But, as we all know Melissa Foster, there are going to be reasons why they will not be together… maybe. The first one is conflicts. The second one is Daisy’s career. Where will Daisy decide to work is still unknown. Luke wants to know and you, the reader will find out what Daisy and Luke are going through. A fabulous read. I recommend it. Adriana LG

I welcome that the characters are not totally absorbed with each other from the very beginning – attracted yes – and I found myself applauding Luke, Daisy and Foster after reaching the final page! ~The Book Stalker Reviewed

I love reading about small town living and family communities. That setting is a default favorite. This book, happens to part of huge series (15th to date) and a sub series (7th) yet it was nice that the story can still be read as a stand alone. As warm and inviting the characters are and of the Trusty, Colarado, the book had the expected ending and was a fast read. However, I still found the book to be lacking in conflict, too easy to read and everything kept falling into place as it should be. I love reading about small town living and family communities. I totally loved this book. I’m becoming a rather big fan of Melissa Foster. I read this book as a complete stand alone and it in no way spoilt it. Charming, contemporary small-town romance. I like how the h/h each had conversations with the relevant people to resolve their pasts, although they seemed to resolve pretty quickly.
